Battery is it for me. And the processor too. As long as those two are top notch. I'm good to go.

Yea. They should release phones in various colors too, not just one color. The Tactics have been working well for Gionee and Apple.
They should try it so that people with different Personality type will have options.

True. People get phones just for the beauty the colours bring. I think it's something Tecno can improve upon.

Not saying the p6 is not superior. It has a better processor but nothing stops tecno from adding a fingerprint sensor when ordinary Infinix hot s and hot 4 have fingerprint sensors at almost half the price of the p6. Its like they put all their resources on the p6 plus forgetting only a few people actually want a 6 inch phone. I mean what's the use of a 6 inch phone when it doesn't have an s pen like the galaxy note? In the long run the phantom 5 might just be better than phantom 6 apart from the processor. P5 is still more expensive.

I think I get your point clearly now. But I think the dual camera that the P6 has is the reason why the fingerprint is absence. Tell me a dual camera phone with finger print sensor, I think it's scarce if there's any.

It is still a step backwards in my opinion for phantom 5 to have a fingerprint sensor and then phantom 6 not to have. Look I know the p6 pro has but that's a 6 inch phone and not for everyone. A normal phone shoukdnt be more than 5.1-5.5 inches. I cant even imagine carrying a 6 inch phone that cannot do anything special. It is only understandable with the galaxy note series (even at that galaxy note is just 5.7 inches with minimum bezel).

No wonder a one year old phantom 5 is still more expensive than phantom 6.

I get you. But you can't get it all, look at the processor for example, one is spotting a 2.0 while one has a 1.5, this is an improvement, dual cameras on the 6 and one on the 5 are little differences that makes the 6 a little bit superior in my opinion.

Tough choice. But I'd favour the Phantom 6 + over the Zero 4 +

I don't think this can be true. If zero 3 has Helio x10, then it doesn't make sense if zero 4 has an inferior processor. Especially when phantom 6 has Helio x10. I'm still surprised phantom 6 doesn't have a fingerprint sensor... That's a serious let down. Not everyone wants a 6 inch phone.

I think not all dual camera phones have fingerprint sensor. You can get a phantom 6+ with sensor and no dual camera.

I used to be a staunch critic myself until I had an experience of using one of the latest devices.

Truth is, Tecno as a brand has moved on from it's humble beginnings and people should learn to do the same. It doesn't matter if some stubbornly refuse to smell the coffee, the brand has for a long run been a best-seller in Nigeria and Africa and it's more than likely to be at that point time and again.

Well said, people are so quick to judge without even getting to test or use any of the Tecno phones. There has been massive improvements over the years.

That's absolutely true about the battery and the optimization effect of the amoled display.

Tecno ranks high and that shows how far they've continued to improve.

Impressive and amazing in every sense. But I think that's what the Phantom 6+ was made for.

Because you use an iPhone doesn't mean these devices are crap. Coz you drive a Ferrari doesn't mean a Benz car is crap. Tecno and the likes have rolled out phones that can challenge your popular brands.

One of the ways tecno penetrated Nigeria market was through price. We had Samsung and others in the market but they couldn't penetrate that much because they don't care about Nigeria market until they started loosing their grip that was when low end android started springing up from them. To worsen it the so called low end phones can't match the specification tecno and others have apart from picture quality. Most Samsung users carry extra battery or power bank everywhere they go Isn't shameful. Samsung makers didn't consider the epileptic power situation in Nigeria to design what will suit us before dishing out their phones . this is why fast business men adopt SWOT analysis to win the market .Infinix phones an offshoot of tecno are doing well in that regards that most persons are buying their products because of battery life, and picture quality even though Samsung and others picture quality are better off.
Nobody is comparing Samsung with tecno but you have to put your pride and admit that tecno is a household name be it android,tablet and torch light phone. Visit most shops and ask which torch light phone is selling more. Samsung is a good phone no doubt about it but they're too pompous in their strategy that's why tecno knock them in Nigeria. Tell Samsung to swallow their pride and come up with affordable phones like tecno and see whether most Nigerians wouldn't dump tecno for their product

Android optimization will never parallel that of iOS no matter how high you try to rate Snapdragon and from real life usage, Exynos performs better than Snapdragon.

Snapdragon needs less RAM to perform optimally? Then why did Samsung pack the S7 edge with a whooping 4GB of RAM? Phantom 6 plus also has 4GB of RAM and you can bet its as fast as a rocket launcher, much faster than even the S7 edge.

I agree with Snapdragon being SoC, but the question I ask is what does Snapdragon do that MTK doesn't and obviously you could not provide an answer.

Don't ever say that again! The S6 edge is a typical example of that, it sometimes overheats you can't even hold the phone. Hook up the S7 edge to a VR headset and use it to watch movies or play games....then see what happens after 10 minutes of usage! Thats despite the "Liquid cooling technology" Samsung put inside it o

Good battery life yet the S6 edge plus cannot survive 4 hours of intensive usage while even after 12 hous of heavy usage and 6 hours SOT the Phantom 6 plus is still going strong.

All your arguments here have been proved wrong with the Phantom 6 plus. Yes the Snapdragon is more expensive than MTK, but MTK delivers perfectly well to all standards!!!

School them please. The phantom 6 + can compete with the more popular brands out there.

Tecno actually has taught me a lesson that you can improve a brand by bringing top-of-the-range products to improve consumer's perception of the brand. Tecno actually did that by bring out great phones. I'm a tecno user myself and I can tell you that they have strongly improved. So to stick to an old perception instead of making judgement on new facts shows a lack of growth which I suggest you work on.

You are right. People are stuck with that old perception , I think they should try out the new phones from Tecno, so they'll be better informed.

Impressive stuffs. Always a difficult choice to choose the better of the two phones. I think Tecno engineers did a great job on them too. I haven't seen a negative review since they were launched. Which is good.

The phone is simply a beast. Speed and all. That's what u get with a 4GB RAM device. And the 4050mah means more juice with speed. Nice!
