Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by olokings(m): 3:11pm On Sep 29, 2022
as a follow up to putting it out there, i will give an expose' to what my profile looked like and how i packaged my application. Long Post alert.

highlights of SOP and tactics for family visa application

start with a good self-introduction: - i prepared a very detailed SOP. this was intentional because i was putting up a family application of myself and 5 accompanying family members, hence what may be usually overlooked at for single applicants / those leaving their family members behind may not necessarily apply to me given i will be subjected to even more scrutiny.
I drafted my SOP with a clear table of contents, i wrote it with a title, sub-titles, and bolden+italics for points i needed to highlight of importance. i started my SOP with an introduction to myself as though a typical job interview [name, DOB, educational background, professional certification, career highlights, etc.] framework (it is an interview in a sense isn't it?) stating what my intent (to apply for a TRV [Study permit], and my dependents' [spousal Open work permit + Study permit for kids]. I clearly mentioned the school, program, start & end dates with duration in months. (highlighted the attachment of LOA, Tuition Payment [in my case i deliberately paid full tuition because i needed to demonstrate financial stability since someone who is going with accompanying member should have that logically] with tuition payment acknowledgement from my school

To address the following: Why study in Canada? why not study in Nigeria? What are your educational goals? what will be the impact & value of the program you are going for study in your business / employment / future endeavours when you return to Nigeria? what are you job experience / skills gaps / career experience that warrants or establish the need for the study?
why the specific university / college chosen? - viewed from the lense of facilities, community, infrastructure, etc.
: I further went to add a sub-title where i detailed my employment / carrer profile, an opportunity which i leveraged to deliberately tie the proposed post graduate study to my career progress, highlighting the benefits, value proposition, how acquisition of this additional educational credential will place me above my peer in the office, position me for executive, leadership, and management positions, foster my private professional practice to set up consult after my career (see how i am demonstrating what i will do when i return), how credential & skills documentation a very big differentiator in my office. I specifically highlighted that i have embarked on a post secondary study during the course of my professional career (reemphasizing the value proposition) and how my employer acknowledged the additional qualification (attached the letter) and i was able to participate for further promotion few years later (attached a doc. to this effect). I intentionally mentioned my under grad project and how it positioned me to excel at this current study (further arguing why the study).

Then i moved on to sub-title, "Reason for the Study and Choice of *** school Canada". I started with stating how the program aligns with my professional aspirations, skills i will gain, and the credential will demonstrate experience i have gained in the field for the period i have worked. I stated how the program in the specific school is specially designed for reasons given in the school website, how it resonates with my personal goals. I mentioned that i have sought an unpaid study leave from my employer which was granted (doc attached), how the school is well known for excellence in that course, the community is accommodating and encourage easy transition for international students, learning is experiential, not subject to reccurent strikes and industrial action, cultism et al (see what i did there, why canada & not nigeria), how i prefer to use the opportunity to experience the canadian culture, landscape and serenity which i have researched on the net, as it is a great place for families (see what i did there again?, tactically introducing why travelling with family), mentioned passively that i looked at Europe and west africa, however, based on personal reason (some of which i had mentioned) i prefer to pursue the study in *** school, in *** province, in canada. I also mentioned how the changes ongoing in the industry here in Nigeria warrants talents to upskills and develop further in other to be resilient et al... grammar grammar grammer but you get the gist.
i went on to detail the duration, course highlights and how i look forward to excelling with accelerated learning during the study to ensure that i finish with good grades, and on time in order for me and my family to return on **** date back and resume my employment and private freelance practice at home in Nigeria (see what i did there again?)

