Do you want to buy it or have you bought one? How much are they selling it? I want to buy as well |
Joeblis: Ouch!! Is it really that painfull biggoted curmudgeon??Hahaha, i touched a raw nerve. Watching Patrick Obahiagbon on tv hasn't helped but damaged you. |
Joeblis: All this guys castigating nigerian universitys should be really ashamed of themselves...they'll go an extra mile just to say bad tinz about em...pls this topic is not about comparing,so stick to the topic plz. Some of us are castigating some Nigerian Universities because after spending 4 or 5 years in a University, you should know it is Universities for plural and not Universitys. You should be ashamed of yourself. My guess is that they let you in without passing your English SSCE/GCSE. ![]() |
obadiah777: i was actually born in englandHow does showing me a picture of a passport prove to me that it is genuine or that it is actually yours? |
obadiah777: some of these folks have a virulent form of self hatred that cant be cured. i see their types all the time. this is how their life isWhat happened to your Visa? Was it revoked You mentioned things like people paying taxes, MOT, road tax, Council tax, water bill etc. At least these services are provided for the people paying for them, so what is the problem? Do you prefer to live in a place where there is no MOT and trucks run into people/ cars every day of the week? Do you prefer to see your fellow Country men/women fetching water from their neighbours when you can easily pay for the service and you have constant water supply? Do you prefer a place where there is no road tax/ contribution and your road is littered with potholes, resulting in you taking your car(s) for repair every fortnight? Do you prefer a place where you don't need to worry about having a generator set or the extra wahala of getting fuel for your generator? These are choices that are available to people here. I for one would prefer to pay for these services and enjoy them. There is no point stressing yourself over many things that shouldn't be a pain. There is a price to pay, but it is well worth it. |
obadiah777: yeah say hello to your white massa for me. tell him to clean his a-ss real well because every time you speak your breath smell like his a-ss from all the butt kissing you have been doing.Obadiah 777. The US & the UK did you a favour by sending you back home. No doubt you would have been sectioned and cost them a fortune in terms of treatment. They saw this coming and they opted for the cheaper option Chai!!! I feel for you. May God help you sha. Still hopeful about your case, but you need help. You contradicted yourself some many times, you should just shut it. |
What is £££ rate pls? |
violent: So you actually don't believe majority are foolish and are being deceived by clever marketing materials?Clever marketing materials or not, they are well taught over here. The nonsense that happens at most Nigerian universities do not happen here. Most student would prefer an institution where you do not have to buy a bag of rice for your lecturer to pass his/her course. Certainly not a University where you need to buy hand-out to pass the exam If the standard of living in the UK is much better than that of Nigeria and the University standards are roughly the same, I don't think you would find many student coming here to study. Obviously, the University standards here are not comparable to that of Nigerian ones, hence you have a high number of students who can afford it coming to study here in the UK |
buchibabe: Dis uk sef dia own is too much. Haba! D rate at which dey now abhor foreigners, its as if dey dnt even wantany livin foreigner on there soil. Just making tins difficult for pplee. So wat now bcoms d fate of all dose students in dat sch dat must hv paid thru dia noses to gain admissionAs for hoarding jobs for their citizens, every country does that. They may not say it publicly, but they have a way of doing it. As for you saying their citizens are not ready to work, that is a big lie. Yes you do have the ones who are not ready to work and just live off the state benefits, but that is just a small minority. If you work in the city or in the big banks etc, you will see them working. Perhaps you are doing mundane work which most of their citizens do not want to do, it is easy from that perspective to say they do not want to work. Perhaps you should take a train from Hertfordshire or Kent to see how many of them come into London everyday to work. You need to say what is right. Guess you are not the only one saying what is not right, as a lot of White British also think black people are lazy and do not want to work, we all know that is not correct. |
obadiah777: well i have studied in america england and nigeria and i can honestly say that the education i got in nigeria is better followed by the one in america. the one in the UK is shytttt. You must be deceiving yourself. If you are 100% right about that, why would people from abroad be paying millions of Naira or foreign currencies to come and study in the UK? Either they are all foolish or being deceived, or either you are blatently deceiving yourself. I like to believe the latter is right |
