It is about getting back what is meant for our wellbeing that people like him mismanaged. As it is being done at the National level, let it happen at all levels. We need all we can get back from those thieves. Truckpusher: |
Let's wait till then, for now, let Amaechi face the heat. Am not expecting anyone to take side here, anyone that has mismanage money meant for the masses shld be probed and purnished. Amaechi o, Wike o, Fashola, El Rufai o, Tinubu o, and let no one take it personal. They are ll rogues and just pretending to like us, they are after their selfish interest ddippset: |

My brother you are on point. That's same court that was closed under his administration for close to a year. Anyway, the court has ruled, even if he gets to Supreme court, he wont win according to the Judge it is set up to investigate previous actions of government as they affect the people of Rivers State, afterall, same excercise is being planned at the national level.. http://dailypost.ng/2015/08/20/court-okays-probe-of-amaechis-administration/ A Rivers State High Court, presided over by Justice Simeon Amadi, has dismissed the suit filed by former Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi challenging the constitution of the Justice Odedeji – led Judicial Commission of Inquiry by Governor Nyesom Wike to probe the sale of state assets by the immediate past administration. Delivering judgment on Suit Number PHC/187/15 filed by Former Governor Amaechi on Thursday, Justice Amadi declared that the Judicial Commission of Inquiry was not established to investigate the personal activities of the former governor, but set up to investigate previous actions of government as they affect the people of Rivers State. He ruled that Governor Nyesom Wike by the provisions of the law is empowered to establish the Judicial Commission of Inquiry to investigate previous actions of government. According to him, there is no law preventing a state government from finding out how her resources were expended. He declared that former Governor Rotimi Amaechi cannot disburse and expend funds of the Rivers State Government and turn around to claim that such powers belong to the National Assembly. On the claim by former Governor Amaechi that the 30 – day set aside for the sitting of the Judicial Commission of Inquiry will deny him fair hearing, the court held the days set aside has not breached Amaechi’s right to fair hearing. The court noted that the former governor has not filed a Memorandum before the Commission and has not appeared before it, hence he cannot complain that he was not given fair hearing. Justice Amadi said that the 30 – days set aside is not sacrosanct, hence it could be extended. The court further held that the suit by Former Governor Amaechi is speculative as he failed to prove the injuries that he has suffered because of the setting up of the Judicial Commission of Inquiry. Justice Amadi held that contrary to Amaechi’s claims, the terms of reference of the Judicial Commission of Inquiry did not accuse the former governor of crime, neither is the former governor on trial. Justice Amadi declared: “The Judiciary is not only the last hope of the common man, but it is also the last hope of the mighty and movers and shakers of democracy. “Those who by the benevolence of the Judiciary got to power should resist the temptation to emasculate the Judiciary”. Commenting on the judgment, Rivers State Attorney General, Emmanuel Aguma said the commission of inquiry can now sit, pointing out that it will be fair to all parties. Counsel to Governor Nyesom Wike said that the ruling of the court has proved that a claimant cannot jump to court to stop the legitimate business of a Judicial Commission of Inquiry. In her remarks, Counsel to Rotimi Amaechi, Former Governor of Rivers State, Mrs Winifred Enyinnaya said that Amaechi will appeal against the judgment. It will be recalled that Governor Nyesom Wike upon assumption of duty ser up a Judicial Commission of Inquiry to investigate the sale of key state Assets by the previous administration. Former Governor Amaechi approached the court to stop the inquiry |
There is somethng that can be done in this case and that is get another source of water, irrigate your farm! omode2: |
Dat's quite high for a farmland. Even big farms like Obj, Zartech can't buy farmland @ dat price. Breaking even for a growing farmer will be hard. |
Na wa o, that's outrageous o, even @ lkorodu, l got an acre for less than 10k pa. Na Aregbe cuz am o, everybody eye red jossytech: |
So much hatred. I just wish Lord Lugard can wake up to read comments on Nairaland for just a day to confirm that he was a great failure for forcing many countries that do not have things in common to stay together. The 'Nigeria experiment' he did with his Girlfriend remains a big failure even after decades. |
Yes,you can get seed, its abt N2, 200 for 100 seeds. mrvitalis: |
Well, I have read through this and observed that no one has come to challenge Hotmass of any wrong doing meaning that this case is an isolated case that did not involve him directly but someone he knew and probably introduced to the victim. This has happened to quite a no of us, l introduced a furniture guy that did a wonderful job in my house to a friend and he ended up running away with my Friend's money, sincerely that doesn't mean l committed any offence, we have bad people all over places and also some good guys do mess up when you least expect. What I really expect from the forum is an appeal to Hotmass to track Dr Isa down and see how he can help the Victim recover his money and not this acusation all over the places. Quite a no of ppl bought land through Hotmas and no one has been out to challenge him.He acted responsibly when l hired his tractor to work on my farm, he opted out cuz of the weather condition and he refunded money paid for the work on time, that to me is a responsible behaviour that is commendable. On this note, l want well meaning Nairalanders to join me in asking Hotmas to help us track Dr Isa so that the Victim will not loose all his sweat and also to prevent that same Dr Isa from scaming other Nairalanders. Thanks all. |