Now onto the biggest issue, to address What are your home ties? why are you travelling with the family for the study period?- viewed from the lense of Family, Economy, Financial, career prospects, etc. - i sub-titled "Reason for travel with family for study at *** school, province, *** canada: i introduced my spouse, how long we were partners (doc attached), how we are very close and depend on one another for everything (see what i did here, setting the floor why i cannot be without her), highlighted various endeavours we have embarked on together as partners, both academically, professionally, and socially. gave some reasons here and there what we have done to ensure a stable and single unit family, mentioned / introduced our kids all 4 of them, mentioned our property (just one) which we developed together (added property valuation report), and how we love our home. highlighted that we are fully commited to co-parenting, maintaining a single functional family unity for the development of the kids psychologically, emotionally, mentally, academically, etc. because young ones are super impressionable hence we cannot leave them with anyone other than ourselves to raise (see what i did there again, we must do it together & can give them to any one else, appealing to the human nature of the VO tactically). talked about the personal aspiration of my partner. specifically mentioned that i need my family to be physically present with me during the study for emotional support, will provide my partner the opportunity to further pursue her personal goals of self achievement since she will be working whether paid / unpaid to practice skills in a flexible schedule, and i will be happy enough to perform exceptional well academmically (see the idea there now?). i mentioned that i have research *** province, and looked up schools there which fit my kids' educational needs, afterwhich i contacted one and notified them of my intent (attached communique docs, kids passed term results, etc.) and they are ready to accept my kids as soon as we land.

Now, because, my third child (only) was birthed in the US, i mentioned that on *** date, i embarked on family vacation where we had our child (introduced him) in the states, and as a family tradition of witnessing all my kid's birthing, i was present with the siblings. however i highlighted that we ensured that the birthing process was self-pay and in order to ensure that we are not financially indebted to the US govt. we acquired all zero balance receipts for all aspects of the medical procedures (attached everything!!!) after which we returned to Nigeria as soon as the child was cleared for international travel (see what i did there to demonstrate authenticity of return). I further stated that, since i am the primary provider for the family, it will be counterproductive to leave them behind and be sending funds when i am a student with limited working hours myself, hence my resolve to travel with them. I also mentioned that during our stay, the whole family shall be covered by comprehensive insurance to the tune of $****** (attached each persons insure cert), hence we shall not be a burden to the canadian or provincial govt. during the **** months before we return back to nigeria (by now you are seeing the tactics).

in a sub "head proof of home ties" note the flags - i argued that i am employed with **** for *** no. of years (to demonstrate stability), stated my gross annual earnings converted in $CAD which are backed up by paystubs, mentioned the future financial prospects when i return as per promotion at my place of work, stated that my employer although granted me study without pay there is a 100% reabsorbtion rate for study leave returnees, mentioned that i still have over 20yrs of career growth ahead of me hence the motivation to return and continue to climb up the corporate leadership ladder. i also mentioned my financial indebtedness to my bank where i recieve my salaries and how i need to return and reactivate my salaries in order to close out my indebtedness and enjoy my full gratuity and pension when i eventually retire. mentioned when i can access my pension, the physical requirements to process my gratuity (mentioned the amounts), my life insurance (mentioned the amount) which can only kick in if i pass in service and how this secures my family (see the tactic there again, reiterating family commitment). mentioned our jointly built home with value in $CAD. Mentioned my aged mother, & in-laws whom i support financially from time to time whilst specifically highlighting the medical conditions that required routine check up and treatments. mentioned my freelance business practice which just kicked up and how it can grow further with adequate skills documentation, mentioned my professional certifications, small businesses that my partner runs etc.

then i wrapped up with saying how the whole duration for the post study program is one big family vacation & bonding time which will create lasting memories for the kids and my partner which is one of my personal goals after we return on **** date back to Nigeria, hence i have made $CAD****** available for the period to cover tuition and living expenses whether partner works or not (see the closing there right?)

what is your travel history (if your have)? - mention all visa denials with reasons, give one liners to the why you made those travels to demonstrate that you are mostly intentional in all of your ventures. - i talked about all the little little family trips we have taken, both intra&international, even the small ones in my community corner where we have our home (all to demonstrate that we move together and not always without - further burtressing the single family unit mindset). attached each family member travel visa history pages. i mentioned the two denials we have had specifically France in 2014, and USA in 2021 when we wanted to birth our last (4th) child [i was intentional with this because we were interview for medical tourism and denied based on eligibility not met, so if i am not upfront with this, and during info sharing, USA agency flags this, i may be seen as misrepresenting / lieing, so be tactful].

