So SR is now PDP? Obiagelli: |
That people that clamoured for accountability and transparency in govt now condemn a simple call to explain how Rivers resources was managed since there was no such opportunity created by Amaechi is laughable. That is hyprocrtisy of the highest order. Amaechi did not create opportunity for new Govt to ask questions and clarify issues so that there can be continuity in governance, rather he left just like that with bitterness.Such person does not deserve to be called a stateman, he did not show care for the people cuz govt is not abt Wike but abt Rivers ppl. For me, he should be called back to answer questions since he preferred this way than a reasonable and responsible close door interraction if he had reasoned well and formed a transitional committe. To all expecting change, I think first step is to stop supporting lawlessness and let people be held accountable for past, present and even future deed, tht is one of the ways change can come. I personally advocate probe of all our past leaders far back as 30yrs (if possible) because those are the ppl the destroyed our economyn so that we have a roll call of bad leaders and be able to prevent them from establishing themselves in govt as they are doing right now.We want change and therefore, we need to know the bad eggs so we can change them with clean ppl and prevent them from stopping the change we want, except that, no change my ppl |
It was 20k here in PH last week. God knows how much it will be during Ramadan when farming activities are usually low. Kalusam: |

This sounds interesting, please read. http://businessdayonline.com/2015/06/gems4-plastic-crates-initiative-seen-as-solution-to-tomato-wastage/ Plastic crates introduced by Growth and Employment in States (GEMS4) are seen as formidable solutions to incessant tomato wastage in Nigeria. Africa’s largest economy is rated as the second largest producer of tomatoes in Africa and 13th in the world but about 41 percent of the crop is lost in transit from the North to the South as a result of poor handling practice. Locally grown tomatoes often wilt on the vine and rot in raffia baskets on the road to market. In an effort to address this wastage, GEMS4 signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Mile 12 Market Tomatoes Association on the use of plastic crates for tomatoes instead of the conventional raffia basket. The GEMS4 plastic crates initiative, which is funded by Department for International Development (DFID), is targeted at improving the quality of packing materials used in perishable produce sector as well as reduce damage and losses. “We need to improve our market materials. Transportation of tomatoes in raffia basket results in 41 percent of tomatoes being lost in transit from North to South but with plastic creates, it has been reduced to five percent,” said Richard Ogundele, Intervention Manager, GEMS4, during the signing of the MoU at Mile 12 market last Thursday in Lagos. “For high value market to come to Mile 12 market and patronize tomatoes sellers, they need to change their handling behaviour, materials and change the way they present their goods,” he said. Ogundele also noted that the initiative is providing opportunities for banks to play along and expand their agricultural lending portfolio. A big challenge to agricultural productivity and food security in Nigeria is lack of adequate infrastructure to support food production and distribution. “The government also has a role to play. We cannot work on the value-chain without the government providing the enabling environment,” said Adesina Fagbenro-Byron, DFID South West Coordinator. According to Haruna Mohammed, chairman of the perishable section of Mile 12 market, represented by Shehu Usman, “I was with GEMS4 in South Africa to see a lot of good handling practices and I know it’s a welcome development to Mile 12 market.” “The environment we sell in Mile 12 is very poor unlike that of South Africa where you can actually sleep,” Usman said. Arafat Hossain, Senior Intervention Manager, GEMS4, said it will have a transformational impact if all the traders adopt this kind of good practice. According to Hossain, when this is done, there will be surplus of tomatoes in the market. “We are trying to do something on good handling practices. We need a lot of cooperation’s from the traders,” he said. He further noted that the challenge the plastic initiative is facing is the attitude of the sellers to embrace change. He also said to address the challenge all stakeholders should come together and make some changes, while looking at the funding, profitability and the commercial sustainability. |
Well done Sis.Nice one |
Nice one. Pls can you ask him about Arka Rakshak tomato variety. I am interested in getting some seed. I will be waiting for response. Thanks. world1: |
Thanks |
His funny loyalist wanted to use same Greater ph to take pearl garden off eliozu-rukpokwu road from my coop, thank God we are all rugged non indegenes, we fought them to stand still and won. They did same to OPM before denying it and releasing the land to OPM on the eve of elections. Impunity Master |
He used greater PH to slow down growth around Igbo Etche, Omagwa and lots of places. All the properties my cooperative bought still lying redundant 6 yrs after just because of his greater ph with so much secrecy and non disclosure. Imagine govt holding ppl in suspense and stunting dev because everythng abt d project is not clear and being used to enrich his cabals Chiaka: |
