PoliticsRe: Let's See Who Wins - Jonathan Launches S’west Onslaught Against OBJ by sbeezy8: 8:07pm On Jan 16, 2013
Lol I dont know what you lot are thinking. Everyone in the mix is brainless and corrupt.

Use Bode George a criminal and Daniel who is also on trial with efcc against Obasanjo. With also Tukur being against Obj, Obj was the one who nominated tukur.

Well All I know is it cannot go well for any party which is a good thing for PDP. grin

This is an easy case of Nigerian politics - use and dump sycophants. Pawns playing Gods. everyone in politics is easily expendable. Now its easy to see why Nigerian politicians lack development because if its not Money, its battling opponents instead of tackling issues.

Ever since GEJ came to office which has been about 3 yrs- no development not in the Niger delta. But its a good thing.

Fulani herdsmen attack Enugu community

From KASSIDY UCHENDU, Nsukka

The people of Nimbo in Uzo Uwani Local Government Area of Enugu State are now licking their wounds following a recent attack on the peasant farming community by Fulani herdsmen.

At least two villagers were killed in the mayhem unleashed on them by the herdsmen who allegedly settled on the community’s farmlands in contravention of a subsisting court order.

The invaders also allegedly raped women, burnt houses and vandalized yam barns before fleeing the area.

According to sources, the only ‘offence’ of the villagers was that they dared to tell the herdsmen to take their herds of cattle off the farmlands of their hosts. During the attack, two students of Nimbo Community Secondary School were shot dead by the herdsmen. Those killed were identified as Thaddeus Utazi (17) and 19-year-old Michael Okeja , both JS3 and SS II students respectively. It was gathered that Thaddeus’ father, Chief Ugwo Utazi, fainted when he heard the news of his son’s death and died four days later. He was buried before his late son.
PoliticsRe: is Southwest really Irrelevant In Nigerian Politics? by sbeezy8: 1:00am On Jan 13, 2013
no region is irrelevant that being said SW saw no progress AT ALL when obj had the highest position in Nigeria.

Political appointments mean nothing for your region. GEJ is president but is east west road still fixed? is Bayelsa an investment haven? no lmfao.

OBJ being president only opended SW eyes, Niger deltans are catching on aswell. soon as GEJ leaves office and no resource control their eyes will open too.

Arysexy: Guess after the merger ACN will be dead and d new party will take over d SW? dat is a plus for PDP to reclaim SW, rmbr how AD went under after they merged with APP later turned ANPP?
wont happen the day cpc merges with acn- it will be the death of cpc as the result. ACN has nothing to gain fro merging with cpc.

@post cpc is VERY DRY AND DESPERATE you barely hear acn blowing trumpets forming committees etc. if anything i hear acn parties focusing more on state developments according to reports and interviews.

lol you have emotional issues - stealing money is not the core of naija problem development/lack of vision is. CPC politicians and the party as a whole lack what it takes to change Nigeria socially and economically.

They are old dry not innovative people

PoliticsRe: Why Jonathan Can't Save Soludo, Despite Intense Lobby By Ndigbo, S/east Govs by sbeezy8: 7:17pm On Jan 12, 2013
djon78: read my post, I said that if soludo is guilty he should face the music severly, why I was saying Igbo bashing was the kind of nasty and general comments u guys were now making abt Igbos, which was more of bigotry.

concerning the roads we are all demanding for better infrastructure to live a better life. once the right basic infrastructure( roads, railway, power, water) is in place economic growth directly increases. thats why I was impressed with the progress I saw when I was home 4 the yuletide, and mind u once these basic amenities are at home many of us will not need to live in other regions cos most of our buisnesses will be repatriated home, like once there is steady electricity I personally will be puting into place manufacturing plant down home to produce and export outside, thats why Goodluck ensuring steady electricity b4 2015 will be a open up a lot of things economically.
sorry i dont know what electricity has to do with anything in terms of igbo repatriating back hoe are you telling us that electricity all over the country is better than igboland? or something
PoliticsRe: Why Jonathan Can't Save Soludo, Despite Intense Lobby By Ndigbo, S/east Govs by sbeezy8: 7:14pm On Jan 12, 2013
aribisala0: Exactly what did he do well as CBN governor. During OBJ's regime there ws a huge propaganda machine to raise the profile of Soludo,Rufai,Iweala and Ribadu all designed to lend some Seal or imprimatur of competence/integrity to OBJ and his regime. Their "achievements" are debatable and in my opinion fictional. Soludo specifically failed to detect wholesale theft of depositors funds in our major banks.I do not think we should forget this quickly as this is the most fundamental function of regulation. The Ibori/Wilbros scandal is another one and then in 2009 he came out to say the government was capable of defending the naira completey denying the extent of our woes. What we must learn from that era is t be wary of hype and "celebrity" goverment functionaries.