Now onto the mother of them all---- what is your proof of means of financial support (POF)? - state amounts to show tuition + living expense (for full duration of program) + miscelleanous expense + buffer + flight ticket (return). mention any and all spikes in your transactions (lump sums), mention any loan obligations shown as deductions in your accounts (you can even use them as home ties) --- I started with stating that i and my wife will be co-sponsoring this initiative and attached our ONE YEAR bank statements (MBS). stated the source of funds as salary, consulting commissions, partner's sales income, employee emoluments, and other personal excesses.
Explained every LUMP SUM (excess of N1m creditted into the account, even employer payments) with verifiable evidences and refernce.
Now you need to note that the whole money used for POF was credited into the account exactly 9 days before i submitted my application, and the account was less than N100K worth before then. so what did i do, i didnt pay my tuition from my account, instead i took a loan from a lender, had them pay the money into a colleagues account, and have him process Form A to pay my full tuition for me. I added the tuition receipt and included the cost in my PoF. then, i had a couple of projects i was developing for my employer which they paid to me, (altough that money was to be expended to other team beneficiary by me) i held the money for 3 weeks after applying then disbursed. by the time i disbursed, the account went back to less than N4m which i further disbursed into my crypto wallet. And yes, i used my crypto wallet value as part of my PoF. i simply screenshot my crypto portfolio, my profile page, trade history, crypto platform's email confirmation of trades, email confirmation of credit & debit alerts into & out of my personal account based on crypto trade.
Then i prepared a table showing our financial plan for the *** period of stay in *** province, in canada
i started with stating how much our total PoF is $CAD85,000.00 required for all 6 of us.
aspects of the table includes; program tuition, one year cost of living, extra months remaining cost of living, miscellaneous, flight tickets (return). total the full expense costs. Added a line for amounts paid (tuition), and calculated the outstanding expendition. Added a line for Cash in Bank (PoF) in $CAD, and another line for guaranteed future receipts/income, and another line for fund reserves based on digital crypto wallet in $CAD. i quoted this because i didnt want it to be that we are spending the whole of our life savings on study trip.
I added a remarks under the table that i converted the Naira to $CAD at CBN rate, but i converted monies in the Dorm accounts to Naira at prevailing black market rates of US$1 - N580 because using this rates will boost the monies.
Then i closed up by saying that the amounts will enable my whole famliy to comfortably live in *** province even if my partner and i didnt work, considering also the fact that i have paid my full tuition (with attached receipt) for the program.

I further added a sub-title were i use bullet points to explained each lump sumps for the one year period, and clarified all my funding sources.

i added a sub-title where i listed all documents attached to the application as categorised.

then i went on to Criminality Background Check, Conclusion, and Prayer: - i stated that during the stay in canada, i and my family will be at ***** province, for ** months starting from *** data to *** date after which we will return to Nigeria on *** specific date to resume my active service with my employer while my partner will return to ***** her personal engagements.

i highlighted that i have a clean record in my home country and place of employ for *** years, and fully commit to conducting myself ethically wherever i am. i further made a commitment statement that i and my family will blah blah blah during our stay and maintain the scope limits of the visas if granted, as well maintain / adhere to any & all governing laws + regulations of canada.

signed my prayers.

PS: also included is letter of sponsorship from my partner to me stating her commitment to co-sponsor this endeavour financially during our stay in the province. i also gave her a co-sponsorship letter doing the same thing in her Letter of Purpose.

caveat: Ayam not a guru / agent / SOP writter / Review. so i will prefer any and all kweshiuns be put up here so the family can collectively attend to it.

na work i no get make me type this epistle as i dey wait make class time reach. lazy man sitdon dey look NL. lol

Best of luck to every one.

well I have good news for you.

