What a remarkable way to end the year. Congratulations to liveLongNprospa and raumdeuter. And for the rest of us, may this government eventually favour us. |
BlueRayDick:Interesting |
Asking someone to sub DSTV for you? Don't know whether to call it misplaced priorities or abuse of friendship ![]() |
Chai. guys in this thread are unforgiving. Na so dem go dey play your tape for you every time. ![]() |
TheSuperNerd:And I find that worrisome. How can a national team coach vote Messi as the world's best footballer in 2024? It only means he's not following the game keenly and is still stuck in the stone ages |
Danielnino00:Hello sir. My mentions are a mess. I'm following the thread and your posts. Pls tag me when the actual voting thread is up so it can be pushed to the homepage. |
seankafor:For real. I was scared it'd be rigged against Lookman. Especially when I read Hakimi was coming to Morocco in a private jet in the company of the PSG president, Nasser Al Khelaifi. I thought NAF had probably made CAF an offer it couldn't refuse and part of the conditions was giving Hakimi the AFPOTY ward. |
If you can. die any matter before e reach police station. Those guys no be better people, all of them. Even their ogas wey no dey field anymore and now sit in cozy offices. That's why it irks me when all those twitter police PROs tweet as if dem be better persons and dem no know the criminality that exists in their organisation. Funnily enough. many of dem don bring curses upon their kids and unborn generations because of the atrocities they have committed. Recently, my wife was telling me about her friend who has been married for 6 years but is childless. As the wife dey waka, she jam Alfa wey tell am say the problem is from her husband's family, specifically the father who was a policeman who committed many atrocities on the job but there was a particular case he handled and framed a young man (an only son) for a crime, and despite the pleas of his aged mother, executed the guy. The mother cursed him that since he has taken her only son, his lineage would die off from his children and he would never have grandchildren. Coincidentally, his two daughters are both married but childless while his only son is mentally unbalanced. |
BlueRayDick:These guys do not live in the skies. They live within and amongst us, and are our neighbours. The funny thing is, I've never seen this my neighbour in police uniform. He's always fashionably decked in casuals especially jeans and t-shirts/polo with his signature papa's cap. In fact, until my friend casted him, I thought he was a car dealer cos once in a while, he'll bring a tokunbo car into the compound, park it and after a while, it'd be gone. This year alone, he's brought an RX 350, Toyota Sienna and Acura MDX into the compound and they all disappeared after a few weeks. Perhaps, he truly deals in cars and does procurement for people as a side hustle, who knows. But there were clues. His car has a reverse camera on it (which is a rarity in my town) so he's clearly security conscious cos of the nature of his job, and I once overheard him talking on phone and telling the person. to write a petition and submit it at state command. The emboldened may not far from the truth. I heard about the raiding of a house in my area recently by anti-cult squad and how a particular guy was beaten and whisked away. |
Real Madrid reacted swiftly and ferociously when Vinicius did not win the Balon D'or How will NFF and Nigeria react if Lookman does not win the award? 🤔 |
BlueRayDick:I have a neighbour. He's young, always on his airpods, upwardly mobile and seems to be doing well for himself. He drives a tinted glass, clean and fully pimped out Toyota Picnic 2010. He's friendly, jocular, an all round nice guy and minds his business in the compound If we wan do anything for compound. na him dey first drop hin contribution. He forwards morality and crime/security awareness themed broadcast messages a lot to our compound whatsapp group. When I did my son's dedication this year, he came to my apartment and gave wifey an envelope of 20k. He casted recently when a friend visited me and saw him as he was stepping out his apartment. My friend shouted and gave him hailings, "Officer Terry (not real name), na here you dey caban, how far na. E don tey o". I noticed he did not respond so enthusiastically to the hailings, and was somewhat uncomfortable, and stealing side glances at me. When we entered my apartment upstairs, my friend gave me his 411. According to my friend. the guy na AK (Anti-Kidnapping) and "O buru baaje". He's the leader of the cruelest and most feared Anti Kidnapping squad in town. No G-boy operates in town without paying settlements and obtaining his clearance. Him dey kpai guys, collect their properties and obtain their funds. He told me a lot. Since that day, I dey look am with different eye. Personnel of the Nigeria Police Force may be nice outside but on their jobs, they're all terrible people, crooked and corrupt in their ways |

