Career › O' Level As A Barrier For His Masters by SenatorJames(op): 12:59pm On Aug 23, 2013
A friend of mine has been depressed since he finished his NYSC in June. He got admission luckily to study Agric Econs and Extension in 2006 when the requirement was stil four credit and a pass in five science subjects (Eng Maths Bio Chem(D7) and Phy). He didn't resit for any other O'level til he graduated. He was amazed when he wanted to continue with his masters and found out that all the schools he checked all demanded five credits in science subjects.

Hello Nairalanders, is there any university in Nigeria that can accept credit in Economics and Agric instead of Chemistry for masters program in Agric econs and extension

Mature and educative response please.
Politics › Re: Inside Kogi Trade Fair Complex » Photos by SenatorJames(m): 12:51pm On Aug 21, 2013
May God safe kogi from all these barkwarded leaders rulling the state. I visited every part of the state when I served in Isanlu and I pitied the indegenes living there. Why I wouldn't blame the OP for mentioning the rulling tribe (Igala) is because they dont and are not ready to allow any other tribe to rule. There are better and vissionary people like Bayo Ojo (Okun).

The same thing is what we have in Oyo-state but Ibadan (Domineering town) voted for Akala (Ogbomoso) at first, to test him and latter voted him out. So Igala people can also put other tribe to test. God bless Nigeria
Christianity Etc › Re: Going To Church With Tablet Instead Of A Bible - Any Difference? by SenatorJames(m): 11:00am On Aug 20, 2013
In other to avoid unneccessary argument. There is no difference in paper and electronic bible, both are not the original form of the word of God, they are product of technology. The difference will now be the user, the bible says "Abide in me and let my word abide in you". If you have any of these bible and you dont study it, meditate in it and obey it. It wil stil be useless. "not the hearer nor the speaker will be justified but the doer of the word"

MY STAND: You have to know that no technology is perfect, it is more advisable to go to church with paper bible to avoid been distracted during service by other functions on the tablet (Facebook, other sites etc) and use tablets for your personal study at home or offices.

Lastly, some christians are always ashame to carry bible openly, that is why they will just put new testament in their back pocket. they will now hide under technology to be safe

Food › Re: What Do You Do With Food Given To You During Festive Period? by SenatorJames(m): 9:13pm On Aug 13, 2013
usbcable: while growing up we used to joyfully give to our neighbors during eid festivals and likewise recive joyfully during easter and xmas.
but d day we found out dat some of them actually threw the food away, we simply agreed to stop giving out to them unless when requested.
when i joined my present office and eid festival arrived(out of over sabi and I no sabi who is who) I gave meat to all my team members. Lo and behold a week after I discovered rotten meat in our locker and one in d thrash.
So I reversed back to old policy.
the following year I didnt give zilch to nobody. It was now a case of ask and you shall be given. and to all those that asked I gave dem and sorta checked if their requests were genuine so dat they dont WASTE the precious Meat I bought with my HARD EARNED SALARY.
I feel sorry for the action of your co-worker and I cant blame them considering all what is happening around. But i think the issue is cooked food and meat. You can be buying processed food like drinks, wine, bread, juice etc for them If you realy want to celebrate the festival with them

Politics › Re: As The President Of Nigeria, How Will You Stop Corruption??? by SenatorJames(m): 3:04pm On Jul 30, 2013
The problem of "CORRUPTION" cannot be solved by d current system of government where d President does not have total control of power. Ministers and appointees must pass 2ru d National assembly whom d president have no control over. 90% of d law must pass 2ru them.

Yet no one prays for Military.

Solution: Because majority of decisions is by the elected officers. I will reform electoral process by the following

- Empower INEC so that people can decide their leaders
- Cut excesses in government spending
- Reduce salary of elected officers and increase the one of Civil servant

With these all sectors of economy will be reform (Judiciary, Education, Health, Aviation, Security etc)

Last word: All these are possible provided the so called PRESIDENT did not emerged by the current currupt political system.

I saw someone writting in d similar trend on front page that "He that has no sin should cast d 1st stone"
If we continue quoting something like this without condeming bad actions like this that brings shame to us everyday, things will be getting worse daily. No one is claiming righteousness but we should not encourage evil.

But wait oooo.....I'm suspecting a trend here, I read that this man schooled at UNN where Prof Maurice Iwu also schooled

They want to be sure that their man is not an animal before they say "YES I DO". The truth of the matter is there is no perfect man/woman

Romance › Re: Sex Before Marriage: Say What You Can Do by SenatorJames(m): 8:23am On Jul 29, 2013
No matter what we say people will still do what they wish to do. But just to say my own and be justify of telling you the truth. Pre-marital sex is wrong and sinful. There is time for everything and the right time God program sex to be after marriage. That is why we the anti-HIV body will say if you cant hold body use condom, its a Plan B measure.

I will discus d Possibly effects of sex before marriage on two points PHYSICAL and SPIRITUAL. Most of these things are self explanatory

PHYSICAL
- Unwanted pregnancy
- Sexually transmitted Infections (STIs)
- Abortion which could lead to death or womb damage

SPIRITUAL
- Sex is a convenant because of blood involved
- Inherittance of family curse
- Prone to any evil attack
- Career termination: when u cant continue your study due to unplanned pregnancy
- Loss of Value: pre-marital sex is a sign that you are valueless
- Unhealthy marriage: because of lack of trust
Romance › Re: Can Early Marriage Stop Fornication? by SenatorJames(m): 7:51am On Jul 29, 2013
Marriage is just a change in status that has nothing to do with who you are. It is a matter of d heart. Can everybody know that u are married outside? Will your partner be with u everywhere u go? Can it be an hinderance for someone who is interested in u even if he/she knows? From finding d higher percentage of infidelity is among those that marry early. U wil be hearing stuffs like "I would have waited I dont kno dat beautiful/handsome person like this stil exist" d fact is there will always be someone u will admire, u just have 2 be determined and see your spouse as d best.
I also desire early marriage but its not to curb fornication. If I want 2 do it now nothing stops me, but I cant. So marriage cant change me.
Last word: "....be yee transform by d renewal of your mind..."
Family › What Is Your Definition Of "Maturity" by SenatorJames(op): 11:36pm On Jul 28, 2013
Many people belief maturity as one of the pre-requisite before marriage both as a lady and a guy. Even thou maturity is not in age, but every body sees it from different perspective.
I see maturity as d following
1. CONFIDENCE ON YOUR ACTION /DECISION: When u can stand on ur decision without being ashame, irrespective of d opposition. Ability to say No many times without feeling guilty
2. SELF CONTROL: U are mature when u can control everything about yourself, your desire, spending, emotion, likes, what u say etc.

Let us hear your own definition of Maturity

Politics › Re: PDP Woos Al-mustapha To Win Yobe, Borno by SenatorJames(m): 6:22pm On Jul 28, 2013
I pity Jega. He should resign if he stil want 2 keep his integrity. Its not d GEJ of free & fair election in 2011 is wot we will have in 2015. Why cant pdp win borno & yobe base on their achievement, rather by a political criminal. Al-mustafa should learn 4rm late Eleweomo in Ibadan. Some one will still be telling us in Nigeria Of 2day dat "al-mustafa was freed by a competent court of law". D Despiration of GEJ is just so annoying