I am going to show you the information below

1) A list of 75 Universities/Colleges in U.S/Canada that don't demand IELTS/TOEFL as test of English requirement (26 for Undergraduate and 49 for Postgraduate studies). Most of them just ask you to complete a duolingo test, which is easier and faster to write and pass. Not as complicated and expensive as IELTS or TOEFL. A couple of these schools even waived English tests completely if you had your prior education taught in English but just assume you will need duolingo. If you come jam the one that waives English test completely, na your luck. I will show one of such school that waived English based on this, and it is not the one I already showed you in my last offer. Then another 74 schools that don't insist on IELTS/TOEFL.

2. How to get FREE assistance with securing admission (agents charge N150k - N300k for this), with 3 of the 26 schools mentioned above for undergraduate studies, and 4 of the 49 schools mentioned above for postgraduate studies. You just fill a short form of consent, drop copies of your credentials and requested details and go and relax and wait for your admission letter.

3. Where and how to get student loan of up to $50,000 if you get admission with any of the schools mentioned in No. 1 above plus a webinar replay access link so that you see with your koro koro eyes that this is no joke or hype. You will hear from the horse's mouth.

4. How to get FREE assistance with securing your student visa (agents charge N400k-N800k for this) after you have secured your admission and study loan application approved. I am talking about U.S or Canada study visa.

And oh yeah, before I forget, I will also give you

Hi Chinedu,
You can open a new account for your wife and apply for her or you can apply through your own gckey. After filling the information you will see a space to upload the invitation letter else you merge it with the other documents and upload in optional documents section. Scroll back few pages back you will see the list of documents you will need.

I'd suggest you apply for spousal open work permit because in the recent times we haven't seen any approval for visit visa, however many persons here got work permit for spouse approved. For the processing time, you can check the ircc site, however from the recent trend, approval comes in average 3/4months now. But if you decide to apply for the visit visa on the new portal, they said 12weeks processing time. But the refusal rate is high.

All the best.
Thanks. If my wife comes here with an SOWP Visa and leaves in 1 month. Will that cause any problem? Can she be going in and out with it like visitor's visa? She's engaged in Nigeria with our family business.

Is SOWP multiple entry visa like visitor's visa?

Must she work with her SOWP?

My name is Chinedu. I am a student of UofT. I am already in Canada. I want my wife to visit me in Canada this christmas. We don't have kids yet.

My question now are

1 Whose IRCC account will be used for the application? Will my wife apply or me?
2 Where will I upload her invitation letter that I wrote
3 How long before they approve the visa?
4. What are the documents that I need?

Education / On Schooling And Working In America by Jahlivesforever: 8:46am On Sep 19, 2022
F-1 US VISA HOPEFULS:

ON SCHOOLING AND WORKING IN AMERICA
About schooling or living or working in America, I think a lot of people either live in bubbles or do not have quality information. So, I am going to do this once, and give as much information as I can, based off of my own limited experience and knowledge. Anyone with better information is free to complement or challenge what I say. “I know somebody who know somebody” is not information. That somebody you know might not be telling you the whole story.

1. To enter the US you need a visa, and there are different kinds – student visas (e.g. J-1 and F-1), fiancé visa (to come see your fiancé), spousal visa (for people who are married or coming to get married), H1-B visa (if a US employer employs you), etc.

2. As a student, whether on J-1 or F-1 you are only allowed to work 20 hours max a week, and usually on campus. Of course, there are students who exceed this work limit, usually working off-the-book, under-the-table jobs, which is illegal but not uncommon.

3. When you finish school as a student, if you are on an F-1 visa (usually for students who self-sponsor or are sponsored by the school through research assistantships, teaching assistantships, etc.) you are allowed to do a one-year OPT (optional practical training) – like an internship to practice what you learned in school. NOW LISTEN CAREFULLY. This OPT is usually ONE YEAR for F-1 students, but if you did a STEM course, your OPT can be up to THREE YEARS.

4. So, when you hear someone say they finished school and stayed back in the US, they are either doing their ONE YEAR or THREE YEARS OPT.

