You guys are terrible. Stop it ! ![]() #2 was already 4 years when the "unplanned" happened. That meant my pull out game was on point for 4 years which ain't no mean feat Anyway. the unexpected no fit happen again cos the needful has been done. |
Tosin Adarabioyo is not better than Semi Ajayi. He is not better than Calvin Bassey He is not better than Olisa Ndah. He is not better than Jordan Torunarigha He is not better than Igo Ogbu. He is definitely not as good as William Troost-Ekong. Una think say na mai mai for a defender to win best player at a tournament? Ekong's performance at the 2023 AFCON is akin to Fabio Cannavaro's performance at the 2006 World Cup that catapulted him to win the 2006 Ballon D'or. Anyone who thinks Tosin is better than William Troost-Ekong who won MVP at an AFCON is definitely deluded. |
iamoyindamola:Small time now. madam go involve your pastor/Alfa and those ones go try blackmail you to cave in. In my own case, madam and I were in agreement and there was no pressure as we had both genders #1 and #2. It was just madam's adamant refusal to do family planning and me putting too much trust in my pull-out game that failed me. ![]() As she born and see as e dey go, na she even bring up the issue of family planning, and now she don lockup with CopperIUD. E get somethings wey dem no tell person. |
iamoyindamola:There's security in being paid regularly 12 times in a year. You know when you'll be paid and how much it'd be so you'll plan accordingly. Apart from sickness, another advice that I feel is not trumpeted enough in this period is not to impregnate your woman. I had made the necessary adjustments, cut off unnecessary expenses and was doing fairly okay but wifey unexpectedly got pregnant last year, put to bed in January and since then its been a struggle to keep head above water cos of the extra baby expenses. Anyways. thank God baby is XY. I take solace in the fact we have completed childbearing and the kids are in our preferred 1:2 XX-XY ratio. |
Odunayaw:Touche Two truths can co-exist. He's was poor with the Super Eagles but he's done fantastically well in the NPFL with Enyimba and now with Rivers United. |
Odunayaw:The NPFL is his level. His player invitation for matches is always riddled with some undeserving players. Also, I did not see any tactical dynamism and positive impact he brought to/had on the team during his tenure. Furthermore the fact he thinks formation is not important and his poor articulation is a big turn off. |
ChrisKels:He should stay put in Belgium or move to France or Germany Though I rate him, England is a NO NO for him in my opinion |
Deltamani:That is the major issue I have with indigenous coaches and why I prefer oyinbo coaches. It's the reason why the U-17, U-20 pipeline to the Super Eagles has dried up in recent years. If a northerner is coach of any of our male age grade teams, the team will comprise of majorly players from the north. If a southerner from the SW is coach, it'd be more of SW players. Ditto for coaches from the South East and South South The only reason this North/South player selection bias is not in the female teams is because there aren't many girls from the North playing football. Still, the female team coaches have other considerations that are not merit. Even the late Stephen Keshi despite winning the AFCON had integrity issues and imploded with his player selection to the World Cup. The only exception seems to be Augustine Eguavoen whose lists and selections is 90+ percent merit but even he also appears to be susceptible to external influence. |
lbrichman2:Okoye should have saved that goal |
That Tottenham left back Destiny Udogie is a fantastic player. Pity he's cap-tied to Iraly |
T-Pain jet-settin', yacht life on the sea, While the economy's sinkin', drownin’ in debris. Private jet flyin’, but we barely takin' off, Inflation at the table, even bread ain't soft. INEC rigged the ballot, Edo played like a game, Votes flipped like the yachts, but the struggle stays the same. Obi tryna guide us, but they clipped his wings, While Don Jazzy dropped a milli, VDM gets the bling. Bobrisky in the cell, but the real charade's clear, House of Reps actin' foolish, they ain't sincere. Yahoo boys countin' rituals like a daily prayer, Police taxin' people, extortion everywhere. Hookups risin', hustle ain't legit, Wizzy vs Davido, throwin' subs with a hit. Dangote’s refinery promises the cure, But NNPC's scarce fuel got us beggin' for more. Unknown Gun Men like shadows in the night, Bandits flexin' ransom, TikTokin' for likes. Boko Haram still lurkin', kidnappers on the prowl, IPOB agitatin', but who’s listenin’ now? Food prices soaring, can't keep up with the tag, Education and healthcare stuck in a lag. Grid collapsin', darkness grips the nation, Tariffs so high, it’s killin’ aspiration. Peter Obi had the dream, but it’s T-Pain’s reign, Luxuries for him, while we feel the strain. They live in the clouds, while we fight for the ground, Nigeria's cryin’ loud, but no answers found |
minfelix:I watch am come begin dey doubt my eyes. Didn't get a clear angle replay so I thought perhaps I was wrong. Thank you for confirming Garrium sulphate never spoil my eyesight. Ahmed Musa should have been carded for that dive. |
iamoyindamola: I gotta be real, this topic ain't my lane, Israel, Iran, Lebanon, it’s all a bit insane. Palestine and Hamas, Hezbollah in the mix, Trying to understand it all, man, it’s just too complex. ![]() |
T-Pain’s in the office, but it’s all a joke, Corruption runs deep while the people choke. Fuel scarcity got us stranded on the road, Prices sky high, man, we carry this load. Hardships piling up, can’t catch a break, Inflation rising fast, how much more can we take? Power grid collapse, darkness in the streets, Insecurity lurking, can’t find no peace. Education failing, we’re left in the dust, Promises made, but who can we trust? Kids in the classrooms, but learning's a fight, Future looking dim, no end in sight. |
