Don't be so quick to conclude that. I remember Nigerian government doing that in 2020. When airports around the world began reopening, Nigerian government started issuing warnings that the rule of reciprocity applies and that any country that places a ban on Nigerian travelers will themselves be barred. The whites thought Nigerian government was joking. Sure enough, a day or two before Nigeria was officially to reopen her airports, the minister of aviation released a list of countries barred from Nigeria and her airspace. Come and see how quickly Britain and other countries removed Nigeria from their red list. White people think say dem get sense. They know their countries are only rich because they are helping themselves to Africa's resources. Only fools are not aware of this fact.

op, We are in the same boat o! Exactly the same experience here oooo! She's the last and calls family members 15times daily! Any little quarrel, every of the family member will hear about it and support her. When they've not seen themselves physically for 3 weeks (even when the call is regular), they begin to call frantically and sometimes even start shedding tears on phone!! They are all tied to one another apron! TBH, sometimes I blame myself for not walking away at the initial stages when I noticed all this rubbish! I was thinking she would outgrow it, but on the contrary, it's getting worse! Some people are simply NOT just built for marriage!

Why do you guys keep pushing people into unknown suffering, do you know how many people languishing in foreign countries that are even looking for a return ticket to run back home? Don't push people to make life decisions without proper research and planning.

A majority, just like you, are getting the point entirely wrong! The desperation to leave the country, does not only stem from the desire for greener pastures or wealth, but for social security, feeling of safety, access to basic amenities, social welfare, quality healthcare etc. These basic amenities are increasingly getting out of the reach of not just ordinary Nigerians, but also out of the reach of even wealthy Nigerians as evidenced by the rich members of the society travelling out of the country for medical reasons! For others, the political instability and frequent terrorism from UGM, kidnappings, banditry, herdsmen, etc, raise fears for the future of the country and they want to get their children out of this hell-hole as fast as they possibly can.

So, it's not just for the money and good jobs! It's for the feeling of security, safety, and the assurance that they are in a society that works - one where they can find justice should they decide to seek justice for any reason! Overall, peace and security remains on priority list of most japa enthusiasts, before wealth and monetary gains. Only war torn countries are facing the kinds of challenges many Nigerians are currently battling with. Such countries should be avoided at all costs.

Someone pls recommend a good charger for 200AH battery! I would actually prefer one that can automatically detect fully charged battery and cut of charging to avoid overcharging. I've been searching on jumia.

UK - good transport system all-over! Subways and buses work well! You dont even need a car!
Universal health care!
Gun control

US - good transport system available only in some states! You'll need a car!
No universal health care! You'll need health insurance!
No gun control.

However, I think US appears to have more opportunities for work - just a little better than UK! However, a good job doesnt come easy in all these countries, especially for men of colour!

Not so short that they now desire you! Except for those in health field, and of course there's a condition - pass the exams convincingly, then start the job hunt. If you are lucky to get all these done within 2 yr post-study period, good for you! Else, find your way back to square one!

Speaking from experience, UK does not have jobs for you after graduation. The job market does not favour international students after graduation. They are, however, happy to have your money and to count you among the growing numbers of their international students!

I was actually thinking that expiration after ITA does not count as expiration, since ITA has been granted within the validity period (2yrs) of the result.

Even if African governments can't properly afford to make education get to the poor, what are the private companies and multi nationals doing in regards to education? Despite university education being very expensive in America, there are a lot of grants and scholarships put up by private companies and NGOs to make sure that bright students like this brick layer achieve university education. But our NGOs and multinationals are more interested in sponsoring bbnaija(don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with the show) and building mosques and churches. What I am saying is that we should make it a point of duty that great talents like this are not hindered because of lack of finance.

The Prof even put it mildly. The nitwit representative put figures behind it to buttress what the Prof was saying (foolishly thinking he was countering the Prof's position), but in real sense, he had just emphasized it further! 2% of national budget for less than 500 persons is outrageously exorbitant. It also speaks a lot about the intellectual capacity of the kinds of representatives we put there - people who can not engage in critical and logical discourse without roping themselves (and the entire nation) into more problems.
