S o how is the fact LSE is part of University of London mean it is called University of LSE?Trying to change topic, You did not go to Imperial (when it was still a london school), You did not go to UCL. The only school you could have studied at obviously would be LSE. But you definitely did not go to LSE. Thats for sure. You did not go to Cambridge. I worked and studied at Cambridge for a bit, so I am very familiar with the system. If you did go, I want to ask you questions, stop bullcrapping around. You are just trying to find out how I figured you went to bristol. I am just using this to humor you. You should know by now that I am a class ahead of most people on Nairaland. So is this why you call everyone m/o/r/o/n on nairaland? |
Haha manny4life I got the joke. Are you really going to Dupont Circle ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Man u dey try ooh, softly softly, I am not homophobic but i never dey go that area. I used to work in that area before for an organization, and I used to see guys holding hands ![]() Let me not scare these homophobes Bored with sagamite. I am just going to laugh for a minute. Now that I know that the guys swagger all over NAIRALAND is just empty swagger next time you call someone m/o/r/on Ok, going to watch some anime. Really the guy even claim Cantab sef olodo pangolo |
If you went to cambridge do you mind me asking you some questions? About the university ![]() |
@manny4life Actually the issue is that Gtown is very much social science based just like LSE is social science based. These schools dont rank well internationally as a result. Also Gtown is very undergraduate focussed. Sagamite knows this, and I am sure he knows that really Georgetown is better than his undergrad. Its all swagger, dont waste your time. However, in terms of undergraduate strength- I have been to Cambridge, Harvard, Yale and Princeton to do research at one point in my life, as well as interacted with professors from this schools- they will all consider Bristol about equivalent to Boston College. Also several british academics continually criticize the rankings that sagamite posted. Its only sagamite that would use such crap. I went to University of C . . . . . . . .Oh boy such a liar. LSE is a member of University of London. You are so full of crap. So when you claimed you went to a red-brick university you went to cambridge sebi? Hmm, ok keep on going alapuro oshi ![]() tensor777:U chop? Does Cambridge even have PPE? the guy went to bristol. Its so easy to tell |
I did not go to Bristol, mate, I went to University of L . . . . . . . .Ok you must be daft. If you went to LSE you would think Georgetown is exceptional. People at LSE think highly of Georgetown because they have very significant research and exchange links. You are such a liar. Claim your school. U did not go to LSE sharrap. Liar. How can you even make such a silly claim. You went to LSE and you keep using the word Red-Brick? When did LSE people start using the word red-brick. Let me gives you some advise I have lived in london signficantly, and scotlant too, all this braggado would not work. I know your system wellu wellu. you went to bristol not LSE. LSE ko, LSE ni. Who dash monkey banana? |
I guess Prof is consulting Googles and hasn't come across a ranking that places Georgetown above BristolDont talk about what you dont know. Did you go to bristol too? By your "outside the box" thinking they are flawed?Yeah Emory is better than LSE, do you agree? I/d/i/ot only at bristol will you find such i/d/iots Mugu. GrinOh really prestige to whom? http://colleges.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-colleges/national-counselor-rank You are retarded I swear. Bristol students do not even have superb rep in the UK, somnetimes I think you are 100% high. |
So Cornell 14th, Bristol 68 in THE ranking Cornell 12th, Bristol 66th in ARWU Hmm and they are the same Olodo pangolo |
manny4life:@Manny4life Ignore the guy, the guy placed his school next to cornell and co, who trump Bristol in all international rankins. Then he switches gear when compaing to georgetown. Why not agree that university of colorado is a peer of bristol since it performs superior research and ranks similarly? Most of those rankings have issue, and two of them are made by british/european companies. Hence Bristol would look good. Even in the UK, its rep is about average, it does not share the same rep as say Michigan would ahve in the US. It does not open doors in the same way. More like shuts doors Bristol is about what here in the US we consider Boston College- decent if you cannot crack the top. |
The pattern used by SJTU, QS and Times Higher Education.Dont be daft those are research rankings and they are so flawed its ridiculous. Are not talking about undergrad here? Be consistent at least. Did they not teach you that at Bristol. I would be last to say that Georgetown does the same quality of research. But the average student at Georgetown is 3-4X better academically than that at your past examionaion cramming, lack of critical thinking s/h/i/t university. Prof, what is on that link you posted? Top Universities ranking?Schools for the social elite. The social elite tend to be the brains in a country. Bristol does not make the cut. No one in their right mind would consider Bristol having more quality graduates. Except if you went to a s/h/i/t university like Bristol. So you have resorted to laughing too. Good swagger eh swagger. Anyways its all good, its all about swagger. i really dont care about again since you went to bristol. Its not even in the same class as Georgetown in terms of academic quality. Its more like Boston College. My classmates dont start in the Middle Office at an Investment bank working on corporate strategy and feeling superior. They do front office capische? Now where were we? Lets go back to the debate OAMJ4 |
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alumni_of_the_University_of_Bristol You guys don try oooh, you have produced so many comedians- are you by chance on that list? LOL |
