Eastbay:I agree with you 100% Eastbay:His disrespect/disdain for the domestic league and home-based players is my biggest GROUSE and BEEF with Amodu. Funny thing is he doesn't need to do much scouting like Westerhof did cos the domestic league is now on TV. Apart from that our league teams play and do well in CAF Champions league and the Confederation Cups. . . so it's just plain SILLY on his part to diss the domestic league and the home-based players. . . . . The NFF Technical committee took him to task when the list of invited players to camp for AFCON 2010 was released and urged him to invite at least 5 Home-based players to Camp. . . . They even gave him a list of these 5 players that included Chibuzor Okonkwo, Ike ThankGod amongst others. . . . My point is if he says he wants 10 home-based players invited to Camp, the NFF technical commitee will be more than happy to give him that list. Even me sef, I fit mention 10 home-based players off hand that deserve to be invited to Camp for the world cup. . . . . Amodu cannot say players like Ike ThankGod-Heartland FC, Chibuzor Okonkwo-Bayelsa United, Nnaemeka Anyanwu- Enyimba FC, Solomon Okpako-Kano Pillars, Jonah Abutu-Dolphins FC, Valentine Nwabili-Enyimba FC, John Nnam-Rangers FC, Osas Idehen-Enyimba FC, Victor Brown-Heartland FC aren't good enough to don the green-white-green, haba! How I take sabi these players?. . . . By watching some matches of the league on TV off course. Seriously Amodu get mental problem. I WILL NEVER FORGIVE HIM FOR HIS SIN AGAINST THE DOMESTIC LEAGUE AND THE HOME-BASED PLAYERS. . . Anyway, I will never support the appointment of a foreign coach as long as we have Siasia. . . . .If the NFF sacks Amodu, Siasia should be given the job and should be given the free hand to appoint his own assistants (peeps he can work with). . . . I expect he'll bring Simone Kalinka with him. . . . Amokachi is just a ball boy to me. . . . he should also go. NFF can play politics/federal character with the other positions like Team commandant, media officer etc and appoint who ever they like. . . I don't care or give a damn! @ Ayusco Kanu just do small film trick yesterday. . . The pace of play of the S.E is already too slow as it is with people like Mikel. Besides I want some1 who has stamina, pace, endurance, can run & not jog, mark, hussle and close down space in the field, . . . In the modern game, everybody na defender, midfielder and attacker. In short, I want a team of 11 battlers on the pitch. Kanu brings very little to the table IMO. . . . He has more minuses than positives as far as I'm concerned. |
Razor, you're right. . .it worked.
|
Shittu will also be my captain. . . .Anyone who watched Angola 2010 knows he's the chief field marshall, motivator and commandant on the field of play. He's not afraid to speak out, shout, issue instructions and treat the f.cuck up of any erring player. I also want a captain who'll have a bird's eye view of the entire team & match hence my choice of Shittu as captain. . . .He has & exhibits all the traits of a leader IMO. All the other players are too docile and timid. . . .Captaincy shouldn't be by seniority IMO. |
Ow11, Believe me, it wasn't easy coming up with that 23-man list. . . .and to select the starting 11 against Argentina was even more difficult. Let me give u a peep into my thought process. *Osanga King- I know u're a follower of the local league so you'll agree with me Heartland's Osanga King is the perhaps the best natural wide-player(winger) in the domestic league. He's a specialist winger, some1 in the mold of Tijani Babangida & Finidi George. Now in the current S.E, we lack some1 like this as all those who play 7 & 11 for us are at best converted strikers. Osanga has played on the wings all his life. . . .U-17, U-21 & even for heartland and he's been superb. . . .he'll be bringing something which the strikers come wingers couldn't offer. . . .that's why I chose him. Josiah Maduabuchi is a WONDERFUL player and I like him very much. . . .although he started his Enyimba career on the right wing, he's been converted into a central attacking midfielder and he's now the fulcrum/launch pad of Enyimba's attack. . .Only reason I dropped him is becos I believe I've got that position locked down between Haruna, Ajilore, Rabiu Ibrahim & Nsofor. . .YES Nsofor. . .after all, Siasia played him as a 10 against Cotedevoire in Beijing 2008. I like Nsofor's business-like approach to games and his forward 'always' mentality. *On Etuhu. . .dropping him was very difficult but Kaita & Haruna/Mikel could play as 4. . . .hence my decision. Besides I've noticed Etuhu fizzles out easily in a match. Ajagun. . . .is a player for the future. . . .he played as a midfielder just in front of Ramon Azeez @ the last U-17 & I liked what I saw very much. . . .he marks, is very mobile & full of running and to top it all, he shoots very well too. . .in short, if he gets into shooting position, he could get a goal. Anyway, I'm not completely averse to your changes to my 23-Man list. The player I very much want to take to the World cup is Ike ThankGod. . . Yobo has to stop making calamitous errors or he just might lose his place to him. * On Osaze & Obasi against Argentina. . . .2 of them could play as strikers and I intend to keep the Argentine defence guessing and very busy. . . . . . . notice Ike Uche drifts to the wing a lot (eg vs France) so during a match, I could pass instructions to Ike Uche to drift to 7 for a while & push either of Osaze or Obasi to play upfront as strikers partnering Martins. . . .enough flexibility IMO. It's called making a substitution without actually making a substition. |
Aiero, e no work o. . . .even for E/data/document/isilo. . . . .wetin be way forward?

