SporaD8:Spot on! These guys there made my childhood TV favourite series memorable! The one in the dark costume was the Mr Right - always trying to get things done correctly, while the other in cream cloured costume (I don't know their names) was extremely frustrating; always sabotaging his efforts! How time flies! I'll search for the real names of the actors! The producers and directors were very creative! |

The word "cheap" is relative. Nevertheless, Ford is not for the Nigerian market because the demand for Ford cars is extremely low, and second hand value is abysmally discouraging! Nigerians would prefer a Toyota or at least a Honda. Whereas, Ford isn't a bad car. It's as strong and as reliable as any other car if well maintained. Replacement parts might not be as commonly found as its Toyota counterparts, but are also not as expensive as often rumoured! I drove a Ford Escape for 10years before selling it recently. I only changed alternator twice, and Airconditioning system worked on about three times - which is a common problem with most cars used in Nigeria as we tend to have our ACs switched on veey often due to the hot weather. The car had no faults whatsoever and buyer was pleased to have bought it. He still drives it around without fixing anything. From my experience using a Ford Escape, I'ld say it's a good car! ..and would recommend one anyday and anytime. I hardly respond to questions like this on Nairaland because I believe that experiences differ significantly and depends on a lot of other factors! So, I dedicate this response to my Ford Escape (2005). Buy one, use it well by maintaining it adequately, and thank me later. |
beekind:Perfect! @OP, what are you still doing in your mum's house at 28? Please even if it means teaming up with a friend (although it's better you maintain a personal space by renting alone), find and rent a decent studio room apartment and leave your mum's house. When you've all left (including the boys), her eyes go clear and you'll see humility. |

Those guys will promise you all the billions and mansions..for you to bring home the glory, but when it comes to fulfiling or implementing their promises, haaaa! they'll keep dribbling you! You need to see all the signed and stamped documented promises with ASUU since 2009, up till now, none has been implemented! ASUU don cry tire! These super eagles team did well by not winning o! If they had won this AFCON, I wont be surprised that by 2064, they'll still will not have been paid their allowances by FG! Wayo wayo FG! |

Liessssss! Besides, is popcorn the people's problems? Leave popcorn, provide basic social infrastructures! |
seunayantokun:Very valid point. Let's start with our diet and tackling sedentary lifestyle. A car with AC is seen as luxury! Stereotypical views that those who treck or cycle to work are poor, so most people would rather sit in Airconditioned cars, to Airconditioned office all day long, and be driven back home in AC cars. Vegetables and fruits are hardly in diet, rather fatty foods such as pomo, beef, goat meat, plenty oil palm, etc etc is the daily routine causing atherosclerosis. Nutritionists ain't doing enough to educate people. Our diet is just too heavy! HBP remains a major Public health challenge. |
