RomanceRe: Masturbation Is Ruining You, If I Could Stop It, You Can by Schrodinger2(m): 8:41pm On Nov 23, 2023
Mcslize:
Elobobo you said nothing but the truth. Some persons always console themselves that masturbation is not bad just so they can keep on that demons & evil spirits filled habit. I am happy for you. What a relief!

Many men & women in today's world masturbate. Many ain't making any plan to stop it. They are caged.

Once you stop it, it will leave you. But is not going to be easy that initial time. You will fail many times by going back to it. It's not easy brother.

Many brothers in the lord do this thing. And they use it to console themselves that it's not fornication so no wrong in doing it.

They don't know it's worse than the real fornication.

Thank God you stopped.
You were making sense until the bolded. To fornicate is a graver sin. You better stop both.
FamilyRe: This Stupid Mentality In Ceremonies. by Schrodinger2(m): 3:25pm On Nov 20, 2023
MSN1:
I have been having this big question about how we behave in ceremonies, MOSTLY Nigerians.

Personally, i think the idea of throwing money and announcing donation amounts in ceremonies is a very awkward practice. The funniest thing is; they have taken it to d church.
The harvest i attended last Sunday, they turned it to money competition, just imagine in the house of God. I just picked myself and moved out.

The fact is; Giving / Gifts ought to be between the giver and receiver, thats all.

I don't spray money or announce any donations i make. Whatever i have, i drop quietly and move, if i don't have anything,i show face 4 ur ceremony and move, I LIVE TO MPRESS ONLY GOD.

I am currently in a function and the thing is just pissing me off.
One bad thing i noticed is; The higher your money, the higher the claps and cheers, very bad indeed.
Clapping heavily for som1 that worth more than 5million, donating 100k and less for the one that has ONLY 20k home and Abroad while donating 5k, is FOOLISHNESS TO ME.

One thing i like about my landlord is; his simplicity and low key giving, Nigga amazes me everytime. The gentle man has more than 50 people he pays school fees for, he donates and contribute heavily in d community his charity work is extremely amazing but u wud NEVER know. That is how it ought to be.
A gift that is sounded and announced is no longer a gift to me.

Pls for those of u that have travelled abroad, is this bad behaviour also rampant there?
Morally depraved and low-self esteemed Nigerians generally like showing off even if they don't have anything, and that attitude irritates me.

It is the same reason you'll want to use an iPhone albeit you can't afford it.

Here in the US, nobody gives a damn about impressing others by spraying or publicly bragging about money, not even the celebrities.

But when Nigerians come here, they bring that crazy attitude and start spraying money at events.

They have been seeding the cloud for years now, your professor should be aware of this by now. It is very possible
Sure, It goes beyond cloud seeding, and research is never an assignment or homework but a discovery.

We are more interested in the storm microphysics, it's evolution and formation as well as the rimming processes and tempeture in the freezing layer. These differs from region to region.

We want to better understand severe weathers for the purpose of nowcasting and not just forecasting with strong probabilities.
TravelRe: Massive Rainfall And Storm Hits Dubai UAE (pics/video) by Schrodinger2(m): 2:51pm On Nov 20, 2023
Data from radar and satellites observations of severe convective storms and flash floods of this nature is critical source for research.

My professor by now would be reaching out to his connection in that region for the raw data as UAE/Dubia is not known for this type of extreme weather event.

Although ednut1 is doing well financially, let's wait for him to give a general response objectively.

To Nigerians asking for money from abroad, do not be completely certain you'd get what you asked for, albeit I recently gave a friend after he said his mum was sick.

Family back home is the priority if we're to send anything to Nigeria.
TravelRe: The 20 Countries With The Coldest temperatures by Schrodinger2(m):
Some places like Arizona, and Texas are even hotter than Nigeria during summer. However, the list looks largely correct.
Experienced -37°C last December, the coldest I've been in, and it came from a winter storm called Siberian-effect from Russia/North pole to my state.
Foreign AffairsRe: UK Prime Minister Sacks Minister, Paul Bristow Who Called For Gaza Ceasefire by Schrodinger2(m):
Actually, it's nothing new in the US.

Hypocrisy of this western world - US, UK, EU and others, is why I'd always stand by Putin, China and the East.

Here in the US, many people that are not even Arabs or related to Palestinians have lost their Jobs either in media, entertainment, academics, and other public or private sectors for standing with Gazans/Palestinians.

Humanitarian agencies of the UN and UN itself can't do nothing because they're controlled by the West.

Last week, Washington DC was mad at Aljazeera for broadcasting what other western media couldn't air and had to call the Qatari government to warn them.

TravelRe: What I Noticed About Friends Abroad by Schrodinger2(m):
Laughing from the West Coast grin.

Let me start by saying some of you guys in Nigeria only want to Japa without any strategy or plans of your own, and majorly because you've seen a friend or neighbor traveled out. Nobody can discourage you if you dedicated to the hustle.

Before I left for my MS/PhD program in the US, I self-motivated myself in the process for 3years, learning the ropes painstakingly even after rejections at the embassy.

I've tried to mentor and inspire guys to follow my method religiously after I arrived here, but lots of you guys are somewhat lazy, even before the first attempt. They think it was a one time/Chance thing.

If you're an ordinary Nigerian, you've got to leave your comfort zone and make sacrifices to Japa, for academic, business or career purposes.

Now, the moment you're being unserious, I don't waste my time.

Posting this here, instead of in Ads as I think it may attract the wrong people. I am based here in New York. My husband used to post here in Nairaland regularly, as Imperiouxx or Imperiouxxx. He came to US from Nigeria on Student visa, and then we got married and he is now here through green card.

Here is our situation: We have a child (4 yrs), and we are going to have another child by December. We have been looking for a child care provider but have not been successful. If anyone knows anyone who is based in NY, NY and is looking for some extra work. We have been looking everywhere locally, if you know someone here please let us know.
Oh! Madam, regards to Imperioux the mentor and motivator that year I started the F1 hustle. Based in Colorado, and can't really link you up with a connection. Hopefully you find a helper.

I usually make Nigerian jollof rice, sometimes, I use spaghetti instead of par boiled rice.

I've stayed without any form of swallow and soup for 360 days. A lady knew and prepared Amala with egusi before I set a new record of Year.

Greetings to the gurus here for the great work you are doing.

For someone with 3.23 GPA in BSc, 4.90 in PGD and 4.69 in MSc, with 2 scopus publication and 1 already accepted, and one Thomson Reuters also accepted (all first author); with about 2 years lecturing experience, what are the chances like for a PhD considering the low BSc GPA huh

I noticed most US schools emphasize more on BSc GPA
Even with the Bsc, your profile looks great, especially with the publications. You shouldn't have issues bagging fully funded PhD offers either as a TA/RA.

Please, what do you all think about Virginia. No one has said anything about it here. I am considering moving there to further my studies (nursing). I am currently in Texas.
I won't mind connecting with anyone that's living there or very familiar with the state.

Thanks!
Not to discourage you, but my guy studied around Norfolk, Virginia, and didn't say anything positive about that place. Gun violence is somewhat widespread from what he mentioned.

You're better off in the Midwest: New Mexico, Wyoming, Nebraska, Colorado and its surroundings

Unfortunately, the mods, Justwise and DisGuy have refused to push it to front page filled with mediocrity.

Another reason we could be disinterested in sharing our experiences here from the US.
