waziri4biz: Lies. Two of my Uncle's and 3 of my Aunt's are retired civil servants in Edo. I have first hand information about Pensioners in Edo. Obaseki has not been paying them for over 6 Years now. Since you claimed Obaseki has been paying pensioners, why are they protesting in Ring Road every week?

Nairaland / General / Expert Advice: How To Negotiate Prices With Your Roofing Contractor by premiereexterio: 8:17am On May 27 |
Have you ever looked at a roofing quote and gulped at the price? You're not alone! Many homeowners feel the pinch when it's time to repair or replace their roofs. But here's a little secret: What is the price of that quote? It's not always set in stone. Negotiating with your Roofing Contractor in Burnsville MN can lead to significant savings. So, grab a seat, and let's dive into how to talk down that daunting number without breaking a sweat. Know the Market: Research Before You Speak Before you call contractors, do your homework. What's the going rate for roofing services in your area? Understand the materials cost, labor charges, and what your neighbors paid for similar services. This information will give you the power to recognize a fair offer when you see one. And hey, knowing solid data back you might give you the confidence to push for a better deal. Get Multiple Quotes: Knowledge is Power Don't settle on the first contractor who comes your way. Aim to get at least three quotes from different roofing companies. This variety gives you a clear idea of what your roofing project should cost and provides negotiating leverage. You can play these quotes against each other. Tell your preferred contractor, "I love your work, but so-and-so offered a better price. Can you match it?" Often, they'll be willing to make adjustments to secure your business. Timing is Everything: Leverage Slower Seasons Roofers get busy, especially right after stormy weather and during warmer months. Planning your roofing job with a Siding Contractor in Burnsville MN, during their slower periods—like late fall or early winter—can be a golden ticket to better prices. Why? Simple: Less demand can mean more flexibility in prices. A polite question like, "Do you offer off-season rates?" can open the door to unexpected savings. Be Clear and Upfront: Honesty Wins When you start your negotiation, be clear about what you can spend and what you're looking for. Honesty creates a transparent atmosphere and can make the contractor more willing to work within your budget. Also, showing that you respect their work but need some wiggle room on the pricing can foster goodwill. Finding a middle ground is more accessible when both parties know what the other needs. Discuss Payment Options: Flexibility Can Pay Off Sometimes, the way you pay can influence the price. Offering to pay a significant portion upfront might lower the overall cost. Alternatively, asking about financing options can spread out the expense so it's not as heavy all at once. Don't hesitate to ask, "Is there a discount if I pay half upfront?" or "What kind of payment plan options do you offer?" Emphasize Long-Term Relationships: A Strategic Approach When chatting with your roofing contractor, mention your interest in a long-term relationship for future maintenance and projects. A roofing contractor in Burnsville MN, values repeat business and is often willing to offer discounts to ensure ongoing engagements. You could say, "I'm looking for someone I can rely on for this job and any roofing needs down the road. This approach helps you get a discount and ensures a trusted contractor is on call for future needs. Explore Package Deals: Bundle and Save Ask your contractor if there are any bundle deals available. Sometimes, if you plan to have multiple tasks done simultaneously, such as gutter replacement and roofing, the contractor might offer a package deal at a reduced rate. This can be framed as, "What kind of package deals do you offer if I decide to go ahead with the roofing and gutter work together?" This maximizes the value you get and reduces the logistical hassle for the contractor, making it a win-win situation. Use Testimonials as Leverage: The Power of Reputation If you find positive reviews praising good value, mention these during your discussions as a reason you chose to talk to them. I'm hoping we can work something out within my budget." This shows that you are informed and value their reputation, which might make them more willing to offer you a favorable price to maintain that good standing. Clarify Scope and Flexibility: Find Savings in the Details There may be ways to save money by digging into the details of the work. For example, suggest using a different material or skipping certain non-essential features. Pose the question, "Is there any flexibility in the materials used or the project scope that could bring the cost down?" Searching "asphalt roofing service near me" shows your awareness of the project's details and encourages the contractor to consider alternative, cost-effective solutions. Offer to Refer Others: Mutual Benefits If you're part of a community group or know others who might need similar services, offer to refer them to the contractor. This can be a strong incentive for a discount. You might say, "I'm impressed with your professionalism. I know a few neighbors who need roof work done. This opens up potential new business for the contractor and can help you secure a more favorable deal. Conclusion When dealing with a major purchase like your home's roof, the prospect of negotiation may initially seem overwhelming. However, with Premiere Exteriors, LLC, you can confidently navigate this process and create a deal that leaves you and your contractor happy. Remember, a good contractor will want to keep you as a customer for future projects, too, so finding that sweet spot in pricing benefits both sides.

Phones / Re: Ever Tracked A Stolen Phone Before? Share Your Experience by Kelvin30286063(m): 8:17am On May 27 |
2020, I bought the new Samsung S20 Ultra, the phone was so good that I was almost worshipping it. Display was amazing, smooth and everything. I didn't know there's more to that phone until I lost it. I went to one of the drug stores at shoprite and forgot it there. That was my mistake but the store attendant should have demanded a compensation and give me my phone which I would have gladly paid and even thank him. Instead he turned it off and tried to play me. But the thing with Samsung is, you can easily track it even when it's off. Especially if you take the time to set up your Find My Device settings. I decided to leave the guy alone but I couldn't afford to drag the matter for too long cos at the end of that month (March 29), Buhari decided to start lock down. Luckily they only locked down major cities so Ondo state was not included yet so I used my wife's phone to track mine (we use the same type of phones) Lo and behold, I found my phone, called a few thugs in my street (Thank God I have been giving them money whenever I drive by so it was easy to ask for their assistance) We went to the guy's house with the help of the tracking map and we met him at home, he started denying and claiming I'm intimidating him even after telling me he didn't see my phone. I told him we want to search his house, he said no, he started calling his neighbors and a few people gathered. Then under the tracking location, I saw "Ring" It came to me that I can make the phone ring where ever it is. I didn't know it will work especially since I believe the phone is turned off but I pressed it anyway and just like that, I started hearing samsung default ring tone loud and clear in the room. He was trying to talk over it so we won't hear the sound but ofcourse it didn't work. After we found the phone inside one of his bags, the boys that came with me gave him a few dirty slaps and some punches. I told them to leave him alone and we left. I gave the 3 of them 15k and that was the end of it. I later went to shoprite to report to the management and they invited him, when he saw me, he started begging but that didn't save him. I think he was fired cos I haven't seen him at the drug store, yes I still go to the drug store 😂 3 Likes |
