I almost lost my voice seeing the ball in the net after that wonderful free kick. His combination with Ney for that great goal at the edge of the yard reminded me of the exact goal against Villareal with the combo with Eto. The third goal was simply a show of respect and humility from Neymar. Leo, you are the greatest ever. You have set the records for some other players to pursue and run after. You have got nothing else to prove to the world. You are a symbol of humility. All hail the king of football!!! |

Johnpaul88: I didn't watch the match so I do not know the role Messi played leading us to concede. I saw the line up and was satisfied the team was strong enough to win a lowly Almeria. Pedro should be ashamed of himself that he's no longer to be considered a regular for us. He wanted to take on three players and was dispossessed. That is no issue at all but making no attempt to win the ball back is the issue. Pedro? He should have been let go. I think our major problem is still the midfield. Messi is doing his best to link the midfield with the attack, Rafinha and Busi added nothing really to the midfield. Now that we have a very potent attack, what stops us from giving them a very solid midfield to back them up? Henry, Eto and Messi had over 100 goals between them in a single season because they had a great midfield to link them up. |

Johnpaul88: My point is if Pedro and Munir cannot be relied to win us matches, then we still have a unbalanced, uncompetitive team. Do you imagine a situation where these regulars are injured and out of action? We'd then have licence to lose? Sadly enough, Real Madrid have a more competitive team than us. Yesterday's wasn't even there best squad and yet they won handsomely all the same. In fact their best squad cannot be known because any selected squad will perform just as good as others. That is what I wish for our team afterall Almeria is not that a great team. Yesterday's line up is way good enough to dispatch them. I got your point bro! We have so many players in the squad that could no longer be relied upon to win us matches. Alves, pique, busi....... I doubt if we can ever have a competitive squad again this season. let's just hope and pray the major players don't get injured because even with them on the field, we still have issues. Imaging Almeria messing us up anyhow. So so so frustrating. |

Even Messi suppose sit down for bench for like 1 or 2 matches make him head straight oooooo. Which one him go lose ball in a dangerous zone, him no go bother to mark at all. Everybody just luck up no complain about that loss of possession because na Messi, but if na any other person lose that ball wey them take score us, we for no hear word. Nonsense! I almost lost my voice seeing Messi lose possession and making no move to regain it. I hope our friend would see what we were trying to point out then. By the way, why did Batra and Masch maitain such a high line defence? If they had stayed at their duty post, they wouldn't have been caught unawares. |

Johnpaul88: Why don't yoy have faith in him?
I believe you guyz are missing the point here. Pedro and Munir are Barca players with equal chances to start games and impress just like Neymar and Suarez. That they both disappointed should be the real source of concern. It means we didn't have a competitive team just like Enrique craved. Do not forget that we played away to Ajax on Wednesday only to play again two days later. The rotation is justified. But the lack of a competitive team would have been the ultimate worry to the coach and fans not why Munir and Pedro started. I beg to disagree sir! If there is any team that should have done that, I guess it should be Madrid. Yet, Calloti still fielded his strong team even while playing at home. We lost back to back for crying out loud and the best the coach can do playing away from home is to rest the players that can win us the match. Why not rest Busquets instead of Suarez who is yet to regain his best form? |

This was the same clueless trail he was following in Roma, now it continues here...One could have thought he would have continued with the team that beat Ajax.... Let's just hope we win....And where is that Messi defender? You watching the match? Almeria of all clubs too messing us up. We can't even place any pass right. |

homesteady: do you think we'll lose the match? I don't think so! if I want messi to score, then surely I want barca to win!
I wonder why you are trying to play down the breaking of the 71 goals record! It is everywhere on the media, the whole football world is waiting for it, many sport writers are already preparing articles for the 1st breaker of the record! Many pictures have been made!
Sorry no matter how hard you try, you can't bring down the hype of breaking that record!
And it is actually the 1st to break it that matters the most! I can't stand seeing many ronaldo articles on goal.com, when it could have been Messi's articles! Same here bro! You can imagine how goal.com will blow it out of proportion if CR7 breaks it. |

dmcdad: Lucho is the one placing himself under duress. He makes silly decisions and is poor tactically.
As for Messi, truth be told here, I love him more than anything. Seriously! It pains me to my bone marrow that he has not scored more than he had. And let's face it and tell ourselves the truth, although he had been dropping deep for much of the time these days, he has gotten a lot of 1-on-1 situations and clear cut chances that he has blown away just like that. I am very sure of this. I have the match highlights for all our matches thus far except for the ones we lost with high goal margin. lol. If you doubt me, go and watch some of the highlights or even the full matches of past games and come back to testify how he had been annoyingly wasteful. If he had converted most of his chances, Ronaldo shouldn't be ahead in the goal scoring chart or maybe just with a goal or two.
To be frank, it's a matter of concern. And the sentiment there is, if it were some other player, we would have been complaining outrightly. Why not now that it is Messi? Because he is arguably the best player of all time? Infact, that is the more reason why we should be more critical in assessing him more than anyone. I know how we complained of Ney last season because he failed to convert clear cut chances. Now? He is better and always raring to go. I am worried about Messi because I don't joke with him, and I always want him to excel no matter what. But we still have to be realistic and assess him the same we would with any other player. Not fair enough? I rest my case. You are on point bro! I doubt if there exists anyone that loves Messi more than I do, his humility, passion, work rate and commitment is secod to none. I love him with passion. But the truth is that, the Messi of thoses days would have scored double oh his goal tally with the few chances he has this season. We are all aware of what is at stake, take it or leave, the rivalry between him and CR7 continues till they hang their boots. Hence, the need to be more clinical infront of goal when the chance arises. |

dmcdad: Bros God go cool down bless you abeg. Suárez in particular on many occasions spoil that match just because him wan play to Messi. And Messi on his part, just dey blow chances away like garri
And for goodness sake, Neymar is excellent in taking freekicks (and even better than Messi) and with Suárez who is always a fine freekick taker, I wonder why it's being monopolised. If e dey left na Messi, if e dey right na Messi... You got the point bro! The only time Alexis had the chance of playing free kick, he scored a brilliant one. Neymar and suarez are experts, so Messi should allow them have a fair share. Messi seems to be losing his goal scoring prowess by the day, I still try hard to forgive him for missing that seater against Madrid. |

ddippset: we played madrid and psg away! they had the right to beat us! they are super star studded teams as well. we always think we can go to the homes of super star clubs and beat them at will. that is our problem. Bro! Losing to Psg and Madrid is not the issue, but the way and manner at which we approached the matches is the subject of debate. From favouritism to some players, playing some out of position to using a wrong approach. We can hardly muster 2 to 3 passes these days without losing to the opponent. During Pep's era, didn't we lose games? Yes we did, but we always had good games then. If parking the bus has been the problem which has been identified a long time ago, is it not high time we found solution to it? Our game play is woeful these days even in some of the matches we won. |