Boss, can you educate us on the issue on Ogbomosho_Igbeti Road weather. We may learn a lot from it. Thanks EmmaAjayi: |
I wonder why people that want change and want all our looted resources probed and return now start advocating and giving someone clean bill. I expect any right thinking Nigerian to stand and support investigation of any allegation of corruption against anyone to truly establish the true situation of thing. I dnt care if Wike is implicatd or anybody, what am after is anyone that has fraudulently enriched himself with the resources meant for the masses should be probed and investigated if found guilty and that should include Fashola, Tinubu, Amaechi, Wike and that's what l expect everyone to stand for. They have raped us amd wasted our resources, even if they contributed to change in govt, it doesn't mean that our reaources stolen by them should not be investigated. A thief is a thief and I cannot vouch for any of them, as far as am concern, they are all thieves except proven otherwise. |
Contact soloxam of Technisem. He got the seed for us. excess4luv: |

Good news but enough of this playing to the gallery. Gather your info quietly, prosecute and establish your case before media celebration. Anyway, when are they inviting Judith Amaechi, Bimbola Fashola, Ahjia kwakwanso, Bisi Fayemi, etc, abi their husbands no dey thief? It will be an insult to Nigerians, if known thieves can be all over news calling others thieves just because they belong to President's camp. So, search all the thieves out (at National, State and LG levels) and prosecute them all, that's what we want. Operation know the big thieves in your constituency and not the thieves in PDP. |
Well done ogbongenet, can you please share the pix of the pawpawplants? Thanks ogbongenet: |
l passed through some markets on Fri and Sat, so many baskets of tomato all over, the small basket sold for 1k 2 weeks ago, was on offer for N100. So ridiculous. |
Most people here are young farmers with limited resources that need to be well managed. Pls convince us and be more specific abt those other offers that will make us spend more of the lean money to visit the Porto Novo. What more thngs are there for us over Songhai farms here that also have basic thngs that can gear up any aspiring farmer. Thanks ramtee: |
Wa o, such a dynamic market, anyway, let's see how it goes before wknd.I actually knew the price will drop after sallah. Am in touch with many markets as well, but still exploring further. On that standard market you mentioned, am game and that's why l said earlier than I am looking forward to working with you. Presently, I planted technisem seed and soloxam has been the brain behind the farm so am sure method of production and standard won't be an issue for me, so we can work seemlessly. I wil get in touch with you soon, to talk better, l have some capacity to participate well in that standard market as I just acquired some huge hectares of land and ready to explore this opportunity further.. jethro2: |
Bros, pls send me the woman's no too o. i will pm you Sir. Thanks enolife: |
Hmmmmmm, our people and their insincerity. Honestly, l prefer relating to those Hausa folks, seems they are more truthful (my view sa o). So it means same 35kg that was sold for 7500 last week was sold for 15k this week. I am looking forward to my first harvest this wknd and l hope the price will still be good now that the sallah is over and activities will resume fully in the North. Pls do you advise l use Ghanian or Hausa basket? I plan to move my harvest down to the east to sell but that depends on the quantity and price difference, I really need all strategy to maximise profit cuz we sufferred some losses due to lack of rain in march/april. I will appreciate your response. Thanks for your valuable help @ all times. Am looking forward to working with you. jethro2: |
Nothing so special about what he is wearing, this is just a normal formal traditional rivers attire. I have a collection of this myself and am not from rivers sef |
Nice one Sis. Good harvest. How much was 50kg tomato last week and how much is it now? jethro2: |
No one will probe him untill EFCC receive petition against him. It is only when law abiding Abia indegenes team up to write petition against him that he will be probed. If you want him probed, get that done. Cheers Abiagirl777: |
NLNG has been on 10 years tax holiday which expired in 2014.Technically there hasn't been any tax prior to that time. Its better we read wide and not just narrow o minds to the propaganda everywhere. authenticman: |
God bless you for being a blessing to othersn for blessed are the merciful. While some ppl try to exploit others on this forum, you can see how kind hearted ppl like Jethro2 is. God will increase you in all ramification every seconds of your life, amen. jethro2: |
Tomato price is still on the high side. 50kg basket is 22k today @ fruit market PHC. Am sure its a good time for Jethro and her team |
The change is here! This is just the begining, na wa o! |
