I love the way the Yoruba's switch tongues, its almost as though its an ethnic gift! @ first they despised,hated and even detested GEJ, They vowed not to vote him in calling him a puppet and all sorts of names, but as soon as they noticed things did not go as planned during the polls, all these threads and post asking "these" questions about the SW started emerging from thin air. The way I see it based on where I voted, Most, if not all the people who voted GEJ, where non-SW'ners and YES! I reside in Lagos.

If we take NL as a yardstick, it is easy to see that the votes from Lagos are Igbo votes. Yoruba on NL - and their hatred for Jonathan because they thought he is Igbo - mirrows their hatred for him in real life. Yoruba did not vote for GEJ in the SW. Igbos and SS people living there did.

SWners should count themselves lucky that GEJ is not as as vindictive as Obasanjo or Buhari. Otherwise, they will crawl on their knees for federal crumbs

But truly, the turn out in the SW was quite disapointing take lagos for example with over 6m voters something a little above 2m came out to vote, may be they were doing their laundry , but sha na chioce we dey live for a free world, the SE turn out get K leg as some of the turn out was almost 90%, it looks ridicules.

caves= oyo, ekiti, osun, ogun, ondo. except lagos which was former capital and was largely developed by Igbo

If the SE gets another state, then the same will have to be done with Kwara Jos. One for North one for SW.

Deadline for VP selection was in February, I beleive. The above news is rubbish as there seems no other support for the claims made. Check the date and the evidence from the weeks before to understand what I mean.
I doubt it because the decision made in the SE to support Jonathan had been made long before this - -- Remember many of these groups played a part in urging Jonathan to run for the presidency and in his fight against the PDP Zoning fiasco.
Well, yeah but much of that existed long before february of this year.

Even if it was just rumors. . . . wouldnt it had been a factor if SEasterners believed that Buhari rejected one of their own?

From what I've been reading from SEasterners on NL, the main reason GEJ was chosen was:

1) He had an Igbo blood/name
2) He has the potential to help the SE nation
3). . . . GEJ = The Biafra was is over. New thread/post I saw yest

No tangible reason.
