ChessEnthusiast:There is a good reason for him hailing the withdrawal of forgery case against saraki/ekweremadu. Its the beginning of the great RE STRATEGISING he's started already. If the current cabal is trying to buy the middle belt/southeast/southsouth over through Saraki/ekweremadu, then this means Asiwaju is 'on point' to have hailed the withdrawal also. This is because the new Realignment that is been worked on currently has its strong hold in the south and the middle belt. And either we like it or not, these two men have some major followership among their people. For now, this is the reality of nigerian politics. Asiwaju would have dealt himself a major blow if he had not contested the 'Bridge Building' with the cabals by not also hailing the withdrawal. im sure both Saraki and Ekweremadu got the signal already. Forming one anti corruption agent doesn't cut it right now, a very serious and jealous bridge building is needed seriously. I must say that the moment I read Tinubu hails the withdrawal...my respect for Asiwaju doubled immediately because I understood he's back on the field working on his plan B instantly. |

honeychild:some of our billionaires already have refineries abroad...and are benefiting from the current situation of the country. |
1. Over $4 billion worth of equipment currently sits on the site. 2. The project is slated to cost $14 billion (N2.8 trillion) of which Dangote is contributing $7 billion in equity. 3. The project site is larger than Victoria Island. It is located on 2135 hectares of land in Epe, Lagos near the Lekki Free Zone 4. It is the largest industrial complex in Africa 5. Work goes on, on the site, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week 6. World Record 2.72 million accident free hours recorded on site, without a single lost time to injuries 7. It is the largest single train grass roots refinery in the world with a processing capacity of 650,000 BPSD 8. Dangote Group brought in the world’s #1, #2, and #5 sand dredgers to sand fill the site. 60% of the land being swampy. So far these dredgers have reclaimed 13 million m³ out of 30 million m³ 9. During construction, the project will employ over 25,000 Nigerians 10. When this project comes online, Nigeria will save a minimum of $10 billion a year on imports 11. The Ammonia component of the plant will produce 2.8 million tonnes of Urea 12. Dangote is producing its own electricity to power the plant and by so doing is saving 75% costs. Dangote produces electricity at a rate that is significantly cheaper than the Federal Government. Dangote’s cost is $400,000/MW, while Federal Government is $2,000,000/MW 13. All the civil engineering is done by Nigerian companies 14. The plant has an export value of $6 billion per annum, meaning Dangote’s effort will increase the amount of foreign exchange in Nigeria’s foreign reserves by at least 40% of current value on a yearly basis 15. Dangote said when this project comes on line, his friend Femi Otedola will save at least N26 per litre on millions of litres of diesel and petrol which his companies import annually. This savings will be passed on to the consumers and it will take a lot of pressure off the banks 16. Billions of Naira were paid to acquire the land and to settle the existing communities. More money was also allocated and spent to relocate the existing communities 17. This project will restore the dignity of Nigeria, a crude producing country that has for years gone abroad to meet its demand for refined products 18. Refined products to be produced at the plant include but is not limited to propane, petrol, Jet Fuel, Diesel, Kerosene, Carbon Black, Polypropylene, Polyethylene 19. The United States Trade and Development Agency is supporting this project with $997 million. Copied: from Nigerian Renaissance Youths |
Knowledge9000:You are actually mixing things up...there is a difference between been objective and been sentimental as an ethnic group. While been objective means a people will follow you after a careful observation and analysis that you actually mean well. The moment you start to derail from been progressive, you are immediately discarded and the same people will turn against you even if it means supporting a 'no body' against you. In other words, their support for you is not because you are their king or because you are rich and influential, they give you their support simply because you are doing what is sensibly right. While in the other side of the coin, you secure a permanent support from them the moment you are able to constantly oil their ethnic or religious sentiment.. but the moment you try to be rational with them you immediately start facing rejection. |
frank317:I never said prayer is irrelevant...prayers apart from its spiritual angle, is also an important psychological motivations we need as humans. Now add that to all the already sleepless nights a student passes through while reading for instance, there, you have a very high spirited and happy student. I don't want to talk about the spiritual aspects yet since you seem not to believe in spirituality. However your disbelief in spirituality doesn't make a supreme supernatural force non existent. An animal doesn't pray for instance, so its all goes back to the issue of this gift of consciousness from God. I tell you my friend, what we are currently experiencing in the world today will be a child's play if Atheism is to be the popular belief... |
frank317:Maybe you skipped this part of my post: "in the case of a boy without anus, people living withdeadly diseases, and so on, it is our responsibility to make sure we provide adequate medical help to them. after all our efforts, whatever happens my friend, is meant have happened." |
Sadly does it mean all of you ( geesampower, frank317 and lepasharon) pretend like you didn't read what I explained about the gift of intelligence to man from God? Prayer is needed to express our wishes to God....yet we still have to work towards whatever our wishes in life are. After much struggle (physically and mentally) and prayer, whatever we get is exactly what we are meant to get. That is part of the complexities of life. It doesn't make any sense to build your belief in God on direct intervention (miracles-like what you guys fantasize) from him. Also far more ridiculous is to know that for a fact an ordinary mobile phone can never evolve on itself. Not to talk of a far more complex human and the entire galaxy. Actually your former belief failed you doesn't mean God does not exist. |
geesampower:praying to God to operate the boy when you already have his gift of intelligence that made you invent various medical practices that can correct the boy's situation?. My holistic reply has answered all his questions unless you want me to start numbering like kindergarten. |