Even now the whole ph is wet, rain everywhere. Well, God will definately send down the rain. Soloxam: |
Hmmmmm, it is well. Rain will come by His grace. Meanwhile, rain is falling here in ph hotmas911: |
Chairman, is that rain? quote author=hotmas911 post=32778090]Fair weather[/quote] |
He will be removed and won't there be another election? Forget story, if that election is repeated 10 times, APC can't win it, ask around. TBD: |
One thing l surely know is that we don't really have clean politicians in Nigeria andit will be interesting if anybody will want to do a selective prosecution this time around because l knw ppl will massively challenge that.Yes, Buhari can prosecute PDP guys, but definately, we the masses will also bring up the cases of many corrupt APC guys as well, if we are fighting corruption it should be fought fully across parties, tribes and sectors.GMB has promised not to appoint corrupt men, but at the same time said he is proud of Amaechi, let's see how the Gen will play that card. Back to Dieziani, she is just a foolish and greedy fellow, born with a silverspoon, her Father was a retired Shell executive and later a traditional ruler, she grew up in Shell camp with white kids, attended best schls in the world, married an influential and equally bouyant hubby, had a wonderful career in Shell and through Niger Delta connection became first female Director in shell, used same connection to get appointed as the first female Petroleum Minister but still can't afford to live an upright life free of scandal. It is just a pity sa. With this enviable CV, she can't still maintain a good name.Naijas and greed. |
Bros, ballot boxes and papers were snatched, do you know hw many Amaechi himself snatched? Militants scared ppl, do you knw how many ppl Amaechi's security scared away and bullied too. My Bro, no election has been free of rigging in Nigeria especially in rivers state. The 1m+ Amaechi gave GEJ in 2011, was it free and fair? Everythng you complained abt we're perpetrated by the 2 sides, diff is dat, one has masses sympathy than the other.Amaechi was humiliated and chased away by Omagwa youth dat day, even when his security shot and dispersed them, they still insisted election must hold is that not a sign of masses rejectiion? Right in his LG. Anyway, if they repeat this election APC can't still win period. ddippset: |
Easy Bros! No one is fighting you here lol, just a clarification and you are calling names lol, na so una be? Anyway, you missed a major and critical group, the masses, they are also against Amaechi, first because of his garroulosness and because they believed he can go to bcome anythng @ d Fderal level but they dnt want him to use them to take any credit or glory.I'm in ph. And I knw ddippset: |
It's true Sir. Access to Wike's area was blocked by over 50 armed soilders yesterday. He only went to vote and went back. He was practically under house arrest as armed men sorrounded his house watching him closely while amaechi was going from one poling center to another snatching electoral material and scattering electioneering process ddippset: |
![]() Breaking news! Amaechi has just changed his permanent home address to no 1 Buhari street, Daura. Nations, Sahara newspapers and others, please take note |
So you have evidence of Wike killing and burning houses? Hmmmm, if you do, then you will have evidence of Rochas killing too o, abi dem no kill for Imo?. tinsel: |
No be only Pappy Luwe, you think all the ballot boxes he snatched were not on tape and all d ballot pappers too, read electoral laws and see it clearly written there. Na like film he go do am. philips70: |
Amaechi too will follow suit and spend nothing less than 6 months in jail for snatching ballot boxes and papers and also for misconduct at the pooling booths. Rivers state will be the litmus test for Buhari's anti corruption stand. philips70: |
Chai, see discrimination, Amaechi snatched ballot boxes and papers @ several polling booths yesterday and during presidential election and he is still moving freely and talking anyhow. Now that Buhari said he ill prosecute election offenders I hope PDP will gather all these evidence against the Emperor Gov. |
Leave them, let ppl in Ikeja, Abeokuta and Ilesa be telling us what they dnt knw sisi abt. We wey dey ground for Rivers knw that Amaechi is just an empty barrel full of noise naijanaso: |
Why are people talking like mumus, Amaechi's tenure ends on 29th. May, even if election is cancelled based on electoral la another election must hold before that day. I trust the ppl of Rivers, if that election is repeated 20 times, APC will loose. Forget that dream of June, who will be Gov after 29th May. Una go see court cases tire if INEC try that, this is a democratic era o, make una remember. |
Obviously, you don't knw iboland. If you knw Enugu state, you will be the first to tell Rochas to stop making noise. searider: |
Breaking news! Amaechi has just changed his permanent house address to no 1 Buhari street, Daura. Nations, Sahara newspapers and others, please take note |
Not only you, there has been no rain @ Ogbomosho too for weeks now.it's really hampering a lot of things. Its causing delays in transplanting pepper and tomato from the nursery. |
