I sha know that a lot of people, mostly sellers move in packs on this thread. Scratch my back I scratch yours kind of deal. When I smell something like that, I move away from the person of interest. A lot of scams have been done on this thread. Not saying exactly what you sell is something a lot of sellers, especially on this thread, take for granted, or worse still, take advantage of.

I have bought stuff on this thread, new stuff though, phones, PJs. Both sellers I have bought from hardly had long conversations on this thread but always stated exactly what they sell and move on. I found out that that is just the way they are in real life, willing to make sure exactly what I want is given me, even when I'm at fault. Too much shalaye going on here. There's a reason why the customer is assumed king. Those who feel otherwise do so because they find such mantras uncomfortable (and because they cut corners and expect apologies to be enough later).

This future focus issue should not have gotten to this thread at all. The seller should have refunded the money or given the buyer exactly what he/she wanted. Telling the customer what they're looking for is more expensive or they should "go to Ikeja" after you had done business with them and collected their money, on the trust that you can provide, is the reason why people keep away from places like Alaba. You may not realize it, but it's fraudulent. Let's not normalize corruption and blame politicians while "cashing out".

It's common to have expansion joints between two columns. This looks like one. Both columns may or may not have a joint foundation. The cracks there may be nominal cracks from plastering over the joints. Probably a poor job too.

Someone I don't know sent me a long email this morning about how he had an awfully sour deal with a popular seller on here and it is almost becoming a police case. I was wondering how he got my email until he admitted I once dropped it on here. He sent me a video as well alongside chat shots. According to him, I influenced his decision into reaching out to the seller.

For the record, I have never endorsed any seller on here and I think it will be fair to say I have emphasised the 'do your due diligence' mantra more than any other person on here.

I have advised that the person makes the issue public and he has agreed to create an account. It seems he has been using the forum as an unregistered user. My prayer is that they don't resolve it amicably. There is a major takeaway from the epistle he sent me which I'd want everyone, particularly buyers to learn from.

It is not the job of a teller to follow CBN circulars. That is the job of the legal team who then advises the bank through internal memos. You cannot blame a teller if the legal team doesn't do their job.

For a customer, the teller is the first person to blame. It's the teller's job to blame whoever is responsible for his/her ignorance.

There is no sin in actually selling the same on the same thread, to be sincere. Where the sin lies is in buying it cheaper then shoot up the price by 100% and sell on a CLEARANCE SALES THREAD AS A CLEARANCE SALE. That's some demonic greed. Some sellers genuinely sell these items cheaper but you might not understand the systemic rot and how deep it runs. It is the same way rents will cost N400,000 and agents will add up to N250,000 as commission and other charges, making it difficult for people. In the end, middlemen are a big problem, especially the ones with factory fitted greed.

The funny things is that this thread was actually meant to cut out the middle men by connecting the people who need items to others who need those items cleared out. This should not be a reseller's paradise. Well, I'm sure the person of interest is happy that she's "hammering" in a depressed economy.

Sellers with clearance items are not posting cos they fear they will get bullied. I have bought a brand new 4.5 x 6 bedframe for 45k, and a 6x6 for 85k. I have a friend who had his 6x6 made for 110k and this is just the frame (not including the mattress). It all depends on the design and materials. Matress price is also determined by its height/thickness apart from it being 4.5x6 or 6x6.

If you have posted items here before you should not be surprised to see the way some people would ask you to sell that bed frame you made for 9k. I sincerely expect sellers to be reasonable in their posting but I'm getting frustrated that I don't even see household items I need on this thread talkless of at clearance rates.

It's like some auto sellers that will say "distress sale" but the price is not "distress price" it's sometimes even higher that the going rate for same car. And people tend to point this out to them, or price it down appropriately.

I know a family that bought this type of burner. Twice, the hose caught fire when they wanted to turn it off after use. They later abandoned it.

Were they doing anything wrong? And is there anything they can do to stop the flame after turning it off? The fire comes from a small space under the burner close to the point where the hose is connected.

Just like me, I'm at work and at the same time self studying on AWS CCP which is even the fundamentals and the elementary aspect of AWS yet it feels like I'm not only wasting my time but also deceiving myself by thinking that this will ever make sense to me but I have decided that either I learn this damn thing and add more value to myself or I learn it since I'm not quitting

This is how I study and you can also adapt same strategy.

Strategy #1: listen or watch the entire tutorials with the all the hands on (lab demos) from the beginning to the end without taken any notes or try practicing the hands on, just watch.

Strategy #2: Repeat strategy #1

Strategy #3: Watch keenly the entire lectures from beginning to the end and start doing the hands on along with the instructors. This time around, you will realize that certain concepts are beginning to make sense and you are also beginning to retain some of the things you are learning.

Strategy #4: Repeat strategy #3 and you will discover that you are retaining more than before and your confidence level has really grown and do more of the hands on.

Strategy #5: Repeat Strategy #4 and start attempting the quizzes or simulated exam questions in other to get a feel of how the exams looks like.

Strategy #6: Repeat strategy #5 and learn from the mistakes and wrong answers from strategy #5 by getting more correct answers this time around.

Strategy #7: Repeat strategy #6

Final level: Sit for the exams and blast it hopefully on your first attempt.

This strategy has always worked for me which eventually did build my confidence level to the point that I now know and do genuinely believe that anything can be learned depending on the level of one's dedication.
