Decline, then edit if there is room for that, otherwise, create another EOI using the correct years of experience. Yesterday’s draw was 60! Who ever thought that would happen?

The thing surprise me o! All the way from 87 it kept dropping till it got to 60! I never saw it coming!

What happens if I can't apply within 60 days of being invited to apply?
Once you are invited to apply, your EOI profile will be removed from the EOI pool. If you don't apply within 60 days, your Invitation to Apply will expire. You will need to create a new EOI profile if you remain interested in applying to the SINP.

In essence, I can go ahead and create another one now (since it has been removed from the pool) instead of waiting 60days. My fear is that if I decide to wait til 60days, the NOC might no longer be in demand or cut-off might skyrocket again beyond my reach! Why can't I just do so again now, perhaps with another email?

Am I allowed to create another EOI while I already have received ITA, and they are awaiting my application (response) to the ITA? My submission date is still left about 1 month.

Can I do so now?

likely rejection unless maybe the VO smokes igbo that day

grin grin

I've made up my mind to decline anyways. The funny thing is that 3 subsequent draws were far lower than my score by more than 6 marks. That's less than 3years working experience. The latest draw even accepted 60marks. I had 66, but mistakenly put 67! Oversabi don ruin my chances! Too much mathematics approximation!

Hi house.

My spouse wrote IELTS again, abut had SLWR: 8,7,7,5.5.

I need her to have at least 6 in all to qualify for Competent speaker, but she's finding it difficult. One component is always less than 6.

How else can I get additional points should I decide not to gain points from her. We don't want to keep wasting money on IELTS. I'm currently on 70 points (minus nomination) waiting for VETASSESS. I fear that in the next 7 months, I will lose 10 points to age... bringing my score to 60. It would have been nice to have that 5 points from her to remain relevant in the pool. ..even after my next birthday. Please advise!

Hello house,

I have a question please!

I got SINP nomination. The cut off point was exactly my score! However, I claimed to have 7years experinece whereas I have about 6years and 8months. The reason I approximated it was because I couldn't find any figure inbetween (e.g 6.5 years or option of inputing years and months on the SINP portal). I also didn't want to throw away the 8months because I felt that 8months was near 1 year and could be appriximated to one year. By the time I will be submitting my application, I should be 6years and 10months. Should I be bothered about rejection or misrepresentation? Kindly help as this is the only snag preventing me from not making up my mind to submit.

The payslip is to confirm you are working and earning money in your nominated field. The said amount is in $AUD and includes all payments (including bonuses and tax). I wasn't earning that much when I was nominated...and I am still not earning it now but the curve is going up (which is what they are interested in). Therefore, you can't be denied because your employment letter is not showing the approximately #75 million naira pay per annum.

Well, we all know that Professors and several professionals are poorly paid in Nigeria, courtesy of per month payment instead of per hour!

Thanks for the clarification.

The other hurdle I see here is getting a nominator.

It might be worth opening a new thread for this and helping 'us' with guidance on packaging this application.

You are not expected to be receiving this amount per annum at the time of your nomination/application - you will be assessed for future potential to earn this much. So, your current job and position, qualifications (especially MSc and PhD), innovative talents, international recognition/awards in your field, publications etc can be evaluated to meet the threshold.

If so, why is there a request for payslips as evidence of earning the equivalent of the mentioned amount?

Let them take payslips out of the equation please grin. The payslip of the average Professor in Nigeria reeks of poverty to say the least, especially when converted to USD! Imagine a Professor with many patents, publications, and awards earning 416k/month (just about $1000 @ official exchange rate)!

Has anyone heard about the Global Talent Visa Program in Australia?

This pathway allowed me to obtain my PR within a week with no skill assessment, no English test and no regional localizing!
You can read about it:

https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/working-in-australia/visas-for-innovation/global-talent-independent-program

If you consider yourself competitive enough, I am happy to answer a few questions.

Timelines: Student Visa (Research) in 2015, PhD (2019), Post-Study Visa (2019), PR (2020), Citizenship (2022), Passport (2022).

I read about this sometime ago. Quite an interesting call, but how can any interested applicant from Nigeria possibly meet this tall requirement: "Candidates should have the ability to attract a salary at or above the Fair Work high income threshold of AUD162,000"? grin

Please, In my Reference Letter from my employer, is my employer supposed to state the amount I earn (salary) and indicate its equivalent in AUS $ or USD?

Priority is 10 work days while normal process is 10 to 12 weeks.

Im seeing several assessment types online. Please, which one exactly am I expected to apply for? In another webpage, I saw Full Assessment for about AUD$ 962! undecided

I'm guessing it's the latter.

