angela98: I Dont care what he feels right now. After all his name wasn't mentioned. Yeah He is a very nice guy though. Simple, talks when necessary, not rich but hardworking. My only criticism is that he is too westernized. Too much Oyibo thinking. He forgot he is in Nigeria where certain behaviour is not a norm.Well, stuffs happen. Had same fears about a past heartthrob. Friends said I should have seen the cup half- full. Maybe they are right. |
angela98: you are right. He has seen and read the post. He sent me me an email to ask why am still bearing grudge... Oh I love nairaland it helps me to express my mind thoughtfully.Lol. He's a cool guy then, some people won't take kindly to you outing them on their sexuality, especially online. He must really like you. ![]() |
angela98: I met this guy on naira land. Both of us were jobless at that time because we are both always on nairaland. We started by commenting on and quoting each others post. One thing led to the other we exchanged phone numbers and arranged to meet up at shoprite. On that day he got there before me, waiting at the car park. When I arrived I was expecting to meet a black average simple young man. Instead I met a very very handsome humble mix race guy.I was blown away. He was so into me. We settled at a restaurant, catch up on a lot of things, got to know more about each other, we had something to eat and drink etc....he saw me off to my car and we kissed and started dating from there until I found out he dates men as well. He is bisexual. That ain't cool with me I dumped him at once. Love disappeared. Now am single and waiting for the right man...What if he reads your post a d sees this? |
Evergreen123: visit Enugu, onitsha n owerri threads.Next time post links to those threads instead of posting pictures targeted at annoying others. You didn't chose the tribe you come from and you could as well be arguing for Hausas or Yorubas in another life. The fact that others may not post corny pictures of the east may be because they don't care that much to bother themselves about it, not because there are no places there to take mocking picture from. But I'm sure you know thus yourself. Its all fun and games sometime, but if you're serving in the southwest, it won't be funny anymore if your start living in an environment of hate will it? |
Ain't you people done with your back and forth tribal bickering. Its getting stale or maybe its just me. Ngozi evergreen123, save your camera and show us beautiful pictures of your place or places. Don't be fixated with negativity. You will be eating yourself up with bad emotions in the end. Are you in Oshogbo? I might come there soon. Let's meet up ![]() |
Evergreen123: The place finer than everywhere in the eastChinois has given his camera to Ngozi as NYSC parting gift. Smh. |
He refused to join after taking a selfie ![]() Guy your warped sarcasm is top shelf. ![]() |
iwonbaoko: I sympathize with your sentiment but I am disappointed with your resistance to logic. I want what is good for my country. It is to my advantage if the youth have a better deal but I will tell you a few things for free.Education is not all about going to university and even when university education was free (in the days of Segun Okeowo)and we were given free food and had cleaners come to clean our rooms etc it was not for everybody. Never was and never will be There was a limited supply of university places from day 1.Pls do not misconstrue the argument for better funding for education, amongst other govt responsibilities, as saying they should give undue priority to university education, no. Funding of education should include funding for the training of technicians and the provision of the structure that provide this; and even for artisans. Where do we have cogent govt input for artisans in this country? Pls realise that regardless of the level of govt funding and as regards to income, most people still.pay through their nose for education in this country. The govt cannot convince anyone of its limited financial resources while belching due to corrupt financial constipation. |
Frankenstein: APC won't bring any change. For all I know, they are worse than the PDP. Fashola is in the same APC and LASU is still on strike because of school fees hike.Honestly none of the parties really impress me. Its a case of choosing between -8 and -9. I have a feeling that a war is coming. It might be coated in ethnic, religious or political garments; but it will essentially be a class war. |
bushdoc9919: The fact of the matter is that thanks to the Govt telling ASUU last year that they did not have any extra money for universities...increased fees became likely. Unless,we remove the fuel subsidy.Again, you keep puting the cart before the horse and its this same mentality that most of our govt representatives have had. Let me put this straight: 1. I drew your attention to the rebased economy to negate your theory that Nigerians are begging for oil, many Nigerians don't have that luxury, they are just individually making a success of themselves, and the govt has decided to glory in it. Touché. 2. Our government have consistently shown a penchant to throw its arms up at anything that demand mental strength or moral integrity. The lack of these two breed corruption, by these same people who are the fattest cows, argueably of any economy by the money they vote to themselves both legally and illegally; still shirk their responsibility and we bear the brunt as usual. The least we would appreciate is to get something right! 