5. For students on J-1 (usually those sponsored by a government or some scholarship bodies like the World Bank, Fulbright, etc., which is my visa category), there is also the option of a ONE YEAR Academic Training (AT), which is the equivalent of the OPT that F-1 or self-sponsored students get. In many cases, J-1 visas have a condition for such students to go back to their countries immediately after their program, and for some countries, like Nigeria, stay back for two years, before they can come back to the US to work or live permanently. However, this does not mean you cannot visit or even study in the US during this period. In fact, you can get a new visa, say an F-1 for another program, however, that 2-year condition will still be waiting for you (legally speaking that is, though I hear people may be able to find a way around this, even though dem no dey talk the way clearly).
I hope you are still following me:

6. So, what happens after your ONE YEAR or THREE YEAR OPT? Some employer has to sponsor your visa (if I am not wrong, basically, get you a H1-B visa, which is a work visa) for you to stay back legally. And if this does not happen, what is your fate? See you, see your country. Again, legally. Please, I am not interested in what people do illegally to stay back in the US. So it is normal for people on OPT, who have not got sponsors yet, to be worried and in some cases desperate. Some people might decide to enroll in another program to remain in the US and delay doomsday. Note, you cannot get OPT twice for the same level of education. So if you get one for masters, you can only get another one after your PhD.

7. So, what are the options of staying back after school? Well, the straightforward one is getting an employer to sponsor your work visa (and this is not the easiest thing in the world). Outside this, a common one is marriage. People get married – real or fake, to stay back. “I know somebody, she just finished and she no come back”. Sister, your friend fit don marry tay tay, no tell you. I know people for my set wey as dem show from Africa within two semesters dem don marry before dem even focus on school. Fake marriage na money. I won’t go into the issues that are involved in that now. E no concern me. Real marriage, if una like una sef, then God bless una union.

8. Outside the easy-hanging fruit – marriage, loads of people stay back illegally. Their visas expire and they just stay back. What this means is that you are an illegal or undocumented (as Oyibo like to sugarcoat things) resident. This also means because you don’t have a work permit na only under-the-table, minimum wage kinda jobs you can be doing. Those jobs pay cash because the employer is also avoiding paying taxes to the government. Those jobs na sufferhead job of course, but if you convert your dollars to Naira, na big man you be. These are the kind of jobs that you apply in the morning and get before 12 o’clock o. Ehen.

9. Also, some undocumented people might be using a fake social security card or other people’s own to work. The thing with staying undocumented is that you cannot leave the US, because your visa is expired. As you leave like this, there is no way to come back in. Some of the people who stay abroad for donkey years and have not returned home may be illegal residents. “I know one man, since 20 years e never come back, even when im mama die, he no come.” That man fit dey undocumented and as he comot like this, gate don close.

I believe now you have a clearer picture.
So, if you are coming to school in the US and your goal is to remain back, here is a summary of things you need to know:

1. You most likely need to get an F-1 visa. If you come with J-1 like me, even if you decide to marry, you go still go do that your two years for Nigeria before you can come and live permanently with your wife here. If you don’t want to do that, you can switch to a visitor visa, but you cannot work with that kind of visa, unless you want to continue doing under-the-table for the rest of your life.

2. If you get an F-1, just know you have ONLY ONE YEAR after school, or THREE YEARS if your program is STEM. And in that time, if you don’t get an employer to sponsor you, (which is not impossible, but definitely not a MY CASE IS DIFFERENT matter), you will either go back or find one of the roundabout ways people use to stay back in America endlessly. There are pros and cons to roundabout ways as you should know by now.

3. Marriage is probably your surest bet – if you fall in love, whether willingly or by force, good for you, and if you want do arrangee marriage, still good for you.

IF I AM TO ADVISE PEOPLE LOOKING TO RELOCATE ABROAD THROUGH SCHOOLING…
Canada is definitely your best bet. Trust me, I honestly don’t get the hype about being in America.

