Who are the people feeding you guys with lies. Aregbesola was the DG of Tinubu's campaign in 1999. A nobody with nothing to offer wouldn't have attained that huge position. I believe you have been fed with this fake news in your WhatsApp group. Okoroawusa: Can I personally ask you a question?
Who is Aregbesola in Nigerian politics without Tinubu? Aregbesola was a fridge technician right here in Alimosho but was active politically. Many people thought he was a Lagosian because he was a prominent figure in Alimosho. Tinubu took him under his wings and made him a commissioner. When Tinubu wanted to expand politically across the South West he bankrolled Aregbesola. Mark my words... Tinubu bankrolled Aregbesola to become Osun governor. That was when many of us knew he was from Osun even. A few years down the line he made you a federal minister and this is how you repay him? If that is not witchcraft I don't know what to call it. Is Aregbesola's ambition bigger than that of Osinbajo, Fashola, Fayemi and co? |

Make sure you have all the required documents ready before reapplying. Personal account for business is allowed, but having a business account would be perfect. Just make sure everything is in order before reapplying. I believe you didn't go through the guy refusal letter. None of what you stated was mentioned in the letter. He was simply refused because of a costly error by the ECO. You may want to go through the guy refusal letter once again. giselle237: It appears to me that your primary motivation was to obtain a UK visa, especially since you have recently secured visas for the US, Canada. Emphasis on the recently because these ECOs act one way. If you haven’t used these other visas, and now you are applying for the UK visa in hopes that your recent visa history will overshadow your previous UK refusal— then I see what was on the ECOs mind.
We have to differentiate between “visa history” and “immigration history.” Without travelling on a visa, you’ll lack an immigration history, which is a key factor that ECOs consider in this 2025. They look for evidence of travel and experience within 1st world countries first, essentially that you travelled, saw the level of good standard of living in these countries but still denied the urge and you return to your home country without overstaying your visa. When you do this, then you have shown a good imm history and can be very trusted.
Very importantly you only just returned from the US last month as a first-time traveler, visa was obtained very recently, the urgency of another trip to the UK for a conference seems suspicious to the ECO. How many similar conferences have you attended overseas? They may think— what kind of employee is securing all these travels within short time span and with a recent UK refusal already on your profile it flagged eyebrows with them when you reapplied. Has this employee taken time to work since they just returned from a trip and now they are going again? Hmm? How come? With the above reasons- the ECO made a hasty decision without thoroughly reviewing your documents. All his or her eyes were seeing— deny, deny then deny.
If attending the conference is essential, I suggest you reapply & point out to them this erroneous mistake. Make sure to complain on how unfair it is to pay such ‘expensive’ fees and not receive appropriate service. Your documents were not looked at etc.. write your points very convincingly and confidently. If not, it may be wise to wait out the complaint process which you have already started. Whatever process you follow in the end you would be entitled to the visa based on this technicality. |
Travel › Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by sdee2k3: 10:55pm On Jun 09, 2025 |
I will advise you to reapply while submitting all the same documents used in the initial application. In addition to that endeavour to address the reason for the refusal comprehensively. Make sure you highlight all the points and bring to the attention of the visa officer the mistake the previous officer made. giselle237: Not a paid email Send to the complaints email. Draft your letter properly and send it |

Everything looks good. It will turn out positive InshaAllah. However, did you include a "COVER LETTER" which should contain explanations on how you have addressed all the refusal reasons. Jojo1252: Hello Good morning everyone.
I'm Joseph, and I applied for an Ireland Long Stay D- Employment Visa on the 10th of March, 14th of March it got to the Embassy of Ireland Abuja from VFS global office in Lagos. On the 16th of April, my application was refused.

Visa Section Abuja"
Now, I have appealed the decision, note: the reason one and two is entirely from my employers side and my employer in Ireland has issued relevant documentation; (1). Updating the Contract of Employment that I won't be traveling around Europe in the course of my employment but will only work at one location. With other Letter they addressed to the Embassy of Ireland I attached to this. (2). As regards to Garda Vetting; this is wrongly refused because, I can only be vetted once I'm in the country not here in Nigeria. Now, My employer has initiated the process and quoted the Constitution and Section whatever whatever to them which states otherwise. But, My employer requested I get a Nigerian Police Clearance which i Have gotten and attached to my appeal. (3). Finances now; As of 21 April 2025. I sold a land my father gave ,e as an inheritance, 4,500,000 and its reflected in the new bank statements I attached to the appeal. Well; I submitted these to support my finances this time: 1. An up-to-date bank statement (October 2024 to April 2025) 2. Financial Explanation of Lump Sum Lodgements 3. Deed of Gift 4. Land sales receipt 5. Letter of Declaration from Father 6. Father’s National Identification Document 7. Father’s Retirement Letter 8. Letter of Declaration and Support from Senior Brother- This is because there are certain transfer from him 9. Copy of Brother’s Identity Document 10. Copies of Chats with transaction receipts from Senior Brother 11. POS Transaction receipt showing recent ₦51,800 purchase for senior brother 12. Christ the King International Old Student Association Contribution List and Constitution. 13. Transaction Receipts from previous coursemate and close friend. 14. Summarized Travel and Budget Plan 15. Email Proof of cost of Shared Accommodation to support previously submitted Letter on Proof of Accommodation in the initial application.
My Job start date is 6th of May 2025 as stated in my Work Permit from DETE I attached the above with all other new documents and sent to the Embassy through GIG Logistics.
What could be the expected time frame for my positive decision. My landlord has been waiting for me, hahahaha! |

Republic of Ireland (or simply Ireland 🇮🇪) is in the EU and her currency is Euro. You need a visa when travelling to Ireland 🇮🇪 from the UK and vice versa. I hope that is clear enough. |
