POWA,being the owners of the building complex, had earlier duly issued quit notices to their tennants and communicated clearly that they intended to renovate and remodel the building owing to its derelict state.

The tenants, under a trade union association , took the landlord to court seeking not to be evicted despite the owners having plans for their own building.

The court ruled in favour of the landlords (POWA) who will later give the tenants up till December 31st to evict the building -this was about 2 weeks ago.

In a trending video made by one of the affected tenants who spoke in Ibo, he was captured saying that the state government demolished a federal building.

These people and their lies.

Never ever take anything that comes out of their mouths as facts.


They knew the dispute was between them and their landlord but they still wanted to make it an ethnic issue.

I have had several runnings with them and I know how they can easily slander and make false accusations and allegations against someone.

Everybody is against them. I've worked withamy of them, even when they are in positions higher than others, they still feel threatened by their subordinates.

The building belongs to POWA and from what I heard the court ruled in favour of POWA. People should stop peddling fake news.

Even at that, you must give the tenant the adequate notice by law before reconstructing.

If you read the article you will see that the landlord gave notice, but the tenants went to court to obtain court order..

Why the pleasure in demolition of buildings and business places in the name of whatever you call it? This is really getting out of hand. When his predecessors were there, this buildings were they not there? What has he seen in this course that they never saw then.
In almost all parts of Lagos State, it's sorrows and tears, courtesy Sanwo-Olu, his government agencies and demolition of buildings. Someone should please call this governor to order. It's becoming one too many.

It is the owners of the building that are demolishing that structure. POWA is just using LASG for enforcement of the eviction order.

By tendancy laws, there are procedures to take before ejection a tenant or in fact the landlord cannot even enter into the said property without tenants consent depending on the tenancy agreement.

When the tenant feels the landlord is trying to breach any position of the tenancy law of Lagos state or the tenancy agreement, it is the tenants ' right to approach the court and if he makes out a case the court will surely grant that order till the landlord does the right thing.

In this case the landlord said his house is not conducive and he wants to reconstruct.

I can't verify this news but info has it that this man Hon. Justice Haruna Simon Tsammani; [b][/b] who headed the presidential election tribunal was offered 10 million dollars to any offsore account of his choice and promotion to supreme court before he retires. Condition is that he rules in favour of Tinubu.

Failure to do that, he will be thoroughly investigated and disgraced out of the system. He had a lot of skeleton already and so had no option than play the script given to him.

Seeing this news that he has been nominated to the supreme court makes me want to believe what i heard way back in July

The Lagos state government has said it many times that if you have government approval and your house was demolish go to court.
