Delta state has the worst political office holders you can ever think of. The state isn't blessed with good leaders at all. The last time we saw real infrastructure development was even during Ibori administration. Even though that adminstration threw the state into debts.

Uduaghan was the worst. Nothing to show for his 8 years, aside the Asaba airport. He practically wasted the state resources on white elephant project that even saw the light of the day. (Oleri park, BRT, Modern bus terminal and warri industrial back comes to mind).

The current administration is constructing 1" thickness road and he's calling himself road master (I shame).

Thuggery, Development fee and all forms of youth restivensss finished that city

He will probably get the third position looking at the statistics on ground. Jegede should not of allow Agboola move to another party. That was one mistake the PDP made. Agboola has alot majority than Jegede in the south and with the support of Mimiko, the central will be shared among the 3 parties. To me own knowledge and understanding, Agboola has advantage over Jegede in the next election.


The structure of the APC is cemented in Ondo State. It will be very difficult to defeat the Governor because he already reconciled with every baboon and rat in the party. And upto the local level (units\wards) his warriors are there. It's will be so easy for him (money influence) to get all the votes he want.

I'm not a politician but with the little knowledge I have and from interview with locals, I think it's sure for Aketi as first and Agboola as second then Jegede can settle with third position.

Let's be sincere for once. Even if we know that Governor Akeredolu will win the next election, he should allow free and fair campaign. No need to use thugs to distrupt or harras other candidates when we all know that you will win due to the kind of support and organization among the APC in Ondo State. We have got to condemn this kind of act in our state politics.



Even my junior brother who's a ZLP ward secretary in Ondo State do tell me that Aketi is sure for second term and others will only need to fight for 2nd and third position. Let the Governor call his Dogs together and feed them in his cage rather than use them to cause unwanted mayhem that isn't necessary.

In my opinion, it's either the lieutenant gave or he is giving vital information to terrorist that the Soldier feel is harmful to his command. Don't forget that he didn't shot him in battle, he shot him while the officer was on call. They have got o investigate who the officer talked to on phone. Check his contact to access it. Some soldiers are angry with many of their colleagues who they feels gave advance information to terrorist before and after operation.


The officer may also have done something that prompted his own killing. It's just an opinion. But many of these soldiers are tired to see their best friends killed while Boko Haram members are freed.

The PDP primary election in the state which is slated to take place on Wednesday, July 22, at the Dome Centre, Akure, to be chaired by Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu, will be for Agboola and seven other politicians.

The PDP primary aspirants are:

1. Deputy governor Agboola Ajayi
Ajayi has served in various capacities in the Social Democratic Party (SDP), the All Progressives Congress (APC) and presently the PDP. He was the chairman of Ese-Odo local government area before being elected into the House of Representatives to represent Ilaje/Ese-Odo federal constituency.

The deputy governor was also the chairman of the House committee on the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) between 2007 and 2010.

2. Eyitayo Jegede
Having emerged the winner of the PDP primary in 2016, Jegede is one of the very popular aspirants in the party vying for the position.

The aspirant is a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) from Ipele town, Ondo and was appointed in 2009 as the attorney-general and commissioner for justice in the state.

3. Boluwaji Kunlere
Kunlere hails from Igbotako in Okitipupa local government area of Ondo and is a lawyer and a former senator representing Ondo South, Kunlere.

Although Kunlere contested Senate seat for Ondo South in 2007 under the Labour Party, he lost.

He was also a special adviser to a former governor, Olusegun Mimiko, on political affairs and legal matters and was later elected as a senator in 2011 on the platform of the Labour Party.

4. Ben Okunomo
An indigene of Ilaje, Okunomo later emerged the chairman of the same local government area and was also the former spokesman of the PDP in Ondo.

5. Eddy Olafeso
What is in the public domain about the political profile of Olafeso is quite brief. He served as a staunch member of the PDP.

Olafeso was the vice national chairman (south-west) in the PDP elective convention of 2017.

6. Sola Ebiseeni
Ebiseni is a human rights activist, lawyer, politician who represented Ondo at the World Conference of Local Authorities in Oslo Norway, 1991.

7. Bode Ayorinde
Ayorinde was a member of the 8th House of Representatives, representing Owo/Ose constituency.

8. Godday Erewa is an industrialist from Ilaje.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that aspirants vying for the PDP ticket had accused Ajayi of doctoring delegates' list to be used for the party's primary election.

The deputy governor is facing tough hurdles to secure the PDP ticket after pulling out of the APC in what climaxed the feud between him and his estranged principal, Governor Rotimi Akeredolu.

Senator Boluwaji Kunlere is a former senator of the federal republic of Nigeria. He represented Ondo South senatorial district. He was elected under the platform of LP after he defeated Former Governor Olusegun Agagu of Ondo state with the help of the former Governor Olusegun Mimiko of Ondo state.
