couldn't find the run in background permission, if you could send a ss.
locking the apps seems to do the trick but its not perfect

Got this redmi4 about a week ago after a divorce from Redmi 3s.
Nice sharp phone i must say except for the unecesary large bezel and lack of backlight nav keys.
However i and my phone don't always agree on somethings .
The phone forcefully shuts all apps including "live apps" like BBM, WhatsApp and Mail apps. I need these apps to be always running .

All battery saving settings are off.

Any idea how to root Redmi 4?

I think we no more give enough credit to our selves.
We give up easily because we don't have 1 or 2 "Qualifications" in an advert.
The job I applied for, one of the required qualifications was having a master's with >2y exp. I had just a Bsc with 1y exp and I got the job.
