your wife can lodge in her application, just provide her with the necessary documents |
surf http://www.nhcuk.org/ for more information about Nigerian passport and visas. As for your wife, she got to be living and working in Nigeria for 5years before been eligible for Nigeria citizenship. My advice will be to apply for visas for both of them (wife and daughter) after your arrival in Nigeria, get a passport for your daughter (easier and cheaper) and get a Nigeria temporary residence permit for your wife, i think its valid for 5years, so she wont be applying for any visas. You might have to come to London to apply for the visas as Nigeria house cant be trusted with documentation, trust me Hope this help! ![]() |
na the man wey backdated his arrival stamp but was later arrested in london on driving offences with false identity, VISA REFUSED! |

how much does your wife earn? have u appealed against the decision anyway? goodluck |
@Emuche My advice for you is to come Nigeria with him, get married and apply for spouse visa but i hope you got documentary evidence of your 2years relationship. As for his 'refusals and overstaying issues' these will not stand against him; Reference: (7B) The applicant has previously breached the UK's immigration laws by overstaying; breaching a condition attached to his leave; being an illegal entrant; using deception in a visa application, leave to enter or remain (whether successful or not). UNLESS the applicant overstayed for 28 days or less and left the UK voluntarily, not at the expense (directly or indirectly) of the Secretary of State; used deception in an application for entry clearance more than 10 years ago; left the UK voluntarily, not at the expense (directly or indirectly) of the Secretary of State, more than 12 months ago; left the UK voluntarily, at the expense (directly or indirectly) of the Secretary of State, more than 5 years ago; was removed or deported from the UK more than 10 years ago; was unaware that the documents submitted or representations made were false; was previously issued a visa in the knowledge of the immigration breach; or was in the UK illegally on or after 17 March 2008 and left the UK before 1 October 2008; They were refused LTR as a student solely on the basis that they made an out of time application; The applicant has been accepted by UK Border Agency as a victim of trafficking. Yes - ECM (7C) NB - wef 1 July 2008, under paragraph 320(7C) the provisions of 320(7B) will not apply to: Those applying for settlement categories to join family members in the UK or to exercise rights of access to a child; Those accompanying family members who will be submitted for settlement on arrival; Those applying under family reunion; Those whose breach of immigration law took place when they were under 18yrs. If an application has been refused in these categories between 1 April and 13 May 2008 and the reasons for refusal were solely under paragraph 320(7B), the decision should be revoked and then issued. read more: http://www.ukvisas.gov.uk/en/ecg/refusals/refusalgeneralgrounds Hope this helps! |

THIS SHOULD BE HELPFUL! Little Said Four case studies of recent UKvisas successes: Ghana An applicant applied for settlement in the UK to join his British wife. However, checks showed that he had applied previously for a UK visa in Lagos claiming to be a Nigerian national born in Lagos. Furthermore, biometric checks revealed that he had previously sought to remain in the UK indefinitely, used a different identity and date of birth, this time as a Sierra Leonean national. He was arrested by the local authorities in Accra. Islamabad A biometrics check helped to identify a Pakistani passport holder who made an undisclosed asylum claim as an Afghani national. The applicant had travelled to the UK on a number of occasions, but whilst in the UK he had made an asylum claim using a different identity and nationality. His application was refused. Lagos An applicant applied for a visa, claiming never to have been to the UK before. He stated that he had never travelled outside of Nigeria before, but a biometric match revealed that he had previously been to the UK and his fingerprints had been taken at Gatwick whilst travelling under a different name. His application was refused. Abuja An applicant stated on his visa application form that he had never visited the UK before. But biometrics fingerscan records held in the UK indicate that he had in fact, previously been in the UK and sought to claim asylum. The information revealed as a result of the biometric check lead to the application being refused. |