Immigration in Canada is a way better package than it is in America – in fact, they cannot be compared. If you get a student permit for Canada, after school, you get the same number of years as the length of your course to stay back and find a job. So, if you do a one-year course, you get one year. In this time, you can file for permanent residency, and even if you don’t get it immediately, you can always extend your after-school stay until you get a permanent residency. So, for Canada, the hardest thing is getting a student permit, because immigration officials know that people just use school these days to come to Canada so they can stay back. A Canadian Study permit is definitely more difficult to get than a US Student Visa, again, for obvious reasons. If you manage to get into school in Canada, if you want to stay back, this is almost a sure way to. In a few years you can get your permanent residency, and a few more years you can get your citizenship. As a permanent resident in Canada, your chances of getting jobs in the US are way higher, if na US dey hungry you last last.

And lastly, to find job after schooling in the US is not undoable, but in fact, like in many countries (as I suspect), it is not a walk in the park. Be prepared to do loads of applications (because there are thousands of people across all 50 states applying for those sweet jobs too). But if you want to finish school and work at McDonald’s feel free to relax. Nothing do you, your job sure.

So, because the job space is fiercely competitive, you need to put your best foot forward. I saw the CV of one Nigerian doctor in my school with years of experience and the thing make me laugh. Even though he was qualified, that CV no fit even give am small invite for job for US – na suya wrapper material. These people use programs these days to filter through CVs and screen for certain keywords to narrow the candidates. A bad resume will never be picked. This is why any serious person should get a professional to make-over their CVs for them. My friend Grace Efezokhae, who is in Canada, provides this service, so you can ask her for details too.

PS: I hear the UK's two-year post-study visa ish isn't much different from America's OPT set up. So, look before you leap. No just take your money jump enter where you no go get wetin you want. Or at least, jump enter with the right orientation so you can plan appropriately.
I don talk finish.

Information empowers. Make of this what you will.

Hello All,

I'm on a study permit and at the process of bringing my family,

3. Sponsoring or financing their education - this used to be a big issue

4. Applying for and obtaining a student visa

If these issues highlighted above have
been your barriers to studying abroad,
well I have good news for you.

I am going to show you the information below
as solutions in a few minutes from now just read on:

What I will hand over to you as FREE BONUS after you purchase the VO NoIELTStoCanada do-it-yourself guide at just N4990 from me:

And oh yeah, before I forget, I will also give you
access to replay of the webinar, whose flyer
you see below this post. As in 1 hr 37 mins video
of pure exposure to tips and advice from
people who were just in your shoes few
months ago but have now made it to
and settled in Canada!

It is one eye-opening webinar from 3 different
Nigerians LIKE YOU who have moved to and
are settled doing great in Canada. You will watch
and listen to each and every one of them
sharing many secrets that helped them
navigate the process successfully.

The organizer is a personally known person

Hello Nadingo

Your 1st and 2nd questions clearly shows you are a novice which isn't a problem at all, that is why we are here on this forum to guide you.

Now I will summarise the answers to the your 1st and 2nd question.

Yes you can relocate with your family through the Study permit route (not PGD/PGC route). But you have a high chance going alone and using your other family members as home ties. And when you have your visa, you can apply for a spousal permit for your spouse and Visiting permit Visa for ur kids.
With your second class lower, you can get a PGD/PGC Admission and you can use that to apply for your study permit application and get your Visa.

3. I am not sure about this cos the least you can have is a 2.1 for a Masters degree in Canada. If you last CGPA is high, then you can be lucky with some schools that considers the last CGPA, but I do not think work experience with 2.2 is a requirement for a Master degree Admission in most schools in Canada.

4. Yea, sure.

Peace

Please, what does the bolded (not PGD/PGC route) mean. Can you explain more please?

Nadingo:
Hello. I was meant to understand that for a 1yr PGD/PGC, applying to go with my family of 5 is a red flag due to the duration of the course. I was also meant to understand that I can only qualify for 1year PGWP after a one year PGD/PGC program. This means that it would still be a red flag to apply for my family to join me in Canada at that time due to the duration of my PGWP (1yr). My questions are:

1. Does that mean I can only relocate my family to Canada when I get PR (after may be 3yrs) if I choose to go the route of a PGD/PGC?

