Career / Masters Female Students That Are Married- How Did You Plan Childbirth? by Schonebaby: 7:09pm On Dec 27, 2013
I have searched for a post like this and found none so I've decided to create one. I will be getting married after my NYSC and starting my masters immediately since I am working towards having a career in academics (as a lecturer). I would love to know from women who are married and are doing/ have done their masters preferably those in lecturing(or their husbands) about their experiences. Did you delay childbirth till after your masters or did you delay for the first year of the masters degree because I heard it is easier to combine pregnancy with the research (2nd year) than with the first year of course work. I know I will still do my phd and I can't keep delaying childbirth for ever. Pls ill appreciate genuine advices and sharing of experiences. Thank y'all. grin

Webmasters / CHAI.....HIRED KILLER Website...oyibo Ppl Sef by Schonebaby: 9:27pm On Sep 16, 2013
I stumbled accross a website that totally stunned me. A hired killer website, they claim they've been in the business for 50 years. There were even testimonials by ppl who av succesfully used the 'hire a killer agency' (so they call themselves). Under their Frequently Asked Questions section, I copied this, u can check out d website later. Indeed the world is coming to an end shocked. FAQ. Isn't killing people against the law?
It depends. Yes, there are laws that make it illegal to kill other people, but there are always exceptions. Under certain conditions, for instance in times of war or during self-defense, it is okay to kill.

Laws aren't permanent, and they change. At one point, it was illegal to drink alcohol and illegal for women to vote. Some countries don't even have clear rules on legality of killing. Your government pays people to kill all the time. Why can't you do the same?

Isn't killing people immoral?
Hire-a-Killer does not condone violence or murder. We will not accept any requests for cruel or unusual treatment of targets. The truth is, in any relatively free society, if there's a demand for a service, a business is going to emerge to meet that demand. In America and other industrialized nations, there is a demand for contract killing and Hire-a-Killer is trying to meet that demand in a friendly and professional manner. We do not presume to dictate an inhumane set of morals, we are first and foremost a business organization that seeks to make its customers happy.
How can I be sure that I am safe if I use your services?
Hire-a-Killer understands the risk involved in taking out a contract on someone's life. That is why we make sure that our transactions are as discreet and confidential as possible. We also guarantee your innocence by providing you with a helpful packet that includes tips on how to obtain an alibi during the time and date of the hit. We suggest that you delete all e-mail correspondences with H.A.K. as soon as you read them and follow the instructions in the provided packet to guarantee your safety.

How will I know if you've done your end of the deal?
At the end of the job, you will receive a friendly completion e-mail that will alert you that the services you requested have been completed successfully.

What methods of payment do you accept?
We strongly encourage you to use cash or wire transfers via Western Union, because they are the safest, most untracable methods of transferring funds. However, we realize that many people may not have the amount of money to pay for the services of a professional killer all at once, which is why we've made the decision to accept credit cards. As of now, we accept Visa, MasterCards and Discover.

I'm an aspiring contract killer. How can I get a job with hire-a-killer.com?
Hire a killer is very selective about choosing its employees, however, as our business expands, we will be interviewing candidates to add to our expert team. Send your resume to hireakiller@gmail.com
Source: http://www.hire-a-killer.com/faq.html
Really absurd!!! D part dat got me cracking is send ur resume to hireakiller@gmail.com. Like seriously??

Literature / PLZZ Who Has Read Chimamanda Adichie's Americanah!!! by Schonebaby: 7:15pm On Jul 24, 2013
The sprawling almost 500 paged book turned out to be okay. But, I must say I was a little dissapointed. It was like there were so much issues crammed into one book and the issues (ranging from racism to hair) almost overshadowed the art of storytelling. It looked more like a collection of essays on racial prejudice and all... balanced on a sparse real story structure making it almost too serious. I will choose 'half of a yellow sun' over it anyday and time.I totally love and admire Chimamanda and this post is independent of her person. Who has also read it? whaddya think of the book.

Literature / Re: Sefi Atta by Schonebaby: 1:47pm On Jul 24, 2013
I agree with Gunnerz. Everything good will come cannot hold my attention for a second reading. Seffi Atta is no doubt a good writer. Her descriptive power is amazing especially at the beginning of the story but I had an issue with the book. It did not grip me through out the read. So, at a point in the middle, I began to loose interest. A very good book should hold your attention from the beginning to the end.no matter how long or short. I read and review novels a lot so I know a delicious book when I see one. To me , the whole book was just overhyped.#just speaking ma mind#
Chimamanda's book 'half of a yellow sun'on the other hand is brilliant. I enjoyed it through and through. However her latest book 'Americanah' left me a bit dissapointed but that is a topic for another thread.