The fact that Ahmed Musa is running rings round players of opposition teams in the NPFL, scoring goals for fun and winning MVP in matches is crazy. It's either Ahmed Musa is still a top quality player Or There's a dearth of quality players in the NPFL. |
Sugarboyy:Bruh that talk astonish me, I no go lie Still, I can understand cos emotions were high and some people enter panic mode which impedes rationality. In case una no know, the Super Eagles team is Nigeria's biggest brand ambassadors. The team, NFF Chairman, NFF Sec Gen, Parliamentarians, a Deputy Governor, Sports journalists etc are held hostage in an abandoned airport in the middle of no where in a war torn foreign country and the FG/Presidency no go dey involved? Wetin una dey think sef? |
komekn:Roaming ko, Milaning ni. The players said they did not have internet access and I believe them over you. That implies they were not able to latch onto any network provider with internet access in the Al-Abraq airport vicinity when they roamed their phones. Or You think they don't know about roaming? Again. someone brought/provided them with internet access so Baba rest, I repeat rest. |
JohnBullMySon:I disagree that Nigeria did something similar to Libya. Uyo was approved by CAF as venue for our AFCON qualifiers and it had been known months ahead that the match was going to be played there. If the Libyan Football Federation chartered a plane to bring their team to Port Harcourt knowing fully well that the match was to be played in Uyo, it's on them. Its that simple in my opinion. In the botched return leg, the NFF chartered a plane that was heading directly to Benghazi the city where the match was to hold but the Libyan authorities diverted our plane (when it was already in Benghazi and about to descend) to a different location. The cases are not similar. Libya landed in Port Harcourt by their own doing and choice. Nigeria was (deliberately and maliciously) diverted. The Libyan FF have admitted this in their Press release. Libya's chartered plane landed in its original planned destination of Port Harcourt. Nigeria's chartered plane was diverted from its original planned destination of Benghazi to somewhere else. For me, that's the koko and all that matters. The action taken by Libya to land in Port Harcourt was premeditated so it could be used as an excuse to subject the Nigerian team to the "reciprocal" maltreatment they meted out. Libya did this knowing fully well that they couldn't beat Nigeria fairly on the field of play. They were probably hoping that our team would be too distressed & fatigued to play well so it'd be easier for them to win or they walk over us if we don't make it to the match and get awarded 3 points and 3 goals. It was a good plan but in all their scheming, the Libyan FF made a costly error that caused everything to boomerang, and that was not blocking communication channels and internet access cos Nigeria effectively used her social media might to launch an info-war that subsumed them. After all said and done, Libya's plan backfired on them spectacularly. |
Debating Mr Bluefonts is an extreme sports. He probably thinks that being contrarian and going against the grain equates to intelligence |
Has coach Augustine Eguavoen made any utterance on the Libya fiasco? |
mekabuachi:Funny and wicked ![]() |
TheSuperNerd:Correct |
komekn:You're wrong sir. The players who tweeted mentioned not having internet access They wouldn't have made that complain if they could have easily roamed their phones and latched on to Network Providers in the area Someone provided internet access for them and from the account of the Nigerian Foreign Minister and the NFF, it was the Head of the Nigerian Community in Benghazi. |
Amedino99:True that but still any unstable country without a central government should not be allowed to host international football matches. |
deltafly:This whole Libya-Nigeria issue screams CAF incompetence and lack of foresight. What was CAF thinking allowing the match to be played in Libya, a war-torn country? The match should have been scheduled in a neighbouring country like Algeria, Morocco or Egypt and this would have robbed the Libyans of the opportunity to play all their shenanigans cos the host country would have been responsible for logistics. After all said and done, CAF dropped the ball. I'm waiting to see what sanctions will be imposed on Libya. |
BankyGee:Just watched this Ola Aina's vlog. Truly. It made me smile and laugh. In all their shenanigans. the Libyans made a costly mistake by not blocking nternet access.. The internet access allowed us to escalate the issue via social media, and they effectively lost the info war. By the way. was it the airport WIFI the players were using or were they given local sims with internet access? How were they able to access the internet? |
All I can say at this point is Thank you Lord for the safe arrival of the team back home. This ordeal made me realize how much I love the Super Eagles and how emotionally invested I am in the team. It was an emotional roller coaster Fear catch me. I was angry and short-tempered. Food lost taste in my mouth. I was absent minded and was just going through the motions of eating today. I took longer to finish dinner tonight cos I kept refreshing Nairaland and twitter just to read that the boys were back on Nigerian soil. Phew. Nigerians, we do this one. Next phase is #alleyesoncaf |
Ibime:But the bills are continuous are not ending anytime soon cos the kids are still in junior basic school |
BlueRayDick:Who do you think is in a better situation? Both are in their mid 30's A guy who is currently single but intends to get married in 2/3 years time and hasn't started facing full family responsibilities Or A guy who is married and has had the 2/3 kids he wanted, locked up and is currently shouldering full family responsibilities? |
Odunayaw:Is he on socials, I wan check something |
With the way this thread has been on fire, you would think a Super Eagles match was ongoing But make we no lie..... This one big pass any 90 minutes football match. |