Even though my sample pool of Georgetown is low, more importantly, Bristol flaws Georgetown in ALL global university rankings. Is that how they spell floor at Bristol ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Muahhahaahah go and shoot yourself man you went to a s/h/i/t uniuversity |
HAHA Tell that to Harvard Yale Princeton Stanford mit. Speak not of what you know not. You think those schools accepted someone for graudate school who would never cut Leeds and Newcastle. Man you must be dumb as a screw. Thats what you get for going to a school ranked in the 30s in the Guardian. No wonder you hate that ranking sef. Come on dont waste time. Of course you will be impressed by Bristol. Unilag graduates are impressed by unilag. U WISSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HAHAHAAHAHAH Anyone can make claims online. Do you want me to give the department you graduated from too, and the year? Why are you ashamed of your undergrad? The i/d/i/o/ts in my high school went to bristol LOL Newcastle ko, Leeds ni. S/hi/t Universities, your peers Maybe you met some of them. They would never survive Unilag sef. Next time I hear you insulting a Nigerian graduate, ii will just carefully remind you that you went to Bristol. So where is Bristol again? http://ivyplussociety.org/about.html They did not make the social or academic cut. Go and cry ![]() |
^ in his mind, man in his mind. The kids at Bristol that cannot even recall simple equations, that all they do is practise exam papers. Man he who knows not knows not what he knows not. |
No 1, an average Bristol student is better than an average Georgetown student.HahaHAHAHAHAHAHA. Yeah In your mind bristol grad, in your mind. I am guessing. LOL, you dont know me yet. He who know not what he knows not knows nothing. I'm just curious, you mean Georgetown in Washington DC?Yeah he means my undergrad. LOL, now i dont care anyways since I don graduate. You think I have never been to Bristol right? LOL LOL LOL |
OAMJ Reread my comment, in a "patriachial society" Use some critical thinking. I gave you a hint. Social conditioning. Ok, I can go back to laughing LOL |
^ hahahaahaah ![]() Bristol ahahaahahaah ![]() Oh my, ok I just recovered back to the debate But s/h/i/t bristol hahaahaha Bleep man, I gotta stop laughing for a while Kai black man and self-importance Ok, sefago relax, relax, back to the debate |
HAHAHAHAHHAHA ![]() ABEG MAKE I LAUGH SMALL OOOOOOOOOH KAI I LACK AN ANALYTICAL BRAIN OOOOOOOO ![]() HAHAHAAHAHA SEFAGO DON CRAZE FINISH C ME SEE WAHALA |
lol Grin Grin Grin Very funny! You have no problem with homosexuals, but you want to start an anti-polygamy crusade.Did you just make the claim that polygamy is not forced? Are you for real? In patriarchial societies, you think polygamy is not forced? Really please show me one example where a post-modern woman has opted for polygamy ![]() U probably went to University of Bristol too. How did it feel going to an Ivy-One of the bonafides best universities in the world So what happened to the rights of 2 consenting adults? So what if 2 people want to be in polygamy? Or are you going to give one extremely daft argument I once heard about, and was termed as "informed consent", that was put forth as "out of the box thinking" taught in a US university? Please don't.And there we go again, and again, then again. Mediocre graduate from the system of a mediocre country . SO thats what gives you so much swagger. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAS/h/i/t man I gotta do it again HAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH I might as well get insulted by a Unilag Student. Indirect attacks will not be allowed. Indirect attacks will be dealt with accordingly. Let me b e and I will let you be. |
I'm going to start my own anti-polygamy campaign soon enoughGo girl. I am also anti-polygamous. Its sexist and demeaning to women. But how do you expect these ignorant, socially programmed i/d/iots to think outside the box. |
Another B.S argument . . . if I don't like OBJ, I won't vote for him but does that mean I'll support you for murdering him in cold blood??I just dey sit down here dey laugh at these people. I just dey sit down dey laugh ooo bros . . . not worth commenting. When they cannot undertsrtand ABC how they go understand how to analyze wellu wellu |
Seems this is where the confusion came in: I meant to say around 10-15 students made 6A1s and above when I was in secondary school. About 20-30 made 4A1s and above. About 50-70 made 2A1s. This was in a school of 400+. But nearly half the students made up to A1 in subjects like math because WAEC math is a joke. If you cannot get an A1 in WAEC math then you must be borderline r/e/t/a/r/d/e/d So when ranking schools for WAEC they always pick the best 50 lol and ignore maybe the other 350 students in the school who did not so well. So my high school always did great because of the top 50, they never bothered with the other 350 students olodo students. Sad a significant number of these 50 students ended up going to university in Nigeria while some of these dullards went to schools in the UK attending places like Nottingham, Loughborough, Warwick, KCL, Manchester, Edinburgh e.t.c most would start claiming these schools are Ivy-League equivalents soon enough. |
nah ajepako ni mi. chop knuckle I cannot speak yoruba fluently because all my parents did in was speak english to me. Its their fault not mine ![]() |
Far from it- where the hell is taht? |