@ thelastPope: See your life too? After you will start to post rubbish like you are educated. You cant even understand a simple article. Or you dont know how to read? Illiterate!Must you abuse people, why can't you be constructive with your criticism? You spoilt my morning with your destructive criticism which was unnecessary and uncalled for to say the least. If you don't agree with someone's view, just make it known to them in a nice and polite way. Thanks |
Where is this area in Kuje, how close is it to KOCHAKO? Also, instead of selling 10 hectares, can you sell 5 hectares? |
Please also provide Naira to ££££ rate please. Thanks |
Siena: Segzy, your car looks good, seems to be in great shape.Siena, rather than speculating, allow the person with the facts to disclose the information. I appreciate that you know a lot about cars, but don't go ahead speculating. Yes the pictures was taken in the UK, but the car had been registered in the UK with a UK number, nevertheless it origin was from Poland. It was never converted. It has since been sold anyway. Saying this is a UK -spec Rover 75 was inaccurate. No offense taken, but just pointing it out that your assumptions were wrong. |
What is the latest Naira to GBP rates please? |
It affects the common man by reducing the cost of importation, make goods from abroad cheaper, as we do not manufacture many things at home. Less time it takes to import goods you need for your business will help your business and your annal turnover. Say for example a person selling cars, if he gets hold of them 1 week after arriving at the port, there is a chance he would have sold some and ordered for more before his friend who ordered for the same set of cars but has to wait for 4 weeks to get hold of his cars. It reduces the time it takes to bring spart parts, products etc into Nigeria, therefore opening up opportunities to invest in Nigeria. The easier it is for a company which brings most of its raw products from abroad, the more likely they will want to do business in Nigeria. This in turn helps the local economic in terms of job creation etc. it makes life easier for the ordinary Nigerian who being slapped with different charges when they have to relocate or move a lot of stuffs back to Nigeria, all these shipping companies/agents slap a heavy price on these Nigerians and their usual excuse is - it is hard to do business in Nigeria -they say this because of all these agencies that make their lives difficult by not necessarily following the correct procedures but trying to extort money from these shipping companies. By making the process transparent and less cumbersome at the ports, Nigerians abroad who are willing to do business at home by sending stuff to sell, or to market, will be more encouraged if the clearing process is transparent and they know what the real cost implications are for their businesses, this will in turn help their families and friends at the very least. |
@hardboy: you wrote "And for those that may think this is out of frustration, i consistently have valid visas of some countries including UK but i discourage my bosses from sending me on programmes there, i will rather do Ghana or SA. For those of you living fine in the UK, i wish Y'll well, buh if d heat ever gets very bad, home is best and we will never send you out to d cold". I repeat, even if they pay for these visas for you, surely you wouldn't want to waste your times getting these visas if you don't need them. The thing is that you are trying to give some false impression here and are trying to justify it. Anyway, I don't intend to come down to your level insulting everyone, I read something that sounds dodgy to me and I raised it. Anyway, why do you guys always think that someone who raises a valid point or doesn't agree with you is living a lowly life in the UK, or abroad? When someone like JUSTWISE raises valid points, you guys just jump on the bandwagon and say that he is living in the council flats and blah blah blah. Utter Rubbish!!! @Paris10 - "This is where the Indians and Pakistanis have more advantage than the Nigerians. They'll never allow their own to be deported. They don't criticise nor do they blame their illegal brothers and sisters for being illegal. They act, they find a way to regularise their people's papers." I strongly refute the statement you made here. I believe you don't watch any of the immigration programmes on tv. They don't have any control over immigration, like Nigerians, Chinese or any other race, if caught, they are deported. Please produce evidence to back this up. Yes there are some things they can do to give them an advantage over Nigerians, eg they have more shops and are more business oriented than Nigerians, so they may be able to offer employment to their compatriots, but to say they never allow their own to be deported is not correct. |
@Hardboy- they made a valid point, if you hate the British so much, why would you go and waste your precious time going through the Visa Application process. It doesn't make sense dude. |
