You are wrong. There should be no election in the first place. The party in power do not need to contest against anyone.

...or maybe you are right. Igbos should troop out en masse and dutifully cast their votes to whoever their generous host ask them to cast their votes for.

What kind of split heads and necrotic brains do we have in Nigeriahuh
That's why I said you people lack tacts, what you are saying is different from what you people are doing in Lagos.

Giving a block vote to the opposition in your host State, Fielding an Igbo candidate in an opposition party and making sure he wins in your dominated areas within your host State is not wise in any way. You are simply sending a very wrong signal to your host government. Any sane people will try their best to clip your wings since you have declared hostility against your benevolent host...

But what do I know! It seems the Igbos are on a different level when it comes to logic.

I still don't understand why a people will lack tacts like most Igbos.

What he is saying is that nobody will blame you for voting your interest in the Presidential election, but when it comes to elections in your host State, supporting the party in power is the best for you

PoliticsHow They Stand by seguun(op): 8:04am On Feb 26, 2019
HOW THEY STAND

Atiku won in the whole of South East (Anambra, Enugu, Ebonyi, Abia, Imo) though PMB also managed to garner enough votes across the zone.

In the South West (Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Ekiti, Ondo, Osun) apart from Ondo and Oyo, PMB cleared the rest with a wide margin.

In the North Central (Benue, Kwara, FCT, Nassarawa, Niger, Kogi, Plateau), North West (Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Sokoto, Zamfara) and North East (Yobe, Taraba, Gombe, Adamawa, Borno, Bauchi) PMB got 80% votes in all.

South South ( Rivers, Cross Rivers, Delta, Bayelsa, Edo, Akwa-Ibom) is the home of PDP Atiku apart from Edo where PMB won with a slim margin.

For PMB, the election in the South West cleared the whole of South East while that of North Central cleared that of South South.

North West and North East is the determine factor. These zones is where PMB finally nailed the PDP Atiku with a wide margin.

At the end, APC PMB is declared winner over PDP Atiku.

You can take this result to the bank, anyday, anytime.
If you don't know, now you know.

PoliticsRe: Did Emir Of Kano, Sanusi Ask Nigerians To Vote For Atiku? by seguun(m): 1:53am On Feb 21, 2019
If the Emir really said this, then he is surely not speaking from the Islamic point of view... Because Islamically, a leader that lacks integrity will eventually cause widespread injustice in the land which will ultimately destroy the state. While a leader with integrity will be guided by Allah and his land and people will be better off for it.

Also in the worldly sense of it, there is no way a leader will have capacity to govern right without integrity...his lack of integrity will make him corrupt and promote corruption in the country which will eventually consume such nation. Meanwhile a leader with integrity may simply hire the best brains in the country who have great capacity to govern to run his government for him. He only supervises them with his gift of integrity, while they(the ministers) also sit up knowing he will not hesitate to punish them if they misbehave...

So like I said, if the Emir actually said this, then I'm very very disappointed in him.

Same applies to very black males too.

PoliticsWhy The Nigeria's Justice System is Defective by seguun(op): 4:27pm On Aug 13, 2018
We wonder why our justice system is flawed...The statue of a woman symbolises emotion, the sword symbolises punishment, the blindfold symbolises illogicality and unobjectivity.

The scale is useless if you cannot see what you are weighing, when you are only interested in punishment the scale is useless, and a naturally emotional being cannot be the symbol of justice.

Incidentally, Nigeria's justice system behaves exactly like what symbolise it operations. It's so sad really.

You can't trust the Amerikans. History is replete with the betrayal & backstabbing of the Amerikans.

Trump pulling out of the JCPOA with Iran is one of such examples.

Amerika also pulling out of the ABM Treaty in 2002, well, simply because she thought Russia had become a rusty-old bucket is another pointer.

Infact, if I were Kim, I would insist that meeting room be changed. Who knows? CIA might have done their thing. An enemy they've been hunting for years coming to them on a platter.

And that pen could have been laced with a deadly chemical weapon - with Trump having the antidote.

But what I still can't wrap my head around is why Kim would give up her nuclear arsenal for a snake like Amerika - seeing how Saddam & Ghadafi were butchered.

I sincerely hope this is just a charade designed for the cameras.
The North Koreans clearly differentiate between the denuclearization of the Korean peninsula and the denuclearization of the North Korea...while they agree to the former, the later is a no go area as that is basically the only leverage they have.