seankafor:The document issued by the police that is used to process traveling is a Police Clearance Certificate not a Police Report. Police Report and Police Clearance Certificate are two different documents. PCC can be obtained for 30 - 70k depending on the police command/station and state you process it from. It can also be processed online Police Report is issued to a person or organization that is a victim of a crime. The price of the PR is often expensive and depends on the value of theft and the financial status of the person requesting for it. The two no be the same, make una no mix am up |
Police Report ≠ Police Clearance Certificate |
Ibime:Pikin dey grow ponmo lips right before our eyes cos of this habit. We went to studio to do family photoshoot, and he frustrated us and ruined almost all the pictures cos of this tongue sucking. |
Theflint1:The emboldened are outright lies. Na person wey no dey the sector you go dey blow this kain fabu for. Did the professor also tell you that FG implemented a 35% and 25% salary increment for professors and other categories of university staff in January? I guess not! In fact, this increment was later extended to all MDA's and parastatals under the FG payroll. This 35/25% increment was probably the reason the FG implemented the new minimum wage by adding 40k to all salary grade levels and not as a percentage increment. Truly, PBAT's policies of fuel subsidy removal and floating of the Naira caused massive inflation and eviscerated the gains of the new minimum wage but salaries have increased. I do not support PBAT but my opposition to this government is not a blanket one and I will not tell outright lies to discredit it. |
Ishilove:Freedom of speech is a constitutional right, however it must not be used recklessly because freedom after speech is not guaranteed. He's gonna learn. and he'll learn the hard way. |
Awon omo wobe |
Theflint1:As expected, nothing but pious platitudes and self-righteous indignation. Dele Farotimi won a case at the lower courts but lost at the supreme court so the supreme court justices must have been corrupted by Afe Babalola, lol. Nothing screams sore loser more than this. On the claims of abuse of power and judicial process, there was none. Afe Babalola followed due process to seek redress, and it was Farotimi’s failure to honor the court summons that led to the judge issuing a bench warrant for his arrest, which was duly executed by policemen from Ekiti. If lives are being ruined by judicial corruption, the focus should be on fixing the system as a whole, not reducing the conversation to blaming one individual. Accountability is important, but it’s not the same as scapegoating. No problem, though. I’m sure Farotimi will present screenshots from Nairaland and X as evidence to back up his accusations in court. |
KingTom:Awon wereys with their opinions that stem out of emotionalism and underdog syndrome mentality.. Someone built a stellar reputation through years of hard work and one ill-mannered man under the guise of activism thinks he can defame. denigrate, soil his image ......... and go scott free? Truly, there's freedom of speech but it shouldn't be used recklessly cos freedom after speech ain't guaranteed. Dele Farotimi deserves all that he's passing through and more. Me no pity am at all. |
KingTom:When trouble sleep, yanga go wake am Wetin he dey find (Palava e dey find) Palava e go get oh (Palava e go get) Palava When cat sleep, rat go bite him tail Wetin he dey find (Palava e dey find) Palava e go get o (Palava e go get) Palava |
D'banj knack Brother Suraj yesterday. Koko FC 1 Jarus FC 0 #LagosLiga. |
Ibime:As a nephew of the president, his acquittal was expected. The wife was not gonna leave him - not with his affluence and their 6 kids. She did the math and took the only sensible course of action. I applaud. |
Ibime:I concur |
Roland17:Not making excuses for Nwifiru but the former governor Dave Umahi and his appointees stripped the government house, official residence, staff quarters and offices of everything..........everything! They made away with cars, buses, furniture, electronics, electrical appliances, interior fittings, down to the littlest pin. Nwifiru couldn't do anything or oppose the looting of the state assets because he owes his emergence as HOA member, Speaker and later Governor to Dave Umahi. So I understand why Nwifiru had to buy new vehicles and all that but even at that he's overdone it. He's bought and gifted SUVs to: Friends Political acolytes Political appointees CMDs of the General Hospitals Magistrates Judges Traditional rulers LG Chairmen Catholic and Anglican Priests Pentecostal pastors and so on. They're GAC SUVs and are all over town. |