What really are the TANGIBLES from his time in office??

My issue here is a simple one; if he has done wrong let him face the music. Those who try to confound issues by introducing his Igbo origins insult us all. People from major ethnic groups have gone down.Yes people from major ethnic groups appear to have escaped in what seems like selective justice but again Igbos have not been left out either and there are glaring examples of this. To the best of my knowledge this is the first time we are hearing of governors from one political zone trying to intervene in a corruption prosecution.I hope it is untrue because it really is an insult to the rest of us and shows a failure to learn from history.
I agree people like to be tribal esp when talkng about obj admnistration but truth is it was not a great just better than the terrible ones before him.

people always say obj stole 14 billion for electricity. liyel imoke was minister of power and steel lol

soludo is a common criminal no different than bankole george

This person in Mexico that is among the richest in the world he is also into telecommunication business. If you take Bill Gates, he is into computer business.”
That guy in Mexico Carlos slim is among the "MOST CORRUPT" in Mexico

But Slim’s biggest coup was the purchase in 1990 of controlling interest in Telefonos de Mexico (Telmex), the Mexican national telephone company. Strong-armed by the IMF and the World Bank to open the economy to market forces, the Government began a massive privatization campaign, selling off hundreds of state-owned companies.

sounds no different than what's happening in nigeria privatization selling businesses to the Elite-

Why criticize adenuga dangote osagie bello and praise carlos slim helu- when the mexican billionaire benefitted from the same practice.

Nigerians are DUM.B

Abagworo: There is no reason for any individual to be given OPL in the Niger Delta. It should have been given to communities and assisted by government. That way nobody will be super rich and Niger Deltans will reap more as the proceeds will be shared among all citizens of the community.

This woman is poor and just like Danjuma and his cohorts is sitting on the blood of Niger Deltans in particular and Nigerians at large.
rubbish her opl is not in the niger delta but in the Atlantic ocean about 100 miles off our coast. maybe mami wata is vexing for mrs alakija- cause there are no niger delta people in the area.

I am not saying Yorubas are not in corporate finance, we are talking of enterpreneurship and liquid cash. I have visited all states in Yoruba land, have friends from all region.Where have you visited in the east? Yorubas live in Port Harcourt,Onitsha and Enugu, what is your point? Lagos used to be the capital of Nigeria and that was why it attracted people of all works of life, same way as Abuja, what is your point here? Wall street is located in New York yet it is not the richest state in USA.
i dont wanna visit east- that thing theres NOTHING THERE

Sky Blue: Listening to Sardauna's northenisation policy of the civil service in the north was a tad shocking. 'If we can't get a northerner to fill the post on a permanent basis we'll try and get a white man on contract, if we can't get a white man on contract, THEN, we'll consider other Nigerians'.

Seems to me like the beginings of quota system and federal character. I just wonder why some of these characters are so romanticised in Nigerian history.
he lol- that guy was off the rocker some will come and claim awo introduced tribalism..... sure

PoliticsRe: Chimamanda's Review Of Chinua Achebe's Memoir: Things Left Unsaid. by sbeezy8: 11:39pm On Oct 07, 2012
There are tons of
treatises that talk about how the Igbo were
wonderfully integrated into Nigeria. Well, I have
news for them: the Igbo were not and continue not to be reintegrated into Nigeria, one of the
main reasons for the country’s continued
backwardness, in my estimation.
I acutally disagree the reason Nigeria is backward is PLAINLY because Nigerians are backward has nothing to do with igbos. Igbos under Obj IBB Gowon Abacha have been given strategic spots in Nigeria No doubt.

Igboman can become president, Nigeria WILL still be backwards. Plenty of states in the North are BACKWARDS- but that has nothing to do with igbo, Plenty of states in the Niger delta are Backwards but that has nothing to do with igbo, Plenty of states in the SW and middle are backwards but that has nothing to do with igbo, and PLENTY OF IGBO states where igbos are governing are backwards but that has nothing to do with ibo integration.

Nigerians are very backwards regardless of tribe or tribal integration, That is why I laugh when people clamour for a president from their region. Yorubas cried over MKO- Obj did NOTHING. Niger deltans cried for GEJ, nothing for Niger delta as of yet(hes preoccupied with the north and terrorrism which will take up his presidency for SURE)

LOL I dont know bout that one, Yorubas are pretty well off- They dont really lose money or investments outside their region and they are actually steadily increasing.

Hausas elite are WELL off in Abuja- no doubt about it.

errr Iunno bout that one. Igbo choose to live outside igboland for their own benefit. But what is in Igboland for non igbos? If it were attractive many non igbos would live in igboland.

But cameroonians dont even live in igboland, where as you find beninoise, togolese, ghanaian etc living in Oyo, Ogun, Lagos, and You find Chad,Nigeriens Malians in the north.