The agreement for talks itself is informed by the fact that they now see themselves as a nuclear state that is no more a push over. More like see themselves as equals with other world powers.

The nuclear program was started by Kim's grandfather, followed by his own father and continued by himself..there is no way all that will be traded for a sudden change of mood by America.
CultureRe: Oluwo Of Iwo, Akanbi, Becomes Emir, Drops Title by seguun(m):
It's very simple , let the Afobajes (king makers) install an Oniwo of Iwoland since the idiot has now turned to an Emir. The Monarch in Iwoland is traditionally called Oluwo. So technically, the Oluwo title is now vacant and the Afobajes should exercise their duty by installing an Oluwo to the throne.

The official title of the Iwo Monarch recognized by the Osun state government is Oluwo of Iwoland. Therefore, whoever is now installed as the Oluwo will be recognized as the true Monarch of the Iwo people.

Also I trust the council of Yoruba Obas as they will only recognize the Oluwo of Iwoland instead of the mumu Emir.

That stupid guy just shot himself on the foot.

TravelRe: What Is The Best And Cheapest State In Nigeria To Start Up Life? by seguun(m): 12:36pm On Nov 30, 2017
SAVAGEBETS:
Emm, as much as I appreciate the effort you put into this response about ibadan I must say virtually everything here is a false. I lived in ibadan from 2015 till I relocated December 28 2016, my friend did same too, I'll make this as short as possible.

I have lived almost everywhere in this country and for the Op let me say this Ibadan it's not cheap, at least not a place to start up life. You want a cheap place to start up life? pick any state in the the middle belt or North central. I lived at Omolayo Estate Akobo and during my time there I found the following.
#Ibadan is big yes.
#Transportation in Ibadan is not cheap, example I went from akobo to palms shopping mall to get something which I still didn't find and back home and that cost me 800 Naira to and fro. My cousin lives at Akingbile and going to visit him gulps about 1k. Ibadan lacks good road network do a journey that should take 15mins takes 45.
#There's no light generally in ibadan, if you want to enjoy light make sure you rent a house in an area where at least 80% of the inhabitants use prepaid meter example from general gas down to ojurin and here's why, Nepa sends light to such places cos if they don't people won't exhaust their units and reload and they need them to so we almost always had light at akobo and if we didn't then we know there's really no light in ibadan.
Now Op I hope you're Yoruba and if you're not I hope yoh can speak it fluently if not please forget yorubaland if it's not Lagos, yah y'all can have my head for that but I'll say it, they can discriminate for Africa and they'll rub it at your face while at it, to an average Yoruba man only three tribes exists, if you're not Yoruba you better be Hausa and if you're not then forget it "omo Igbo ni yen" and most of em just don't like an igbo person, once you're classified igbo threat level goes up, but the exposed and well travelled ones are very good to deal and work with. Not being able to speak the language fluently automatically drops your chances and position in the pecking order even if you're the most qualified in a formal environment.

Accommodation is not cheap if you want a sane environment with light, there's no such thing as a room self contain outside school area, and crime rate is high in the school area, your house can be burgled between yoh going to church and getting back in the afternoon and same goes for other areas too cos there people run when there's a security threat for fear of reprisals unlike the South or east where they mobilise and apprehend. Also what they call self contain is you having your own room with a personal toiletif you get the masters bedroom in a flat or a shared toilet, such will set you back minimum 130k to 170k.

I'm currently in Minna 17th state for almost a year and I can tell you it's your best bet if you're starting out, you can scout for jobs in Abuja and kaduna from here. Here I rented a standard room and parlour self contain apartment in a fenced secure compound with water in town for 80k tho the other two tenants who joined paid 100k do landlord had reviewed his price I guess, it's peaceful here, I work online so I can live anywhere I want. No religious crises here, it's the most peaceful of the North central state. It can be boring cos it's not crowded and hot tho.
dazall. Worthy mention are Yola, Benin, Ilorin,Makurdi,Jalingo, jos and generally middle belt and North central states.
Don't let jealousy and tribal bigotry becloud your reasoning, there are many millionaires in Ibadan and Osun state. Moreover, the OP doesn't have a big budget and people are recommending places he can live comfortably even with his small financial status. There are tons of non Yorubas including Igbos living their dreams in those Southwestern cities you try to downgrade, clearly out of envy. And these include those who cannot even say a word in Yoruba. It is an established truth that the Yorubas are the most accommodating in Nigeria and are not known for discrimination.