HardMirror:But if you read my post carefully Hardmirror, I've covered your questions already. read the part about "the flight", there I said, all the agencies, the pilots, and even the passengers have to work to make sure they have a safe flight. further I said also that the government has to investigate the cause of the crash in other to avoid such in the future. However after doing what we are supposed to do as humans, whatever happens ULTIMATELY is the best for that moment. The best thing doesn't have to be what we like. in the case of a boy without anus, people living with deadly diseases, and so on, it is our responsibility to make sure we provide adequate medical help to them. after all our efforts, whatever happens my friend, is meant have happened. Do you realised that the so called science itself is among those miracles from God you so much want to experience. in my last post I said God can perform miracle through any of his creatures. then I also said our consciousness as humans is the greatest weapon we possess. With our intelligence, without asking for God's direct intervention we can sort ourselves out. Miracles steers you in the face in science. The gift of intelligence which God created and imbedded into man in other to make him survive in his environment. Prophet Muhammad (saw) once told his companions that : "when a man can listen to himself talking, then the HOUR is near". those people around him 1400 years ago believed that would be a miracle. But in this age, it appears normal to us...i can simply record my voice and playback...not knowing it's part of God's miracles using us to perform through the gift of intelligence. But you rather want to see a mighty angelic figure from the skies or a face appearing from heaven commanding the boy anus to have holes immediately. If we will get such direct help everytime then what's the use of our intelligence? You may also want to bring up the atheist argument that our intelligence is as a result of evolution. But how come its only the human specie that is able to evolve into been intelligent and rational. How come other animals who have been in existence millions of years before humans are yet to possess this powerful weapon? Again I have to repeat, so much emphasis and importance placed on direct miracles from God leads you to your present state. |
Hello Hardmirror, indeed I salute your efforts in simply being human. our consciousness is no doubt the greatest weapon we possess as humans. this whole concept of God and human relationship I will advice will be best understood by going for a SAFARI holidays (if you can afford it ofcourse. if you cant, pay more attention to the wild life documentaries on your local cables). you will realize that the SAFARI guides will instruct you never to interfere with whatever wildlife behavior you may experience in the wild. it's for your own safety first, but the ultimate reason is because whatever happens in the wild is exactly what makes the wild "alive" and "balances" the entire ecosystem. for instance, it's may be so terrifying to you to see a lion tearing a cute baby deer to pieces but if deers are left to proliferate, it may turn out harmful to the entire ecosystem. Hence, predators such as lions are natural agent to check their population. Now coming to our own 'world' as humans with consciousness and all sorts of emotions. the sight of a boy without anus or famine ravaged community, or a blind man from birth...is really disturbing. While it becomes necessary for us to offer some help, it might just be the best thing for that particular time or situation. for instance, you missed your flight and it hurts you so much only to discover that the same flight crashed later. I know the next you will say is ; " so those who all died in the crash are not humans abi?!...you see my friend, the best thing aren't always what we like or desire. one of the passengers might be a very good person and a look into his future life, he might later turn evil. So death at that time might be the best thing for him to end it up on goodwill. Another passenger might be a hired assassin who has to go take the life of an innocent man...Even though it is necessary for all the agencies including the pilots and even passengers to make sure they have a safe flight...Also necessary for the authority to investigate the cause of the crash in other to avoid such later, whatever happens ultimately is the best at that particular time. The problem with your former faith is that it pays so much emphasis on MIRACLES AND WONDERS...there is no way such faith won't continue to record situations like yours. Even though miracles exist, God occasionally performs miracles through any of his creatures when VERY NECESSARY. just in the case of war situation in a country, and the elephants were all killed for their ivory in other to purchase arms during the war. After the war, the government may result to buying elephants from other countries and reintroduced to the wild to balance the ecosystem again. if the animals in the SAFARI were humans and the government is God, you can see it's a necessary miracle because there's no way elephants would have gotten back to that wild without the intervention of a higher power because the elephants have been totally wiped out during the the war. Now in the case of you and your colleague "forcing" the poor dumb boy to speak, how do you determine at that time it is necessary for the boy to speak and that is the best thing for him. So in essence my brother, you cannot force God to act out of your own ordinary human emotional feelings. Think about this then we go next to "why there must be a God and the universal concept of God". Thanks. |

What I mean is... I have not seen in Nigeria, any female who is employed as a driver of a family, an individual,an institution or even in government institutions. Please share your experience if you've seen one. It will be interesting to know. |
muafrika:That's it my brother...we learn new things everyday. |
ifenes:I understand where you are coming from...but the most logical angle is to believe there is an "UNCAUSED CAUSE" |
muafrika:Sorry for the very late reply. Exactly! their lifespan can last for even millions of years. So its possible for them to be around during the time of all the prophets yet still be around today. That doesn't mean they can not die. You see, if you go by all calculations you will come to understand. Firstly, going by the logic of all the three major religions (Islam, Christianity and Judaism), you will discover that everybody believes God is the only IMMORTAL. This simply means everything has its expiring date except God. Even in the Yoruba traditional religion Orishas do die. that's why when a particular orisha stops granting people's requests even after meeting all obligations...it is presume the orisha is dead and therefore worshippers stop worshipping that particular Orisha. In the Islamic faith, it is believed that at the end of time God will put an end to all matter including the angels and exist alone for thousands of years. He will then continue to call out saying; whoever or whatever is immortal should come now. Behold! nobody and nothing will answer him for 40 thousand years before he will then raise us back to life for judgement. |
ifenes:I don't really get you... |
Only God doesn't have a beginning and end. Every other thing was created and therefore has a beginning and will surely have an end. So, be it an angel or a demon has a lifespan. |