3. You have given the normal politician excuse when they want to stop thinking and have time to just embezzle: pass the buck. Whatever system we want to use to develop industrially will have educational input. Going by Nigeria's population, the number of people who even have higher education is not enough! You should know that it is not everyone that studies a subject that will go in that line, but the broadening of knowledge is essential. Now you talk of the development of technicians. Have you thought of how this is going to be achievable if not by govt input? You think its not part of education. All successful economies that have a healthy number of technicians have at some time heavily invested in their "education". Most still do. Technicians don't just fly out of the blocks without a proper structure, except in Nigeria where the govt just wants the citizens to find their way. 4. You mentioned the fact that industries are not being setup in the country. Have you asked yourself why? Is it because the govt is funding education? Or that we can't seem to get simple essential govt responsibilities like electric power right? Is it the discouraging political and beareaucratic bottlenecks a coy has to face in setting up that will make them stay? Pls note that most companies thriving under our govt do so due to some form of political help in terms of policies for which the citizens still bear the brunt! Finally, pls what is the fault of the ordinary citizens who just requires some form of education in this your argument? |
[sub][/sub] bushdoc9919: And what are you Nigerians doing with that education that you have been getting? You're mixing the priorities up. The way forward is not to cut off education to those who need it as a base for whatever aspiration they desire. Nigeria just rebased its economy, it shows that non-oil sectors have contributed in large extents to the growth. This means that Nigerians are using whatever education they have to make a success of themselves, oil or not. What has been the benefits for Nigerians from oil? Is it low fuel price? Constant electricity? Water supply? Good working environment? These are things more responsible economies take for granted. That we have come this far without govt help is a miracle that is not adduced to "begging for oil". Education has at least helped in this regard and you support that they take that out too? Pray? While the govt hands off all these, what will they be doing? Why will our recurrent expenditure still be as high as 65% of our budget? In fact why will we still need a govt to rule and not lead us? |
Why is that seat behind her looking like closed-couple water closet? |
iwonbaoko: What is LMAO? is that short hand for poverty of ideas? How do you think Finland achieved its goals of high GDP with moderate population? Is it not through education? Same education that is free in their country? Is it by outsourcing every government responsibility, taking the glory of the success of such outsourcing while enriching themselves doing nothing? Peopla like to see just one side of a story. I read in another thread that our government will quickly copy anything from the west that makes them lazy while contributing to their pockets; anything that requires responsibility and responsive governance is sniffed at. A revolution is coming, it might not just be the palatable one we imagined. |
gratiaeo: No weapon in any arsenal is as formidable as minds of free men and women—-Ronald Reagan. APC should tell us what they have for Nigeria (Manifesto) and watch Us (masses) fight for them and that is if they have solution to our numerous problems. We as people can vote and defend our votes if APC is a way forward but it looks like they have nothing but propaganda and blames. APC member are liarsBut what does PDP itself have for the people? Omisore hasn't articulated anything close to a plan. I'm not sure they will be disposed to a live debate of issues in Osun state. We need independent candidates in this country, an alternative to these recycled thieves ruining us! |
I don't believe in 100%. Most people don't really know footballers private lives. Humility is defined by both characters displayed on the pitch & in private life. The late Uche Okafor was a gentleman on the pitch, hence they call him gentle giant. But in real life, he's a wife beater. He died from depression.
Err..Uche Okechuckwu was the one called gentle giant. He was out starting '5'. Uche Okafor shuttled the bench, he was never called gentle...but this is none of my business, isn't it? ![]() |
Its unfortunate, the op is immature, brash and saddeningly ignorant. He had an opportunity to legitimately question the government of Osun on its education policy- both on Twitter and even here on this site- while airing his grievance with the status quo; but he decided to go the thuggish route. I'm no politician, but I can easily sense from my perspective that you have something else on your mind against the govt. Why don't you say it maturely without the language attack? The little girl said the govt is innovative. She is right. You lack of knowledge on the matter compared to the teenager and your subsequent shameful outburst on twitter is an indictment on your upbringing as is your education. And you decided to save the tweets and bring them here? What were you expecting? A pat on the back for being an activist and putting the govt in its place? |
Truckpusher: They know their boundaries my brother. No my brother, they don't know their boundaries. I hope events don't prove me right though. I have said in several.post that we mostly call for separation without looking realistically at "how" this will be done, and more importantly "what" happens after. Will we become little Ukrains or Sudan or Eritrea. The story of the aftermath hasn't been good for Africans especially, not just because we don't think far unto the future and are only conserned with the present emotions; but because even when one part of the separation wants to progress, the others won't simply let it. Again check Sudan out. Nigeria's aftermath may be even worse. I see us getting into the tit for tat continuous bombing of each other to settle personal scores ala Sunnis and and Shiites in the middle east. It is truly scary. |
caseless: he said 'less likely' and not 'more likely'. I advice u read again. You got what he's saying wrong. He made a mistake by putting "reserve" instead if "reverse". Correct this and read his post again, I'm sure it will make more sense. |
