the family of Ibrahim (as) is not superior to the family of Muhammad (sa),who is the chief of the prophets.those Imams from the purified and select progeny of Muhammad (sa) were given knowledge by Allah (swt) and they are inheritors of the knowledge of the Prophet Muhammad (sa).they are chosen to lead and guide,but they are not prophets.

whatever pole you want to use,try and shorten it so you can understand (not what I or the Shia say) but what you read in the Quran and the hadiths of the Prophet (sa) you accept.reading the Quran from Fatiha to Nass without understanding what you're reading is of no use.you read what you don't understand,or you understand what you don't implement,would render you "Summon,Bukmon,Umyon,Fa Hoom La Yubsiroon",as it is put in the holy Quran.

1121: I understand ur argument and I agree with u that there is nothing wrong in publicizing a miracle, but what got me concerned is the fact that these miracles limited to a particular region of the country (southwest) and never occurred here in the north where islam is spread to other part of the country

If Allah chooses to show his signs anywhere he wants nobody can question him. Because islam entered nigeria through the north doesn't stop Allah from showing his signs to any people he chooses. It is the same arrogance that made the jews and christians to reject the prophet(saw). Don't forget that virtually all nigerian tribes are represented in lagos and its gradually spreading to other parts of the southwest. Southwest is also the home of nigerian media. That is just my opinion but surely Allah chooses whoever he wills or wherever he wishes as a means to spread his message. Allah knows best.

1121: The other time a baby was born with quran in Lagos, another with rosary in abeokuta, and of recent, an inscriptions was found on fried meat (funny though). This I reason couple with the fact that the most educated muslims are found in this part of the country and every intellectual effort is being put in place to give islam, a religion that is already denigrated by the recent islamic sect, a new image. So your proof for rejecting them is because they all came from the southwest. And that it should be some intellectuals behind it in other to redeem the image of islam. You see, it is better to keep quiet than speaking on what you are not sure of. It is an advice from the prophet.

Truly the greatest miracle is the quran. However I don't get it, does the op expect muslims to just keep silent as if nothing happened whenever there is a sign from Allah?. I'm not saying all the so called miracles are true but I mean, I don't think its wrong for muslims to discuss a development that concerns islam on the internet.


Why should the criteria be that a muslim must almost be perfect in his deen (worship) before he can discuss a development on the internet?. Are you saying a case as heavy as the story of a boy been born holding the quran(either true or not) shouldn't be discussed by muslims on the internet? While that of "tonto dike wearing plastic teeth" is the hot topic?. In my opinion, I believe for the fact that Allah promises the muslims that he will continue to show mankind signs till it is established that the message is the truth, then, there is nothing wrong whatsoever in muslims coming on the internet to discuss and fully analyse the authenticity of these developments.


I've not seen an alfa for instance organising a gathering inviting the cripple or the blind to come and receive their healings. Somehow muslims know islam is not based on miracle. But we will be stupid if we discuss almost anything on the internet then keep quiet when there is an issue that concerns islam. Is it that we are afraid of what some people will say?

alaruba, alamisi etc are what Yorubas use for their everyday communication. Only people who learnt yoruba at school know what you wrote above. they had to coin those words.they are not indigenous ways to it.

It is obviously criminal to give a false information about a goods to the consumer. It is even more severe in this case selling "used" as "new" which I'm very sure yourself will feel defrauded if you were the victim. You are right, it is better to acknowledge that your iman has droped, then work on it and pray to Allah to help you elevate your iman. But people tend to deceive themselves that they are "modrates" and that they have to make islam appealing. They do this by doing what non muslims and their fellow low iman muslims will commend and not what Allah wants from them. May Allah guide us.