2. How does someone with a second class lower degree take his family along to Canada using the study route?

3. Can my 10yr work experience alongside my 2:2 get me a direct Masters Degree admission in Canada?

4. Can a Canadian PGD/PGC be used to secure a Masters Degree admission into a Canadian University?

realize the four core hurdles Nigerians face in
their pursuit of overseas studies, especially
in countries like U.S/U.K/Canada etc.

We are currently processing U.K visit visa,
U.K study visa for January 2023 intake and
Canada Temporary Resident Visa (TRV)

Pay after you see the visa

Whatsapp me now on 09068218780

These 4 challenges are:

1. Writing or even affording IELTS or TOEFL

2. Applying for, and obtaining admission with a university/college

And oh yeah, before I forget, I will also give you
access to replay of the webinar, whose flyer
you see below this post.

The organizer is a personally known person
to me so you get to watch this inspiring
webinar for 100% FREE.

If you'll find the about 4 (or is it 5) set of info valuable
enough as solutions to barriers stopping you from

Hi Everyone,

I am here to share my testimonial and also drop the timeline of my SOWP application which I already shared on the spousal Open work permit (SOWP) thread but thought it wise to also come back here to share it as well since it all began here.
It hasn’t been an easy road but God finally completed His work and to Him I return all the glory.
This was my second SOWP visa application as I had put in my first application together with my wife’s first study permit application early 2021 and both applications got refused. We had initially retained the services of a very reputable IRCC registered consultant in Canada and spent so much for this service, so getting a refusal on both applications had taken us off balance. In that confusion and desperation for a quick solution, I had gotten online and discovered this Study permit thread on Nairaland which I thoroughly read through for weeks and kept coming across a particular name with people singing his praises and how he helped transform their cases and refusals to approvals through his detailed touch “Frankrobb”, I took a leap of faith and reached out to him and I must confess, that was one of the greatest decisions I ever made. After consulting with him, we agreed my wife applied alone for her second study permit application and when she gets the visa and arrives Canada, I apply for my SOWP to join her which we did and here we are, all visas finally approved to the praises, glory and thanks to God almighty. I want to also use this medium to appreciate Mr Frank for his hard work and also being a blessing to my family’s application success, your cup will never run dry, men will favour you and come to your aid before you ask. Amen.

My timeline:

Application submitted on 9th May, 2022.

Biometric was from previous application and was updated on 11th May, 2022.

Did upfront medicals on 5th May, 2022 that was submitted with my application documents.

Medicals didn’t update until July 15th when I decided to disturb IRCC Nairobi and Abuja in July through emails and webforms.

PPR on yesterday, 29th August, 2022.

I wish everyone here God’s favour and good luck and I do hope that this post encourages and gives fresh hope to someone on this journey because with God all things are possible.

I've seen this over and over again -- IRCC taking action after sending emails. What did your email say to them? I want to do the same if it should come down to that.

Congratulations BTW! I hope my time will come soon.

I agree. Life, success and opportunities are almost always relative. Another key influence on what you do and get is the immigration pathway that brought you to Canada. If you came through the Express Entry with your PR or spousal Sponsorship for PR/work permit, your challenges will be fewer. If you came as a student, the challenges will be higher to transition to PR. If you came as a Refugee Claimant, the challenges will be higher and the opportunities will be fewer and lower initially. These things affect so much greatly.

Apt. You have said it all

Well...I think what makes the difference is knowledge. Knowing what you want and going for it will reduce moving around in circles.
What the Op wrote isn't trash actually.
What does people you know have in common is knowledge and Proper planning. What the Op wrote applies to those who don't have these two.

Some say I should apply for spousal open work permit while others are saying visiting visa. Please I am confused at the moment because I want the fastest and sure route to relocate.
Thank you.