Na i never attended any of them. These schools are just for rich kids they dont produce real brains. I attended well a decent school (I dont know even if i should call it public or private), were the people were brilliant, and really put me up to standard. Most people got 6-7A1 and we are generally in the top 10 schools for WAEC each year or at least produced the best student in est africa in WAEC. But it was not an expensive private school and I am glad that i did not attend such. I was supposed to go to one of them, but I personally told my parents that I dont want them to pay that much for any school and would be happy going where I went. Everyone in my family ended up attending an expensive private school except me, and I think I came out alright. Funny my younger brother went to the same school that i went to- barely survived academically, then moved to one of those rich kid schools and dominated them like a plague. However, when WAEC came out the best students in his school could make no more than 3A1 and all of them screwed up the SAT and so they all packed themselves to Imperial College, London and Oxford. the best in Nigeria are not in any of those schools. The video is Fela Kuti Eko Ile, terrible embedding videos |
Population in Nigeria is over 150 million. Median age is 19yrs!!! (compared to 36yrs in USA, 42 yrs in Finland)Yeah, I know- just that I had never heard of those schools. In my younger days the schools I heard of were Greensprings, BIS, loyola, olashore, adesoye, and AIS e.t.c the school for rich kids until I went to a secondary school on the mainland where i discovered that there were other people in Nigeria apart from rich kids. Most of us live in a bubble though you know. However, I miss Nigeria so much remembering secondary school back home. Funny I hated it so much then. Fela grabbed the true meaning of all Nigerians who are abroad except kobojunkie haha: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aK43iAg9p1w |
Yeah to be honest I had already seen kobojunkies point but its fun to insult her haha. Everyone on nairaland does. However, if she goes missing most of us will be start making threads about where is she? Isnt Nairaland, one big cute family? I agree that there are tons of really crappy secondary schools but to be honest you can still comeout of these schools unscathed (LOL maybe not come to think of it) Interesting, I had a friend who wanted to set up a teach for America type program in Nigeria, but i told him it would not work anyways though its a wonderful idea. I am a big fan of education in general and what would make me happy is the chance to have an impact on the Nigerian educational sector (cough cough Minister of Finance 2031) but hopefully things will be better then and no child will be left behind. Nigerian schools are not that bad the have trained some of the best of us. What can I say, I am a proud product of the Nigerian system myself and I would not trade it for secondary school in Eton, Andover or Le Rosey, but would definitely try to send my kids to one of these schools . |
thank your lucky stars i'm a nice person.
Thats respectful of you, and I like people who respect the privacy of others However, like fstranger said you are prolly a fake nigerian or an oyibo for that matter |

Morality is subjective and highly susceptible to personal perception guided by popular culture influenced in part by regional culture and , increasingly , global culture . We will be here for the next ten days if we try to be arbiters of the parameters guiding empirical morality. Morality , as evident in human history, can become the precursor for arguements relating to superiority. Some Islamic fundamentalist frown at the moral decadence in the world today. They can , for example , then propagate their superior laws and lifestyle as a valid arguement for the physical enforcement of a 'higher' moral code of existence on others who , ordinarily , should be able to make decisions as adults in regards to how they want to live. Subjective "morality" gave rise to Sharia all across some Nigerian States when secularity should have won in recogntion of how , as adults , we do not need draconian enforcement of moral tenets written laws of the land cannot support. Finally an intelligent person. Unfortunately you are on the right side. Maybe I should switch sides a bit? Agreed morality is subjective but isn't intrinsically drawn from the majority? Ok take racism for example in the 1800s it was a perfectly ok notion to assume that blacks were no higher than animals. From the point of view of a black person that is wrong. However doesnt a culture have a right to decide its own moral code as long as the majority carries the vote. I would take the part of someone from this times cultured to think a certain way. To those in Victorian England, there is really to be honest nothing wrong with discriminating against an African. These guys are primitive, their culture is primitive. Our scientists claim that they have smaller brains too (All though we have never seen their small brains). Their people are also violent and love to burst out singing songs of frightly passion throughout the night to their Gods. Pray why should we consider it morally wrong to view blacks as lower than dirt when from our universal point of view, and my own opinion as someone brainwashed in the 1800s believe that blacks are in any way or form higher than the basest of animals. Since I think their presence is aberrant, and everyone in my society does so, what justification do you hold that our moral code is wrong. And what up will all those reformers trying to change our society from what it is? These people trying to change an already well established society and trying to prove the rights of a black man based on civil rights. As if they have rights. What next the homo/se/x/u/als Another one: Its ok for we homophobes to dislike gays. We think its disgusting (What an argument , must everything always be about you?), We believe its unnatural (WTF, na only u dey for this world. Wetin be unnatural), We believe they are the same as craddle-robbers, bestiality (Holy crap really? What an extrapolation. What next?), You guys have been brainwashed by white people (Really, the first person who drew the analogy between homos and craddle-robbers/bestiality was Justice Antonin Scalia who is whiter than white, so you like white people ideas when they fit your opinions sebi?) |