Aiero, extracted the CIA world factbook to C:/documents/isilo and when I try n open it from isilo it closes it just like tunnex said.

@ 12large Do you have a brain in that your head at all? I'd let your silly vituperations pass cos I'm assuming some wires are lose in your brain (that is if you have a brain). A fool that thinks Kaita & Shittu shouldn't be in my OWN starting 11. . . . .the kind of soccer illiterates and morons I encounter in this sports section sef, nawa! BTW, Mr 12large. . . .I'm dying to see your list. |
@ nene1 Are you Ghanaian? |
My Starting 11 and formation against Argentina Enyeama-1 Adefemi-2 Apam-5 Shittu-6 Echiejile-3 Kaita-4 Odemwingie-7 Obasi-11 Haruna-10 IK Uche-8 Martins-9 Best form of defense is attack so I'll be playing a classic 4-4-2 formation against Argentina. . . . I''ll be very flexible in my formation. . . . . Haruna plays as my 10 and standing instructions to him will be to run with the ball and exploit any gapping hole in midfield, mobility is the key here. . . . 7 and 11 will definitely have their works cut out for them as they gats be swapping regularly and they'll also have to back-track constantly to help out their wing-backs. . . .In short they gats defend and attack. . . lol. Ike Uche could also swap roles once in a while with Obasi. . . . . . . Depending on how the game goes and the pressure or lack of pressure I could pull out one of the strikers and send in an additional midfielder in Ajilore/Mikel to shore up the midfield. . . . . I think thats it! ![]() |
This was my team list as at January 16. . . . I think I posted it just before we played Benin. However, based on what has transpired in this AFCON, permit me to modify and make changes to my list semid4lyfe (m) Omo 9ja ni mi, Eko lo bi mi si. 9ja ni mo ti bere ka A. .B. .C Posts: 3098 Online Re: Your Dream Super Eagles Squad For South Africa 2010 Worldcup. « #43 on: January 16, 2010, 12:39 AM » Yes o! Coach Semid4lyfe, the best coach never to coach the Super Eagles is in da house Ol boy, been a coach is not easy o. I've been battling with this 24-man list for the past 30 minutes being that I''ve had to make some changes to my otherwise default list based on some recent happenings and things I now know. Goalkeepers Vincent Enyeama Dele Aiyenugba Chijike Ejiogu/Greg Etafia Defenders Dele Adeleye Onyekachi Apam Joseph Yobo Olubayo Adefemi Chibuzor Okonkwo Elderson Echiejile Taiye Taiwo Midfielders John Mikel Obi Dickson Etuhu Femi Ajilore Uche Kalu Lukman Haruna Rabiu Ibrahim King Osanga Abdul jeleel Ajagun Attackers Ikechukwu Uche Obafemi Martins Chinedu Obasi Ogbuke Micheal Eneramo Osaze Odemwingie Victor Obinna Nsofor Standby Players *Joseph Akpala *Chidi Odiah *Obiorah Nwankwo *Kingsley Udoh *Fortune Chukwudi *Sanni Emannuel *Chrisantus Macauley *Ramon Azeez *Peter Utaka *Obot Etuk I hereby present my new team list below(As at the End of our participation at Angola 2010). . . . 30/01/2010 Goalkeepers Vincent Enyeama Dele Aiyenugba Chijike Ejiogu/Victor Brown. . . either of them will do. . . . no need taking a clubless Austin Ejide to the mundial. . . . have always believed he ain't good too Defenders Danny Shittu Dele Adeleye Onyekachi Apam Joseph Yobo Olubayo Adefemi Chibuzor Okonkwo Elderson Echiejile Taiye Taiwo *Addded Danny Shittu to the list. . . . it'd be a criminal offense not to take Danny Shittu to S.A 2010. He'll even be a regular starter in my team. Midfielders John Mikel Obi Sanni Kaita (My battler General in Midfield). . . . .replaces Dickson Etuhu in my team to SA 2010. Femi Ajilore /Uche Kalu. . . . Uche Kalu may just lose his place in the team to Femi Ajilore. Lukman Haruna Rabiu Ibrahim King Osanga Abdul jeleel Ajagun *Dickson Etuhu is dropped for Sanni kaita who walks right into my 1st 11 based on his Angola 2010 performance. *No more automatic spot for Uche Kalu. . . .He shares a spot with Femi Ajilore. . . . . I'm even leaning towards dropping him for Femi Ajilore who was a consistent performer in our matches at Beijing 2008. Attackers Ikechukwu Uche Obafemi Martins Chinedu Obasi Ogbuke Osaze Odemwingie Victor Obinna Nsofor Micheal Eneramo Standby Players *Dickson Etuhu *Ike ThankGod *Joseph Akpala *Chidi Odiah *Obiorah Nwankwo *Kingsley Udoh *Fortune Chukwudi *Sanni Emannuel *Chrisantus Macauley *Ramon Azeez *Peter Utaka *Obot Etuk *Valentine Nwabili (A natural left footed midfielder with Enyimba). . . . . . . .I'm thinking deeply about Valentine cos he could be our Ammuneke Starting 11 and Formation against Argentina coming in my next post. . . . . |

