MrHowto: That aside. Do you seriously deep in your heart believe southeast is more developed than the north. Not deep in my heart but the reality. I have stayed in visual every state In SE, and I have been to some states in NW: (Sokoto, Zamfara, Kebbi and kaduna) so I am telling in My opinion it is well behind. But since my opinion may not is unlikely to achieve anything, I request we discuss on economic and social developments of both regions. Which includes MDGs, Economy... |

MrHowto: We are no longer in 2015. Check 2016 and see where SE fall. It is struggling with Northeast (Boko Haram Region). We cannot talk of 2017 because we have to wait for it to end. Really? Huhuhu so U didn't read where they stated that one out of the 5 states is out? you didn't notice how the ebonyi data is scanty? Well am not here to talk about IGR because it is not a reliable index. |
Politics › Re: Tony Blair Visits El-Rufai In Kaduna (Photos) by Scholes007(m): 1:26am On Jul 15, 2017 |
MrHowto: Hope you have seen the IGR of every region? Nice but we shouldn't make it look as if we have any stable IGR in Nigeria. If you are quick to forget, pls also look at 2015 IGRs by regions and other subsequent ones Regional Analysis breakdown.
Since Ebonyi has no 2015 figures, Her 2014 figures of IGR (11,032,472,512) are used in this calculation..
[size=11pt]South West Total = 339,953,417,927 Lagos Alone = 268,224,782,435
South South Total = 179,096,237,974
South East Total = 62,726,688,189 _______________________________________
North West Total = 48,579,503,540
North Central Total = 38,781,494,308
North East Total = 26,117,872,322 . So IGR is not a reliable criterion for measuring development in Nigeria. |

TheAngry1: Kaduna Airport has been upgraded, Ethiopian Airline now flies there thrice a week. Kano is building an economic city, Kebbi is undergoing agricultural transformation etc. The North went through Boko Haram insurgency, picked up itself and is gradually undergoing a renaissance. Some people fought a civil war over 50 years ago and they still use it as an alibi for their underdevelopment...may every ideeeot on Nairaland who only comes here to type stupid ethnoreligious bigotry receive sense today. Kudos Kadnuna! Kudos Arewa! What?! Are u saying the northern states are more developed? Or more economically viable than the place they fought war last 50 years? I just don't get U. |

Secondly, SE or SS are not recognized by the constitution, nobody will do business with an illegitimate entity I don't know why you talked down on such projects without any alternative or arguable reason for that. |

I believe this will yield favorable fruits politically, economically and socially. Let them come up with economic plans in their next meeting. They should also find a better name other than SS/SE divisive name. |

If we know the released amount then we can compare it to the extent of work done so far. That is the main thing. How much was released for the project. |

cjrane don't worry much we are on the right track, these will be sorted out with our(youths) help. I am very happy how our leaders, business men and other well to do listened to the invest home mantra. I know we may be running out of patience or even doubting some of our sucess but patience is a very important virtue especially now. I once told my uncle to look into investing in the east since he was a beginner in poultry business but he declined on the ground that there is no market. His friend who was there that day took his time and invested in ohaozara Ebonyi state. Well the man now has people he supplies poultry products in Abakaliki,Afikpo and even down to ugep. behold he is now permanently resident in Ohaozara and my uncle remained in his every year complain of bad business. All am saying is that we should explore opportunities in our door steps, onye ajuru anaghi aju onwe ya. We should also be patient as it is a virtue. Let us not talk down on our leaders but encourage them in what they are doing.

fiizznation: Dangote was very stupid to have made that silly statement. Stupid illiterate. The north that made you will eventually break you if you and your ilks don't re-frame from making some silly comments about the north and northerners. Everywhere is tense now, the northern youths are very angry. I expected dangote to have simply ignored making any comment about the kaduna declaration. The quit notice was meant to send a kind of message to some people. The north is tired of them, the northerners want them back to were ever they crawl out from.
Some truth need to be told to some people that the north don't actually like them, but we are just tolerating them because of ONE NIGERIA relax brother relax ok. Take note no one likes the north or the negative development they always bring to the table, people only tolerate them because of ONE NIGERIA. |