Hi House,
Please how long does VETASSESS full evaluation take to get a feedback? I'm about to submit for full assessment. I hope I can meet the next draws before it closes.

If your degree is in the same field as your WE e.g. Accounting WE with big 4, you should be fine regardless of whether it is a PhD Accounting, MSc Accounting, or BSc. Accounting.

I did not read that you need to have acquired the degree BEFORE the work experience. I also don’t know if SINP wants to see ECA for ALL education or just the highest one.

Research SINP website again and if still in doubt, best to email SINP and ask. Also read through this guy's post he seems to have done SINP with a PhD.

My MSc (Public Health) and my Ph.D. is also in Public Health. I have been working as a Public Health Officer & Researcher.

What does your NOC say under employment requirements? That's what SINP needs you to have as the degree that matches your WE.

It says Bachelor's degree. Does it mean I'ld be disqualified for studying further up to PhD in the same field?

HI all,

Sorry please, do I have to do a WES evaluation for my MSc and Ph.D. for SINP? I'm thinking of applying for an upgrade to include my MSC

All I have is just my Ph.D. evaluation because IRCC stipulated that only the highest degree should be evaluated. My job experience started a few months before the end of my Ph.D because I had gained the job by having a Masters Degree in that field. I hope the SINP Assessor will not request for WES evaluation for my MSc? undecided

Hi guys,
Please if you are presenting pay slips, is it compulsory to have it stamped by the Accounts/finance dept? or simply scanning and uploading them would do?

To get nomination, register multiple EOIs on the 'federal portal' like you call it. For each EOI, select one state and indicate if you want 491 or 190 and if your occupation is on the 189 list, add it to the list.
For example,
EOIa - NSW 190 (tick the 189 box too)
EOIb - NSW 491 only
EOIc - SA 190 (tick the 189 box)
EOId - SA 491
You should create at least 4 to open up your chances. You can use same email address but note down your EOI numbers and passwords.

Then monitor each state migration website for their nomination requirements. For example, NSW requires ROI for 491 but not for 190.
If a state nominates your occupation and you did not create EOI for them, you can create a new one asap or modify one of the EOIs you have to that state.
The state points are automatically added when you select the visa class on EOI.
The federal draw is only for 189 and not for 190/491
If you apply for ROI in SA for example and you meet the requirement, you will get a pre-invite to submit documents to the state within 14 days. After which the state will approve your nomination and you get ITA directly from your EOI.

Thanks a lot for this explanations. It's makung a lot of sense to me now. I get the sense that EOI is more like a federal portal and ROI for the states?

I also hope one can not get banned for multiple accounts? Are we not allowed to create one profile, select multiple states, as well as tick 189, 190, & 491 on each state selected? Just like EE allows applicants to select all states (except Quebec) on a single profile. What's the implication(s) ?

One last question please, from your last paragraph: since the federal draws are only for 189 and NOT for 190/491, then why are we creating EOI (federal expression of interest) for 190 & 491?

Again, if you get nomination from a State, and you submit all documents in 14days, and receive final approval, is that a guarantee you'll get visa clearance from federal? Or has federal got nothing to do anymore once you've obtained state approval?

Sorry Im asking too many questions. This process seem a bit more complex than the Canada's EE. I wonder if that's why a lot of people are not swarming this thread like its IRCC's EE counterpart. undecided

so some states like NSW,SA ,VIC.etc will still require you to go to their own state portal and fill what they call Registration Of Interest (ROI) that they will use alongside the skillselect EOI by the fed govt/DHA.One of the information they will ask you there is your EOI ID.It is important to note these states so one does not just fill the EOI and not fill their ROI

Okay, if I get you, this means an applicant must go the federal portal to register for EOI first, before visiting the various state portals to complete their respective ROIs. When the state nominates you, they grant you a +15points to add to your federal account portforlio, which increases your points on the federal portal. In the event of a draw on the federal portal, your chances of being selected increases. This is comparable to the Canada's PNP and Federal draws? Am I right?

fortunately VIC has not made getting a job an eligibility criteria for their newly released 22-23 guidelines.in fact theirs looks most attainable of all the ones I have seen so far. you may quickly need to do a ROI on their site as it is now open....goodluck!

Thanks for the info. That's some good news there!

Please what's the difference between ROI and EOI?

Pls what does this screenshot mean for Queensland 491. Does it mean that an applicant must be residing in these zipcode areas to be eligible to apply for Subclass 491? i.e. It's not open to offshore applicants?