I think you should be more worried about why almost nobody including yourself recommended any part of the Southeast to the OP.

Benue herdsman commits suicide over death of 200 cows

John Charles

A 56-year-Fulani herdsman, Mohammed Abdulkadire, jumped into River Benue in the Logo Local Government Area of Benue State, SUNDAY PUNCH has learnt.

The National Coordinator of Miyietti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria, Benue State chapter, Garus Gololo, who spoke to our correspondent on Saturday, said the deceased committed suicide after he lost 200 of his cows to hunger and lack of water.

The Benue State Government had, on November 1, commenced the implementation of its anti-open grazing law, leading to some herdsmen relocating to other states.

Gololo said since the commencement of the Benue anti-open grazing law, Fulani herdsmen had lost about 600 cows due to poor feeding and inaccessibility to water.

He lamented that Abdulkadire, who had 22 children, cried and jumped into the river out of frustration when he discovered that 200 out of his 500 cows had died where they were camped, looking for a means to relocate from Benue State.

The herdsmen’s leader said, “The man killed himself simply because there is no place for his cows to graze. He was to relocate to the Awe LGA of Nasarawa State but information got to us that the area was occupied and no herdsman or herdsmen should cross over to the area again.

“We are calling on the Federal Government to intervene to quickly make provision for herdsmen in Benue State before they lose everything they have.”

When contacted, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Moses Yamu, told SUNDAY PUNCH that the suicide had not been reported.

PoliticsRe: Falana Seeks Rejection Of Morocco’s Application To ECOWAS by seguun(m):
Falana is right, this is a very dangerous threat to Nigeria. Their aims are mainly to:

Rival Lagos in terms of economy; Lagos been the the 6th largest economy in Africa is now attracting an international interest. Morocco's aim is to be able to have access to other West African markets which Lagos currently solely services I.e they currently do not enjoy free movement of goods and persons in West Africa unlike ECOWAS members. Once they have access to free movements, they will flood the Markets with cheap EU goods. So all our West African customers that come to Oke Arin, Idumota and the rest will reduce drastically and that will be a bad news for Lagos and in extension a very bad news for Nigeria.

With time they will command more respect than Nigeria in West Africa as Francophone countries are more in ECOWAS. Thereby rivaling Nigeria in terms of decision making which may ultimately raise up tensions in West Africa.

Also security wise, if they have free movement within ECOWAS it means their citizens can now migrate to any part of West Africa unhindered including harmless ones and very dangerous Isis fighters who are losing ground currently in the Middle East and looking for safe haven. With our weak defense, they will make Boko Haram stronger as ever.

All the small arms and ammunition that find their ways into North Africa through the wars in the Middle East will eventually end up in West Africa as a result of this same free movement. So our criminals and cultist groups can now have more arms to wreck havoc.

The list goes on and on...THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS MOVE!!

BusinessRe: What They Never Told Us About Working Hard In This Present Age by seguun(m):
majekdom2:
i understand your point. smart work does not exist in the dictionary. Hard work connotes diligence. Whilst smart work means working intelligently. They both mean working to be successful. They both have the same goal. Smart work is a way of telling people to get intelligent with their efforts. It's a slang by motivtional speaker. It cannot replace the place of hard work or being diligent
Even in some years back you cannot find "SMARTPHONE" in the dictionary. As humans progress in evolution and development of our intellectual capacities, new terms are formed and ideas are postulated.

Different people sell oranges in the traffic for instance in scorching heat, that is hard work already. While everybody sells the traditional/conventional way, a guy decided to be different by probably sealing his oranges in beautiful nylons and stick a kind of label on them. You don't need any dictionary to tell you this guy is SMART. He works hard like every other guy inside traffic...but his smartness stands him out.

So as I said you may work hard while you work smart too but you may not be working smart but only working hard. Invariably everytime you find smartness in a work, it is SMART WORK! If it's just 'typical', my brother! You are WORKING HARD.

is there any success without an extra effort. There is no success without hard work and your so called smart work. Getting education is an extra effort to some because they either have to cut spending and spare their time to get that knowledge... to them they are working hard to get smart !Again, they mean the same thing.
HARD WORK and SMART WORK don't mean the same...You WORK HARD may not necessarily mean you WORK SMART while you WORK SMART means you definitely WORK HARD too. While one may not include the other, the other always includes both. I hope you get me!
