Ordinarily, whatever happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. I visited Vegas, the entertainment capital of the world for a few days to wrap up 2023. Here are beautiful pictures from the Strip and downtown Vegas.

Tip 1: Never go to Vegas alone. it's better with your spouse, or companion especially if you share the same values. Although I went alone, It made more sense.

Tip 2: Be proactive and make all bookings/reservations way ahead of time as it's cheaper.

Tip 3: Be self-disciplined as there are many temptations and avenues to become morally depraved in the sin city. Except you care less.

Tip 4: Draft your budget before embarking on a vacation to Vegas.

Tip 5: Although the city does not sleep, downtown Fremont Street could be dangerous sometimes.

Tip 6: To maximize your time, rent a ride for the duration of your stay.

These hints are quite generic to your stay in the city and not tailored to any specific activities.

I'm curious why (Japa) living and working in another country is seen as a big accomplishment in many black countries, especially Nigeria. What more do they have there besides good healthcare, infrastructure, and institutions? Does it suggest that black people living in Africa face poverty, lack of basic needs, poor health, and inadequate housing?

What was the average life of black people like before they had contact with the West, colonialism, and displacement by Europeans?

Firstly, you have to define what an achievement is to you before you ask this somewhat rhetorical question. Similarly, the lack of all you mentioned, is also nothing to be proud of in Nigeria.

The environment and system in the West gives you the avenue to make meaningful accomplishments and achieve legitimately far more than you could have if you stayed back. Wouldn't you want to grab that opportunity? That's what Japa is meant for. However, when you guys can't Japa, you begin to console yourselves with ridiculous threads like this.

Quality education, careers, and food abundance with ripple effects of other forms of success can not be said to be anything less than an achievement which is lacked by many in that country.

They have realized that it is naturally arduous to Japa especially with the current economic circumstances.

However, they're many scholarships people could grab to ease this hustle only if they are willing to go that route.

Firstly, not everyone from a family will travel out. There's always gonna be some family relatives left to check on them. Aging parents could also be looked after by care givers and maids as no parent would preclude their children from traveling based on primordial sentiments.

I'm not sure I understand you, are you in the US? The more the experience the better, but check previous pages (1-10) to learn more about the procedure and see if you qualify.

Although 90% of contributions and applicants are based in Nigeria which was not originally intended, it has kept the discourse moving.
