I have a feeling it's something that has to do with a physical feature... You may be right about that physical feature. It has happened to me. There was a time I had this girl. She was a good girl. Very sensible. Goodnatured. Quite religious. Not demanding. And she easily understood me. People around thought we were a great match. But... I wasn't feeling so verve about the whole thing. Reason why? The girl was flat, if you know what I mean. I tried to convince myself that it is not really an issue but for where?!!! I couldn't blame her because it wasn't her fault. I am not perfect either. But we are who we are. Besides, there are some things you just can't tell someone to avoid shattering their self-esteem. So I dragged my feet. |

ModestGal: Bros thank you, can he just Start free and later upgrade when he has money? Of course!!! That's the usual way. You start small and then you begin to diversify as you progress. Your blog can mature to the extent that you will need to do a lot of customization and even include database stuff. In that case, you may be needing some WordPress plug-ins to get you going. In fact, the type of blog I earlier described is basically a content blog type. Most Blogger blogs are usually content blogs anyway. Therefore, it is also good to note before one ventures into blogging, he should also have a specified idea of the type of business or businesses he wants to accomplish with his blog. If the blog is strictly going to be for content, like most of our entertainment and gossip sites we see everyday, then there is no need in trying to spend a lot of money. Getting your blogger( i.e ..com) blog may just be all you need. |
Webmasters › Re: Total Cost In Creating A Blog by sekem: 8:37am On Feb 08, 2017 |
I spent $10.67 on the buying the domain name alone from namecheap.
The rest was totally free.
Hosting your site on blogger is totally free.
And then redirecting your .com domain name to your preferred domain name your bought from namecheap or any other domain name registrars is just about the only technicality involved.
Once you do that, nobody will ever know that your blog is actually a ..com blog unless you told them.
For example, lindaikeji..com redirects to lindaikejisblog.com.
Type lindaikeji..com into your URL and you will see it.
In other words, the only money Linda spends in running her blog is possibly the $13 annual domain name renewal.
The rest is totally free as in FREE!!!
So forget the word technicality, it only takes about twenty to sixty seconds to effect the redirection.
You can get yourself a free template. There are so many out there. Just go to Google and search for 'free blogger templates'.
Starting your blog is very simple.
But many people will still think it is a very difficult venture.
But then, that's exactly what ignorance can do to a lot of people. |

Tedassie: *********** During a robbery in Hong Kong, the bank robber shouted to everyone in the bank:
"Don't move. The money belongs to the Government. Your life belongs to you."
Everyone in the bank laid down quietly.
This is called "Mind Changing Concept” Changing the conventional way of thinking.
When a lady lay on the table provocatively, the robber shouted at her:
"Please be civilised! This is a robbery and not a rape!"
This is called "Being Professional”
Focus only on what you are trained to do!
When the bank robbers returned home, the younger robber (MBA trained) told the older robber (who has only completed Year 6 in primary school):
"Big brother, let's count how much we got."
The older robber rebutted and said:
"You are very stupid. There is so much money it will take us a long time to count. Tonight, the TV news will tell us how much we robbed from the bank!"
This is called "Experience”
Nowadays, experience is more important than paper qualifications!
After the robbers had left, the bank manager told the bank supervisor to call the police quickly. But the supervisor said to him:
"Wait! Let us take out $10 million from the bank for ourselves and add it to the $70 million that we have previously embezzled from the bank”. This is called "Swim with the tide”
Converting an unfavorable situation to your advantage!
The supervisor says: "It will be good if there is a robbery every month."
This is called "Changing priority”
Personal Happiness is more important than your job”.
The next day, the TV news reported that $100 million was taken from the bank. The robbers counted and counted and counted, but they could only count $20 million.
The robbers were very angry and complained:
"We risked our lives and only took $20 million. The bank manager took $80 million with a snap of his fingers. It looks like it is better to be educated than to be a thief!"
This is called "Knowledge is worth as much as gold". Crave for knowledge.. I love this. |

NgeneUkwenu: Buhari wasn't president when factories in Ikeja began browning off and selling their facilities to churches.
He wan't here when 80% of SME died away and the rest went on life support.
Buhari wasn't president when landlords were being watched charging rent in US dollars and stores were selling in hard currency.
Buhari wasn't president when wheat farming collapsed and Cote d'Ivore overtook us in Cocoa production.
Buhari didn't destroy Iwopin paper mill or ALSCON in Ikot-Abasi, a single factory that at a point brought in 30% equivalent of what we got from oil.
Buhari didn't take us from net exporter of oil palm products to lazy importers of the same.
Buhari didn't make us importers of petrol and diesel nor is he responsible for killing of the textile industry.
He didn't destroy our forest resources or ran down power stations like Egbin until only three out of twelve turbines work.
People shout policy but there is no policy that can transform a 'post-war' economic environment with the snap of the finger and government should just tell the people that this thing is what it is.
Government also has to water down expectations on oil prices ever rising above 55 dollars because it is just not possible in the age of Shale and renewables.
This nation is cornered and it has no choice than to reform it's lifestyles and go back to work.
It has to reform it's justice system such that it can jail it's thieves and reward those who do things right. We are refusing to allow hardship nudge us in the right direction but prefer to explain our woes as a personal failure of Buhari to draft policy from sheer air.
They were trampling people to death on job queues before he came on board.
Where are your farms to save you from food importation or your refineries to save you from seeking dollars to import fuel?
Where are your schools to educate your children without sending them to foreign universities when you can afford it?
He isn't two years in control yet and I believe he deserves a little more understanding given the gradients of the point where he took over.
Buhari met all these things that way, plus a devastating war that devoured the nation from a region and we have the choice of working with him to restore and rebuild the country or allow ourselves to get us into false sentiments, take advantage of us to return us to the years of the locust. Ngene ngene! Ngene nwanne m! Don't mind the charlatans and marauders in sheep clothing They think we don't understand their game. They are neck deep in corruption They are so used to it Buhari is like a stumbling block to them Now they are ganging up and using every means to stop him. Yes, corruption is fighting back!!! Unfortunately, the wasted Nigerian youths whose future is at stake here cannot even see that buhari is fighting for them Their myopic sensibility makes them incapable of seeing the big picture: a better Nigeria where everyone has equal and fair chance rather than a Nigeria where man-know-man is the only way of survival. Like Sunny Okosun said, Nigeria is now or never!!! |

maclatunji: Remember this. https://www.nairaland.com/3608295/10-things-note-before-protest?
What 2face now needs to do is to use his star power positively to encourage Nigeria's youths to change from whiners to achievers.
He can for example partner with the Benue State government to establish 'One Love Farms' where agriculture is carried out on a commercial scale with value-added services to products from it. He can get additional support from already established federal government schemes for agriculture.
He can invest in social startups that involve technology like Akon is doing to Light-up Africa http://akonlightingafrica.com/
These and other things he can do to inspire millions of youths in Nigeria and beyond to positivity. Spot on! That's just the type of revolution i.e. industrial revolution, I am expecting from our youths. And not merely going out there to waste their energy in a venture that will certainly yield nothing at the end of the day. The youths of this country must wake up now. It's high time the youth of this country learn to take their own destiny in their own hands. Let our youths start thinking and acting proactively rather than waiting for the government, most especially, now that it is very much obvious that the government have failed them. Each and every youth should look inwards now and ask themselves this: WHAT IS THAT THING THAT I HAVE THAT I CAN OFFER RIGHT NOW IN MAKING NIGERIA BETTER? |

For the record, the botched protest, which I refer as jamboree was aimless and tactless. It lacked core objective and was highly bereft of purpose.
