Transmission fee is paid per individual

You get your visa arrive Canada and get your study permit at the airport

When you get your study permit you can use to apply for spousal open work permit although some people apply without it

Sure you can't send only your passport, you will add the PPR request letter, your biometric slip, transmission fee receipt and logistics receipt except you are going to pick up your self.
But since you did not submit it wait for the office to call you or resend all you did not send with an explanation typed explaining that they were documents you did not send initially

Relocating to Canada, U.S.A or United Kingdom through study is one of the best route to moving with one's family and eventually securing a Permanent Residence. Getting admission to Canada, US or UK for study is a great achievement, however, that's just the first hurdle, before you can pack your bags and move to Canada, US or UK for your study, you must get a visa.

Therefore, let's take a look at how an applicant can avoid getting a rejection on his/her study visa application. If you’re about applying for a Canadian study visa, kindly take very careful note of some common factors to watch out for when making your study visa application.

Although, most International students are eligible to apply to come to study in Canada with family members (spouses & children). These are few things to note to do this successfully. Let it be known that when you applied for admission, you did that for yourself alone, but when applying for visa, you can include your family (spouse and children) for your study visa

On that note, your visa application shall then determined by three things
* Purpose of study
* Proof of funds
* Home ties

These three things are the expectations for single applicants as well, but if applying as a family, you have a stronger justification to make. You will need to show additional funds to cater for the family, justify the importance of having family members with you, and have other ties to your country.

NB: If you are a student going to a school/program that is not eligible for a post-graduation work permit (PGWP), your spouse is not eligible for the spousal open work permit (SOWP).

This is one of the important reasons to ensure the program you apply for is eligible for PGWP. The study plan helps you to justify the purpose of your study & the importance of having your family with you so that your spouse can work and support the family while you're are studying.

Other reasons could be anything from the fact that your children are young, or your family has never been apart before. Family unification is important to Canada, so you can leverage on that.

Proof of funds (POF)

If you intend to apply with your family, you will have to pay extra application fees & also show more POF than a single applicant. Let’s say you wish to study for a Masters in Marketing for 2 years, and your tuition is $12,000 per year, you are expected to have the sum of $10,000 living expenses (1year) and $12,000 tuition for one year, a total of CAD$22,000. So if you have a family and you will be applying for them as well, you need to have an extra CAD$4000 for each of them for their living expenses per year.

If you are applying alone (at first), then you or your spouse needs to show enough funds for the living expenses on your family (no definite amount for this but should be sizeable depending on your family size).

Home ties

Proof of home ties, this is very crucial and an important aspect of the Canadian study visa application owing to the fact that many applicants have been denied based on insufficient proof of home ties, that simply means having sufficient fund is not enough to guarantee your visa approval. As an international student, you are a temporary resident & need to show that you have reasons to leave Canada after your study (if required to do so).

IRCC wants to see evidence of your home ties. Many applicants find it easier to use their family members as part of their home ties. But in the case you're applying with your family, it means you must be ready to show other ties.

It could be your business, investments, employment, financial assets and most importantly landed properties (which are mostly preferred cos they hardly depreciate in value but appreciate more over time).

Therefore, you must know what the visa officers want to see and craft your application to satisfy them. Submitting a valuation report of your landed assets (land & building) along with other required documents for visa application could actually boost your chance of visa approval.

Either for visit, study, medical or other temporary or permanent residency visa applications, it is strongly advisable for applicants to provide a valuation report of their property(ties) in order to assist and convince visa officer about their economic/financial status in their home country and also as proof of strong home tie to pull the applicant to return on expiration of period granted.

Property Valuation report could make a visa officer develop good mental picture of who the applicant is, it just like what CV is to a job recruiter. An employer can develop an idea who a job seeker is through the CV to decide if the job seeker should be considered or not. She can't work with an F2 Visa in Canada. She'll be indoor while her husband will go work. It might not be a case of laziness. And is the husband treating her good is also another question one should ask

Bro, I don't think so, I have a friend who is Canada since May 2022 and he is for September 2022 intake. The only issue is that the immigration officer might ask why you're coming early. Also, they might want to ask a few questions, but most times they don't ask. I plan to enter early too.

One thing we need to know is this, Canadian govt needs our money - my guy said he heard that they call international students cashing cows

I have also asked some experienced travel agents such as wakadoctor and co, and they said you can enter anytime you want so far you have your visa. Visa is key and also your money (that's one reason the immigration officer will be particular about)

my advice for anyone who has their visa ahead of resumption is to try and pay for another semester now. But note that, you can't work without your school enrolment letter.

Congratulations to you and your wife for the Canadian school admission however this my candid reservation, you should have explore other options of relocating to Canada before arriving to school admission, other options such Express entry, Skilled work express entry are also a good chance that would enable you and your wife and kid to relocate together the same time, I wanted to fall into such trap but due stories of women betraying their husbands immediately they find themselves overseas honestly I just can't bear the outcome God forbid it happens to me, but i had to do my research and home work properly every 2 weeks Canada release the list of individuals considered for express entry that would have helped you both to plan and relocate without this uncessary worries, let's hope your wife will be been given SOWP(spousal Open work permit) in few months says 2-3 months if not she could wait for at least six months due to other applicants spouses filing for the same permit just as you and as we speak alot of Nigerians want to Japa seriously and you what that means.

When she finally settles in Canada after one month tell her to go the nearest Canadian border any of the Canadian border and do what we call flagpooling, she doesn't have be scared at all flagpooling is a process of filing for a permit either on temporary basis or permanent basis she can file for you since you both are married and there's documented evidence to show she's married to you with prove to Canadian immigratios but the best part of flagpooling is that it's alot faster compared to when she files for you on online, when she's get to the boarder she should go to the Canadian border with all her school docuemnts, marriage certifate and your passport information and a certain amount of money let's $200 to 300 Canadian dollar will be charge for processing but be assured filing for you will be the same day, some Nigerians flagpool and today the rest is history, If you doubts what have said log on to you tube and check out flagpooling at a Canadian border. 1. What category do I select when booking medicals, is it for visitor?

2. What are the documents I need to submit, I believe I do not need to write an invitation letter since I am still in Nigeria. Am I supposed to write an LOE and what would be the content?

3. He has a visitors visa application on the new portal, should I cancel it?

4. Do I use my GCkey to apply for him or open a new one for him?
