PoliticsRe: Ribadu Apologises To Police Over Sack, Rank, •psc Faults Apology Letter - Latest by selingel: 9:41pm On May 28, 2010
Cohomology:
Lawless Nigeria with even more hopeless police.

Why should Ribadu apologize? What did he do wrong that warrants any apology?

Did the president instruct him to apologize?

How dare that criminal outfit called the Nigerian Police Force (NPF), those retards that would murder a pregnant woman for N20, talk about "this would bring indiscipline into the police force"? Isn't indiscipline one of the fundamental traits of the NPF?

If the gang running the NPF refuse to implement the President's directives, then this is a clear case of insubordination of Jonathan Goodluck's authority?

Is this happening to JD because he's north from northern Nigeria?

Are the southern elements within the power hierarchy of the NPF too brainwashed to understand that northern elements will always comply with presidential directives when a northerner is president?

This is just typical Nigerian nonsense!
What does he want with a criminal outfit then? undecided

Soon, I will start a new thread titled, "Are Nigerians Biased Judges". This thread has shown that, there are many Nigerians that their sense of reasoning is heavily clouded by sentiment, and emotion. E.g. Lastpage. He openly admitted he is a biased judge, even when trying to summarise a thread. Many are scattered all over this thread.

@ agitator; I must say something here. What you just did is a clear indication that your wife is in trouble (if you are married).

With what I have seen so far, whenever you have any quarrel with her, you will dig up all her previous misdeeds to buttress your facts.

These attitude is "unman-like", if there is a word like that.

Soludo Takes Anambra Election To Vatican Joe Chukwudi, Awka , May 17 2010 12:53pm

If feelers reaching the desk of Ukpakareports.com are anything to go by, then the PDP candidate in the last governorship election in Anambra may have made good his threat of taking on the Anambra Catholic Community for favouring his APGA counterpart, Mr Peter Obi in the election.

Our correspondent gathered that Soludo has recently petitioned the head of the Vatican, Pope Benedict XVI over the role of the Anambra Catholic community in the 6th February election in the state.

A source hinted Ukpakareports.com that Soludo who had expressed disdain over the activities of the church in making sure that Obi emerged victorious in the election has petitioned the Pope, asking for the questioning of Catholic Bishops in the state over their role in the victory of Obi.

It was gathered that the petition was through some high power Catholic connection sent straight to the Pope without passing through the other lower offices in the Vatican. This was necessitated by the knowledge of the petitioner of the connections of Mr. Obi in the Catholic community being that his younger brother is a priest at the Vatican and his elder sister a reverend sister, the petition was made to by pass other offices straight to the Pope.

According to our source, the petition is currently being treated by the Pope who may soon invite the Bishops for questioning over their role. Even Cardinal Arinze who is said to be in charge of the church’s African affairs was not aware when the petition found its way to the office of the Pope the source said.

It would be recalled that Soludo and Dr Chris Ngige the AC candidate had accused the head of the Catholic Church in Anambra State of colluding with Obi to coerce Catholic faithful in the state to vote for APGA. Reverend fathers were said to have been dispatched to various polling centres in the state to intimidate voters from the Catholic Church to vote for Obi, with the threat that they may forfeit receiving the Holy Communion if they vote to the contrary.

Mr. Peter Obi, Prof Chukwuma Soludo, Dr Chris Nwabueze, Hon Uche Ekwunife of PPA are some of the candidates in the last election who are catholic faithful, and had also visited the church during campaigns to solicit the vote of members.

I can't explain his bullet proof jeep - one thing I know is he needed it! The only thing we know for sure is that he kept the money at the CBN because the governor confirmed it - but nobody has come out officially to talk about why it took 7 months or whatever number of months, and that is why your explanation is hearsay. Your explanation of how he obtained the jeep is also hearsay, since you really don't have the evidence - if you have it please share. I have always said that if Ribadu has a case to answer he should, but don't put him in the same category as Mustapha.