You need to even ask yourselve some more questions to help you narrow down your choice What programming Language is easy to Learn? What programming Language is here to stay and will still be around in 10 years? What programming Language is in high demand in the Job market? What programming Language most people around you are using? (Or that resources are readily available on the internet) What programming Language is Ubiquitous? Note: There is no point learning VB, Fortran, or Pascal when most people are moving away from these languages - as they are either no longer supported or there are 101 newer & better ways to develop an application/software. You want to be in tune or ahead of the market. Pls note there is no point starting with a Scripting Language If you are committed and want to really want to learn a programming Language. Yes Scripting languages are easier, but you may pick them up along the way. Just decide, and then focus on whatever you decide. There are too many libraries and frameworks that you may need to learn to work efectively with the Chosen Language of yours. So my advice is when you make up your mind, go for it. C# or Java is not bad, depending on what you want to do. Do not waste your time learning Visual Basics that is no longer support by microsoft, pick one Prog. Language and then be an expert in it. Hope this helps |
kabna:It is good strategy if you cannot develop yourself to move close to someone who can develop you/ help you develop. Nothing is bad about that, I think you should try to live in Russia. Your thinking of the UK might be different after spending 1 year there. The same America you are talking about is a police state, if you are not happy where you are, why don't you move to somewhere else where you would be happy? |
It is so true. What I would say, is that most guys find it easier to say Yes Ma/Madam to a lady if she is good looking. I do it, and I have seen a lot of guys do it as well. I 've noticed that ladies do it to Men that are good looking too. |
That simply means he will ban the supply/importation of UPS for 8 years ![]() |
Great Idea, don't just limit it to programmers. As you grow, you will probably realise you need Designers, Business Analysts, Testers, PMs etc. Having said that, you can just start with programmers for the time being and see how it goes. You don't need a big community, three or four people could start something. No harm in getting bigger, there are advantages and disadvantages of having a big group. But it is good as you are looking at exchanging ideas and bouncing off knowledge from one angle to another. You could use tools like JAbber before setting up a community forum. Of course you have got Niaraland, as long as you get permission - which you have done from the beginning. I think the Programmers/Developers need to wake up and do not let people foreigners take away all the jobs they should be doing from them. |
Hugoboi:You are wrong on this one and probably misinformed. Ofcourse they(the Englishs) splash out money and buy anything they want really. They are spoilt for choice and use that to their advantage. It is true that Nigerians tend to buy TM rather than other brands, and lets face it, TM appears to be cheaper. Just like we do for Toyota and Honda (I know it partly because of affordability and Maintenance cost). The same way a lot of people ignore other makes of cars and tell you all they want is a Honda or Toyota is the same way a lot of Naijas go for TM Lewin for their shirts. People should wake up to other brands jare. M&S top of the range shirts are much more expensive(I am not saying they are nicer), and guess who buys their shirts, the English. Anyway, don't just assume, have your facts before you say something |
Go for a programming Language that is here to stay. Something like JAVA, C#, Vb.net, Asp.net etc, These prog. languages are here to stay. Fortran is dead - well a dying breed. I can't understand why it is still being taught, maybe because the tutors/Lecturers are too lazy to pick up new languages. Read computer Journals online, and see what is hot in the Market these days. If you are keen to try something new, you could look at Adobe flex and so on. Say no to Fortran - way too old |
One thing you need to get right from the onset is that a Software Development company is not only made up of Developers and Programmers. You need more than that to be successful. You will need a Project manager, Technical Architects, Business Analysts, Analysts, Testers, Designers etc. Coding is just as aspect of Software Development |
@ Moderators I don't post a lot on here, but I didn't know why my post was removed. I challenge anyone to clarify what was wrong with my post, i took a lot of my time to write the post, why it was removed is beyond me. Was the Moderator high on something? |
Where did they get this Kaita, the guy cannot pass, cannot tackle |
What Poor Poor performance by Nigeria. Zambia has been the better side . |
Nigeria is just not playing well, there was one or two good moves in the game, and that was it. You got to say it was a poor 1st half, we lack ideas to be honest, and I have to blame the players a little bit, but ultimately, the coach has to carry the lion share of the blame because it is his job put things in order. Odewinge has been disappointing |
Best Way is to read up, practise and practise. Then you can contribute on some open source project. Another good thing to do is to join a good Java Forum where you post your questions and get answers. Even better, become friends with other Programmers, you will learn one or two things from them |
as are all my siblings. you cant deport a man from where he was born.
Is uk d only country affected by d meltdown ? D way dey hv bn deportin pple. Lately is unimaginable.