aieromon:Thanks, seen the mail. . . . .aiero, shebi na lagos you grow up?. . . . u suppose understand the 'ko' and ''ni' wey I dey always post na. Anyway, 'ko' and 'ni' na just some kain yoruba slangs/informal yoruba words I think. . . . . .ko and ni can be used together to make a sarcarstic comments e.g Someone asks me to pay 10k for something and I say 10k ko, 10 kobo ni. . . . .meaning no be only N10 thousand, na 10 kobo! Hope you get my drift?. . . . . . and I use ni in asking questions. . . . . For example. . . . Shey u never chop ni?. . . . lol . . . . .Hope you understand? cos I can't reallyexplain it better than this. All na yoruba slang. Genuflect:You're so wrong ![]() |

Aaaah, reminds me of Mariama Ba's so long a letter, lol. Very long post but I read it from A to Z. Ayusco welldone! Na this kain intelligent well written posts and analysis I dey like read. . . . no be all those losers wey dey post rubbish and couldn't even sound intelligent to save their lives. . . . . Besides you didn't just criticize like most peeps, u actually proffered solutions. . . .way to go! Your post is very much in line with what I posted some days back. . . . . .I love your take on the technical crew. . . . what we need is a Siasia to help Amodu. . . . you know something like the coaching partnership of Tommy Söderberg & Lars Lagerbäck that Sweden adopted some years back. . . . both coaches should be on the same level. . . no seniority. . . . , If Amodu is not receptive to the idea, he should be kicked aside and Siasia should be given the full reigns of the team. . . . . . . me thinks getting a foreign coach between now and the world cup will be suicidal. On players, I agree with most of what you posted except on the dropping of Nsofor (are you mad? ,that guy suppose go world cup whether Ike Uche is fit or not), maybe Dickson Etuhu, and the invitation of Christian Obodo (He has never been good IMO). Please draw up a list of your 23 players to take to the World cup and post it on that thread. . . .I'm dying to see your list. I'll also be making one or two changes to my own list as I now realise the non-inclusion of Danny Shittu is a SIN. He was our best defender at Ghana 2008 and he was our best defender in Angola 2010. . . . .That guy plays with passion and zeal, has a lion heart and he motivates the team too. . . . .I now understand why Siasia listed him as one of the overage players he wanted to take to Beijing 2008. Enough said. , . I don't want to sound like a broken record so make I just SMS for here. |

Aiero, your signature dey lie o . . . you don lose this one, lol. Me thinks, what Togo needs right now from CAF is empathy and not a ban. CAF could even give them some sort of concession like exempting them from the 1st round and drafting them automatically into the 2nd round of the AFCON 2012 qualifiers. This a rubbish decision. . . . . Anyway, I just shot you an email. . . go check your inbox and reply me jare. |

aieromon:Aiero, are you for real? The situation that led to the ban of Nigeria was different from that of Togo u know? Anyway, a full day after the attack, a Togolese Government Official said as he was speaking to the press they (Togo) were yet to hear any official word from CAF. . . . . .Blame the Government for Interference but also blame CAF for not managing the situation well. . . . . I still maintain it's a silly decision and it shows that CAF has no regard for human life. |

This is it! E don too much, haba!. . . . . . .Isa Hayatou has got to go. . . . . .this is the silliest decision ever taken by CAF. . . . . . . the members who voted for and backed the suspension of Togo from the AFCON must be on some cheap drugs.
