Word coming out of Otta, Ogun State indicates that former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, was in the early hours of this morning, whisked away from his Otta Farm by Men of the Nigerian Police Force led by the infamous CP Mbu…Image below
His arrest may be connected to his recent disparaging comments directed to President Goodluck Jonathan.
Eye Witness accounts say as early as 5:00 AM this morning, a combined force of Nigerian Army Officers and Policemen led by CP Mbu, stormed the Otta Farm residence of the former President, on “orders from above”, and after a brief scuffle (during which Chief Obasanjo kicked 5 officers in the balls and punched CP Mbu in the throat), he was eventually subdued and whisked into a waiting Armored Personnel Carrier.

While nothing has been heard from Chief Obasanjo since, he released a scathing statement via his spokesperson directed once again to President Jonathan:
“You think you can hold me down? You must be joking. I will continue to stand for proper democracy. I will not be silenced! Somebody tell Moji to bring food for me as soon as possible”.

The President meanwhile, has refused to comment on the recent development. However, his Aide, Mr Reuben Abati has been recorded saying “There is no problem. Just a random security check. Baba is fine and will be released soon”.

politics is a game- a game of power and interests. now president johnathan is holding the power and buhari wants it. the propaganda has been on- corruption and insecurity. election is here. the chances are in favor of buhari to win. but gej has got a lot of power. he's got options. and i can assure you, handing over power to buhari is not an option.

he's got the power to postpone the elections in a situation where there is civil unrest- he has played that card.

has he got the power to remove jega? yes. but will he play that card? i doubt.

The Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Attahiru Jega, has concluded a briefing meeting with 25 civil society groups in Abuja Saturday informing them that all security agencies in the country have indicated to him, in writing, that they are not available to support the elections planned for February 14

Mr. Jega who had an earlier meeting with political parties is rounding up another meeting with his 36 resident commissioners now on what will amount to an INEC position on whether to postpone or go ahead with the elections.

Insiders at the meeting said “its pretty much a done deal at this point that the lections will be postponed” and many of the attendees told PREMIUM TIMES they were shell-shocked and depressed at what they characterize as “a clear case of political blackmail of the state against civil society.”

Jibrin Ibrahim, a leading African election expert and senior fellow at the Centre for Democracy and Development, CDD, in Abuja, who was at the meeting, said Mr. Jega told the meeting that security operatives from all the agencies told INEC that they were commencing a six weeks special operations against Boko Haram insurgents in the north eastern corridors of the country and would rather not be distracted by the elections.

Mr. Jega announced that the security forces also said the operations are due to commence on February 14, the date INEC had planned for the presidential and other federal elections.

This decision, by the security forces, successfully renders INEC’s hitherto insistence to go ahead with the elections a risky venture.

To even collect ballot papers from their storage in the Central bank for the elections will still require security escort, which apparently is now unavailable in the light of the move by the security forces.

News just in of Microsoft's latest venture: Microsoft Corporation has taken another step toward dominating every aspect of American life with the introduction of Contraceptive98, a suite of applications designed for users who engage in sex. Microsoft has been a pioneer in peer-to-peer connectivity and plug and play.

It believes these technologies will give it substantial leverage in penetrating the copulation enhancement market. The product addresses two important user concerns: the need for virus protection and the need for a firewall to ensure the non-propagation of human beings.

The Contraceptive98 suite consists of three products: Condom98, DeFetus 1.0 (from Sementec), and AIDScan 2.1 (from Norton Utilities). A free copy of Intercourse Explorer 4.0 is bundled in the package. The suite also comes in two expanded versions. Contraceptive98 Professional is the Client/Server edition, for professionals in the sexual services sector. Contraceptive98 Small Business Edition is a package for startups, aimed at the housewife and gigolo niches.

While Contraceptive98 does not address nontraditional copulatory channels, future plug-ins are planned for next year.

OPERATION: Only one node in a peer-to-peer connection needs to install the package.

At installation, the Condom98 software checks for minimum hardware. If the user meets the requirements, the product installs and is sufficiently scaleable to meet most requirements. How can it be Transmitted? When an initial human is infected by Ebola virus via any of the means mentioned, human to human infection can occur in two ways namely:
Direct Transmission:
Touching
Biting
Kissing
Sexual Intercourse
Unsafe burial practices
Indirect Transmission
Surgical or medical instruments
Biological products such as blood, serum, tissues or organs.
Bedding or clothing
Eating or cooking utensils and so much more
Signs and Symptoms Symptoms of Ebola Virus Disease typically start two days to three weeks after contracting the the ebolavirus with the following:

eaten by bats
Cook food very well
Do not travel to areas where the disease is endemic
Stay away from any patient who may have the disease if an outbreak is suspected: do
not touch an infected person (dead or alive) or their body fluids (blood, vomit, faeces, urine etc.)
Listen to and follow directives issued by the Ministry of Health
For Health Care Workers
Protect yourself when handling infected animals/persons: Gloves and other appropriate
protectives should be worn when handling sick animals or their tissues.
Do not reuse protective equipments/clothing unless they have been properly disinfected
Procedures that can expose health workers to danger should be carried out under strict
and safe conditions
Infected people should be kept separate from other patients and healthy people as
much as possible.
