Bros, he could have reected the result and heat up the country. Buhari did same in 2011 and we all saw the outcome. He tried last min effort to convince Nigerians into voting him in , but not rigging th election. From a reliable source, PDP
Govs and bvigwigs are angry with him because he refused to listen to them by not interfering with the process. I learnt he insisted that he can only coinvince more ppl to his side but will never manipulate vote. He is a man of honour. No single protest in Niger Delta, just because he accepted the results and proactively appealed to his ppl.He is a man with Naija interest @ heart

Bros, I didn't dispute that Sir. I responded to someone accussing the northern Govs for not delivering their states and explained reasons being ethnic alliance and that the Govs can't do much in such situation. Its only SW votes that looks reasonable I agree with you Bros.

Jarus:
And the people of SS and SE that voted massively for GEJ did not vote along ethnic and religious lines abi?

Na number just pass number, Oga. Both were guilty.
PoliticsRe: Jonathan, PDP Governors Meet Punch by securi: 7:52pm On Apr 01, 2015
Thank you, people voted purely on ethnic and religion line in the north, am sure the Govs tried their best but didn't work. The change to the ppl from the north is for power to return back to them and doesn't have anythng to do with economic and social reform, if GEJ is from the north no matter the shout for change they will still vote him.infact if Buhari and Jonathan have been disqualified then and Sambo and Osibanjo contest all those votes for APC would have gone to Sambo, a northerner is a northerner shikena, if you are in doubt check the voting pattern in 2011 and see if there is much diff in the NE and NW.My worry is that we are still not united, no common interest even with the alliance.
nadias877:
Please don't say that. Babangida Aliyu, Niger State governor also lost. Buhari is loved by the Northerners. I'm sure they did their best for GEJ.

Rivers state Governor Rotimi Amachi regrets his joining of Apc, would have remained in PDP if I knew my deputy Engr. Tele ikuru would betray me, tele was even the one who seconded the motion for us to defect to the APC. So is unthinkable that he would return to PDP, if I knew tele was going to make peace with wike I wouldn't have left the PDP. I will encourage you to remain steadfast and expect the worse because some commissioners will soon join him and we can't go to elections with a divided house and political moles- Gov Amachi.

PoliticsRe: Amaechi's Deputy, tele Ikuru Concludes Plans To Join PDP by securi: 3:32pm On Mar 22, 2015
That Tele is in APC till now is a surprise, this move is long overdue.Tele is a very loyal guy, and loyal to Uche Secondus who has been d pillar behind him. Am sure he has been struggling to stay with Amaechi instead of moving back to PDP cuz of his Mentor Uche Secondus.
Making him irrelevant in his constituency is the height of it, l really don't blame him, afterall, he's a made man even if he retires from politics now, but every man must preserve his pride.

THE HAGUE, The Netherlands, March 20, 2015 /PRNewswire/ --

The Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Limited (SPDC), a subsidiary of Royal Dutch Shell plc (Shell) (NYSE: RDS.A) (NYSE: RDS.B), has completed the assignment of its 30% interest in oil mining lease (OML) 18 and related facilities in the Eastern Niger Delta. Its interests in OML18 were assigned to Eroton Exploration & Production Company Limited. Total cash proceeds for Shell amount to $737 million.

This divestment is part of the strategic review of SPDC's onshore portfolio and is in line with the Federal Government of Nigeria's aim of developing Nigerian companies in the country's upstream oil and gas business.

Shell has been in Nigeria for more than 50 years and remains committed to keeping a long-term presence there - both onshore and offshore. Through SPDC and its other Nigerian companies, Shell responsibly produces the oil and gas needed to help fuel the economic and industrial growth that generates wealth for the nation and jobs for Nigerians.

OML18 covers an area of 1,035 square kilometres and includes the Alakiri, Cawthorne Channel, Krakama, and Buguma Creek fields and related facilities. The divested infrastructure includes flow stations together with associated gas infrastructure plus oil and gas pipelines within the OML. The divested fields produced on average around 14,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day (100%) during 2014.

Total E&P Nigeria Limited and Nigerian Agip Oil Company Limited have also assigned their interests of 10% and 5% respectively in the lease, ultimately giving Eroton Consortium a 45% interest in OML18.

All approvals have been received from the relevant authorities of the Federal Government of Nigeria.

Notes to editors:

SPDC is the operator of a joint venture between the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (55%), SPDC (30%), Total E&P Nigeria Limited (10%) and Nigerian Agip Oil Company Limited (5%).

This is quite interesting. Please enjoy

New tomato variety that yields 19 kg a plant
Can you guess how much a single tomato plant will yield? Well, the Indian Institute of Horticultural Research’s (IIHR) Arka Rakshak variety of tomato has yielded 19 kg per plant. This is the yield level recorded by IIHR scientists at a farmer’s field under precision farming.

With this kind of yield, the new variety of Arka Rakshak (Arka stands for the river Arkavathi on whose banks the IIHR is located) has created waves in the sector.

“Clearly, this is the highest tomato yield the State has ever witnessed, and also this variety has turned out to be the State’s highest tomato-yielding variety as per scientific data,” says IIHR’s Principal Scientist and Head of the Division of Vegetable Crops A.T. Sadashiva.

According to him, the highest yield per plant by other hybrids is only 15 kg. Pointing out that Karnataka’s average tomato productivity was only 35 tonnes a hectare, Dr. Sadashiva notes that Arka Rakshak’s yield had touched a high of 190 tonnes in a farmer’s field.

Chandrappa, a farmer from Devasthanadahosalli of Chikkaballapur district, who has grown these varieties of tomatoes, has been able to get an yield of 38 tonnes from 2,000 plants on half an acre of land as against the level of 20 tonnes which he used to get from other hybrid varieties.

“I earned Rs. 2.75 lakh by selling the produce at a rate of Rs. 5 to Rs. 11 a kg from November 2012 to January 2013 after deducting expenses of about Rs. 80,000,” he says.

According to Dr. Sadashiva, these are not only high-yielding varieties but are also resistant to three diseases of tomato leaf curl virus, bacterial wilt and early blight. This helps in reducing the cost of cultivation by at least 10 per cent by way of savings on fungicides and pesticides, he notes.

Besides, these deep read fruits have other advantages as the firmness of fruits makes them suitable for long-distance transportation. Similarly, they have a shelf life of 15 days as against the 10 days of other hybrids and six days of the common varieties.

PoliticsRe: Why Was APC Against National Conference? by securi: 4:39am On Mar 10, 2015
The party Leaders were uncomfortable that GEJ suddenly woke up and decided to convene the conference a year before election and the main suspicion then was that he will use the conference to lure members to approve 6 years single tenure starting from his tenure.
At that time APC Leaders felt the party's popularity will make the party wins presidential election with ease and allowing the conference to approve 6 yr single tenure will deny the party the opportunity to rule come 2015.
Because of the party structure and membership, they suspect anything and everything. The party keeps reminding me of 'abeni lori, ki je ki won mu ida koja legbe oun'

Let him do his things while you do yours, you have done the good work of warning ppl to look well before they leep.God bless you.

When professional talks, they back it up with fact and figures. The fixation comes from lesgupnigeria claiming to have made N1,000,000 from 5 hectares of cassava that he planted.
He also made it a point on several occasion revering to people that has contrary opinion as failures hence the need for the people demanding for truth.
Every one except lesgupnigeria claims cassava planting and selling is profitable.
Don't you think we are not asking for too much?
We all know the truth hence we will let the sleeping dogs lie.
