It's either you're being lazy or funny because it seems you don't want to take the test.

No Professor will give you a fully funded offer (zero deficit I-20) in place of a better applicant that has taken the test.

Not taking any standardized tests is you deliberately limiting yourself (especially STEM applicants). The GRE is the universal equalizer.

However, if you get your visa approved with or without it, then that's all that count.

Validity: 5years.

My Sri Lankan colleague once hinted this.

Yeah we know him, quite known in the business.

I've heard of similar cases in the past, and they somehow get resolved either by the person that registered you(your sister). its application go wrong. It happens with TOEFL cheap registration centers too.

The I-20 doesn’t state a name it was issued in.

Check for the category, and use that on your DS-160.

There is no crime in that as you're well in your time frame. If you come on July 13th the CBP officer won't frown at you. People arrive on earliest arrival date as far as you know where you're going.

Funding 101: There's no fixed time in getting a response from a Professor because they are almost always extremely busy. It is your duty to send a reminder email maybe once a week. Also, do not send email to Profs on weekends.

Some Professors could take a week, others could take about two months, while a few might not respond if you do not remind them.

Hey Tasha, I want to assume it's on a scale of 5. With other part of your application/admission documents in robust form, and with the appropriate school, landing a fully funded offer shouldn't be otherworldly.

Not all Schools are GPA-centric.

I’m just filling my visa application form but I have some few questions.

1. I submitted my bank statement and my fiancé bank statement (he is my sponsor) and I was issued my i-20
2. My mother is also sponsoring on the side and she has deposited dollars into my dollar account as a deed of gift. I didn’t use her as my primary sponsor because she didn’t have enough balance on her account.
3. I also have a good running account.

My question is who do I fill on the form as my sponsor. If I pick my fiancé is that enough ties? I heard picking your parent is better? Should I use myself? Please what’s the best advice you can give me.

You've got to be careful with your use of words. It's either you're married or not. There's no such word as Fiancé /Boyfriend at the Embassy.

There's nothing wrong in sponsoring yourself if you've got the means. However, if you can't, your best bet should be your parents or Spouse.

On whose name is your I-20 issued? That persons should be your primary sponsor. In your case, a max of 2 sponsors should be fine.

You or your friend!

There's nothing to worry about your situation as you've pointed out. Simply tell your VO the truth about your sponsor that you mentioned above. Do not give unnecessary answer to question you were not asked.

Let your explanation corroborates with what you submitted in your DS160. Ordinarily, a Foreign sponsor in UK should be a plus.

Also, ensure you go with your sponsor's Statement of Account as it could be needed.

I think you didn't read up the previous quotes. Where have you read on the US Visa site that immediately after you got denied you are also eligible to put in for regular appointment and not previously refused?

Those that went to the embassy in quick succession would have been lucky to see new dates through the previously rejected option even after been recently rejected which was quite normal during the pre-covid era.

The moment you twist things up in this stage, the VO is obliged to reject you for this reason on your interview day.

Take the risk and pick a regular appointment with the intention that you'd get a date in late June or early July. That way, you'd quite be close to 6months after your last denial.

Be very attentive as questions might be worded differently by the VO but still convey same meaning as those above.

There's a structure to answer all these. Answers to these questions should contain some key ingredients that will score you high during the interview. Unfortunately, I can't drop them now. However, if you read loads of approved transcripts, you should get the Idea.

Please my I-20 was mailed to me yesterday and after going through it.I found out that the SEVIS ID on it is different from the one I used to pay my SEVIS fee last year June.Its still the Same University in the US anyways.Please will this pose a problem at the Consulate when I appear for my interview?

You will have to transfer and activate your new SEVIS ID to your SEVIS fee payment portal assuming it has not expired. It is free of charge, so go to the www.fmjfee.com page to this. It should take about a day to get it transferred. That way, you can use your new SEVIS ID to do the DS160 and book a date.

To those that were previously denied F1 visa, it is not uncommon for the VO to ask you what has changed in your second interview application... Its almost always the first question.

VO: You've been here before, what has changed?

You: Talk about the new school you intend to attend, standardized tests taken, the new course and Program, fellowship/funding/scholarship achieved, new Job acquired, and how well you've done research and well motivated for grad studies....

Overall, cases are particularly peculiar, so find yours and carve your niche.

Guys, if you've got an ND and BSc, you can certainly apply with both certifications without the need for WES evaluation. On no account should you even evaluate your documents except it is required by your school. Most schools do not require the GPA conversion in the US. However, if you must, then evaluate only the BSc without the ND, but apply with both...

Remember, the ND is already on a 4.0 scale, so, you've got no reason to evaluate it as it is not the critical requirement for further studies in this case other than it shows the grad school your academic strength, investment and how passionate you've been towards education....

You're only required to complete the WES evaluation if you're combining the ND with HND, where you'd do the necessary conversation for both independently, in some cases, unofficially.

I applied as a DE student (ND,BS.c), I got admits with and without funding but all without any form of WES completion. Actually, I did an unofficial WES (free of charge) for my BSc, in my current school.

Please don’t share misinformation. You can use a different statement of account for i20 and for visa interview. Unless your school is one of those that writes your sponsor’s name on your i20. I used 2 different statements.
