Amakavula: I know Nigeria will not miss me. About 200+ millions, you are much already so one extra liability wouldn't matter. I have had my hopeful moments, and thought once , that there was a chance for this country.
But I just can't take this anymore. Can't take the excuse of lazing around while my mate build the next iteration of the digital age.
I just can stand around as the next wave of progress hit the world and those with the critical mass of facilities can afford to take part and improve their lots.
Everwhere great and decent opportunities excludes the country, companies are leaving power is still a struggle and almost every single youth have now abandoned music -- then was football -- as a source to wealth. Now "we'' all blog !
I'm tired of laughing about the situation and desperately need to improve my lot and pursue my creative ethos. I hate the feeling of hopelessness. I don't want a job, I want opportunities; to learn, improve skill and also work.
I once called a client -- on directions from another -- for a pitch for a design project, he just blocked my number and only after the referral made things clear that I heard from him. Reason; he doesn't do business with "Nigeria" . On freelance site too, similar story.
The digital revolution is creating Jobs and expanding quickly. what's our government's response to it ? They talk about getting skills, skills! in the digital age , which depends largely on power. Most at times comes 30mins in a month !
Nigerian IP is blocked to all most legit businesses home and abroad. And all we hear are looting and corruption which we have some worth taken as a comic relief, to the detriment of our future.
I have never stolen or defrauded anyone before but not suffer for what I never committed. And the only consolation is what this pastor " Of the really famous church " says about the prospect of the new year. Ignoring how wrong they have always been.
please don't mention God or prayers, you should keep them. They would serve you better. I respect your God but not interested in the probability of serendipity; what you call miracles.
I have thought it over , Yes I don't want to be Nigerian again. I am tired oooh. As least being stateless brings a better chance of asylum abroad. please help. Wow! What a piece! Babe, I can already feel your super intellect overflowing and bombarding my senses and touching me in places in where only people have come close. Keep the faith alive. Don't give up on Nigeria because we need conscious and thinking human beings like you who can clearly see the 'big picture' to get through this ignominious stage in our country. I wouldn't mind if we can connect because I like progressive, entrepreneurial minded and well articulated individuals like you, most especially, when they just happen to be females. Looking forward to our new found friendship. Wishing you a Happy 2018. |

1nigeriamyfoot: heres my contribution, take away 20k from your 300k and take the remaining 280k to stanbic ibtc for a month fixed deposit. share 5k to the house because many of them will definitely waste it. use 7k to buy christmas dress for yourself. use 8k to buy christmas chicken and foodstuff for yourself, think about the business that you can do before your fixed deposit investment will mature. after that youve conclude on the business, try it with 30k and watch the outcome within a month, if its profitable then add 50k to it. if after 3months its still going greenish, add 100k to it and let 100k remain untouched in your bank account. am not an expert and have no business ideas that i can recommend but never follow the crowd. goodluck Academic adviser~~~ I troway salute!!! |

Family › Re: The Sad Truth Why So Many Youth Will Remain Poor by sekem(op): 1:42pm On Dec 11, 2017 |
Hi there chidichuddo,
Thank you for your interest.
If you went through the full post on my blog, I believe you must have seen where I promised to highlight more on the steps our youths can take to tackle this issue of engulfing poverty facing us a whole
But now you brought it up, let me give you an idea of what is coming
Now to tackle lack of exposure, one needs to develop a curious mind
It's as simple as that
Let me now throw some posers your way right now to get you thinking
How many business books have you read in the last three years?
How updated with information and current affairs are you?
What 10 businesses can you say are the hottest in the state where you reside right now?
What special talent or talents do you think you have and how can any of those talents be of help to some other person or people?
How can I use what I must have learnt at the university to help mankind?
What are the problems businesses in my area are facing and what could be done to overcome such problems?
What kind of business can I start with my 19,800 NYSC allawee?
And so many more questions of that nature...
You really need to start asking questions and start seeking their answers.
Concentrating just on the handicap you are facing such as low income, no support, no loans, no apartment, no nothing... will only dampen your spirit and fill your thoughts with unreasonable fears that will further hold you down.
A wise man once said, THINK AND GROW RICH... and it is true.
I wish you all the best in your struggles and hustle. |

Acidosis: Who told you she hasn't attacked her husband yet?
Those of you that take pleasure in criticizing these kind of women have never been in similar situations. I tell you, it is not always about the man. No responsible woman will watch another woman take over her home.
Go to google and search frustration-aggression or displacement theory
A frustrated woman under this condition will never fight her husband. It doesn't matter the level of epistles y'all post on Nairaland. According to the theory, a frustrated person will ONLY call for war against the weaker vessel. Women, in this instance, are the weaker vessels.
The only reason men fight their wives when they cheat is because the woman is the weaker one. Have you ever seen a man fight another stronger man (e.g. a soldier) for sleeping with his wife? No man will ever try that. When the actual source of the issue cannot be challenged, then the so called innocent one suffers.
If a man is disrespected and humiliated at his work, but cannot respond to this for fear of losing his job, he may go home and take his anger and frustration out on his family.
It is the same reason people up north suffers in the hand of boko haram. When the source of the frustration (government) cannot be challenged, the 'innocent' suffers. Thank you so much for putting a name to it. I used to think it was just a human tendency to always take on the easier opponent Now I know it is called frustration-aggression or displacement theory All thanks to you |