On the other hand, Ibori's troubles in the UK and Nigeria are actual cases, so was Tafa Balogun, so was the former Balyesa gov. case, and so on.
My Dear, I have read through your argument. All the points raised by Otobroto and Our-turn against Ribadu, are not hearsay.
This facts are real, but on why he kept the cash that long, he may have a better reason, but not hearsay.
His bullet proof jeep is there, and whenever he is in town, that is what he cruises with.
He might abandon it when next he returns for better days are there for him.
Putting him in the class with Mustapha, I think one has admitted that is wrong.
Ribadu was not what many thought he was, but since he started well, many loved his courage.
As for me, I can never praise any Nigerian leader. They are all there for their pockets.

@selingel,
for me, i don't believe in jonathan and i will not believe in goodluck.
the first and the worst step he ever takes is reversing the works of yar adua meaning there has been long over due grieviances. i suspect conspiracy here.
if a vp is loyal to the president, the death of the president will never mean new govt and new projects.
since when has writen or open appologies become a way of settling indescipline and corruption charges.
what happens if ibori writes an appology to the people of delta state and nigerians as a whole?
we are partial in this war on corruption.

obj has destroyed all institutions in the country including the constitution of federal republic of nigeria and the only thing at work today is the ottah directives hence the fear of obasanjo has become the begining of wisdom.
jonathan has submitted himself to destruction and so shall it be unless he withdraw himself from his ottah commitments. jonathan must look at the bode georges and the ogbulafors who once believed that obj is the king of kings.
That is exactly what I am saying. When did this attitude of asking someone to write an open apology letter become a prerequisite to dealing with indiscipline in an institution? Why not ask Ibori to do same, so that, we shall then assume your corruption war is blanket? This government is already doomed from inception, so long OBJ is the captain of the ship.

I just feel for this man. His troubles are rising by day, and no solution in sight.

Maybe he should just come out publicly, and apologise to his people, and the Nigerian public in general, and seek forgiveness.

This troubles are just too many, else, he will die untimely. There is nothing wrong in doing this.

I'm not defending d docs but I don't share d view of those sayin that d docs deliberately discharged d baby wit infected wound & also tried 2 hide it from d mother. Accordin 2 dr adewale, there was accidental scarpel injury & it was instantly satured by d consultant obestrician. Treatment started wit antibiotic injection, multivitamins & analgesics. Scarpel injury is a complication of C-section worldwide. D mother on d other hand showed d universal human weakness of waitin till things get worse b4 acting & blamin d consequences on others. She must hav known @ d injury even if they didn't tell her when bathing, dressing & breastfeeding d baby. When u buy a good somewhere & it develops fault, u don't take it 2 another place 4 servicing. U take it 2 where u bought it 4 rectification or replacement. D docs @ Apapa knew what happened & are in better position 2 correct it. Rather than go back there, d mother choose 2 waste 3 weeks at other hospitals. Even if her reason 4 going 2 other hospitals is that d docs @ Apapa are incompetent, she should still have gone back there & they would refer her 2 docs they know can handle d situation. The baby was born @ Apapa, d injury occured there & treatment began there. Rather than continue there, d mother opted 2 burn over 3 weeks at other hospitals & now turn around 2 blame Apapa docs for her myopia when things got bad. I repeat again that i'm not defending d docs but i'm 100% sure that even those blaming d docs wouldn't take that kind of rubbish if they were in d docs shoes. I'm typing wit phone so kindly overlook any typing error in my post
Well said, I want you to understand one thing, this is Nigeria.
Meanwhile, okay I accept your fact that the mother knew about the injury.
What recommendations/assurances did the doctors give to the woman, which would have dissuaded her from taking the baby elsewhere, or even attempting self medication? In a case like this, if they had told the woman, we are monitoring what happened to the baby, obviously the matter would not have gotten to this stage. Daily in Nigerian hospitals, we register similar cases, but how many make headlines?
Why did they suddenly discharge the woman, based on this report from the media? Obviously, the woman might have added some spices to make the whole issue to look juicy, but lets look at it from the neutral point of view. The hospital did not manage this situation well at all.
