Is it not obvious already that price hike is imminent in every strata? As far as I'm concerned, it's a reality we already know so there's no need for the noise. Also, you don't need to call me out on every thread. I only see and say things from realistic point of view. I am no supporter of any bloody politician |

From the way things are going Ibori appears to be back in the Frontline of politics and has garnered the backings of the power moguls. For a very long time, Ibori never felicitated with no one but played his politics at the background. Just after election, himself and wike met with tinubu. Now rumors has it that he nominated the new NSA and has another sure nominee in the much anticipated ministerial lists. |

bhella10: Ministerial appointment is usually spread across the 36 States. The idea is round pegs in round holes. Lols hope you know you're very funny? Has there ever been a time you had around peg in a round hole? Don't also forget that ministerial appointment in this country is basically compensation of loyal party members and allies. Don't be surprised that the ministerial list will be made up of Wike, Ganduje, Fayose and other APC ex governors |

OChimex: The situation of things in Nigeria is a true reflection of how her citizens are.
So Tinibu lift subsidy, float naira, sign education loan, appoint security chiefs. And then calling countries to come invest that Nigeria is ready. Dang! Nigerians, all of them no dey normal at all no wonder the country functions abnormally.
Things that attracts investments like, adequate security for life and properties, adequate infrastructures, working institutions etc; Nigeria doesn’t have?.
No international brand is in Nigeria, because they know you guys are just idiots. So sorry for you dude. Your level of reasoning is very low hence the shallow level of understanding and comprehension. You woke up from no where and started blabbing nonsense. Did you take time to digest what I actually said? You want to tell us you know so much but you ended up sounding stupid. |

Mystic216: Those old mud houses belong to Yorubas, so na Yoruba landlord loose, the occupants of those buildings will rent elsewhere
The landlord will loose yearly rent and loose his property as well
So if you think you are doing the Igbos, think again Oga if you don't know about something ask questions. Most of those properties have been bought over and rightly belongs to Igbos. My brother if they belong to Yorubas, I can tell you for free that the government would have given them time to demolish and rebuild by themselves. See the spare parts market at akere that got burnt in ajegunle has been taken over by the government. |

alizma: It is a win win for both landlords and the tenants. In fact, the tenants could lost their lives in addition to their properties if the buildings collapse during the day time. As for the landlords, once your own building is brought down, get money from those who are willing to pay rent in advance and build your house back or better still, approach a bank for money while using propose house as collateral You're really funny o which bank in Nigeria will give you loan using a proposed house as a collateral? |
Politics › Re: Video:lagos Govt To Demolish 17 "Distressed" Buildings At Alaba International by Senioreddy: 10:25am On Jun 17, 2023 |
It is a good move but I smell ulterior motives and personal vendetta under the guise of genuine concern here. Sanwo olu can't deny not knowing the state of those buildings before now. So why wait till after winning his election for a second term.
Secondly, there are so many buildings around okokomaiko, ajagbandi and environs that are in similar or worst state than the ones in alaba international, what's he doing about them?
Instead demolishing why not ask them to quickly renovate accordingly. After completion now, they start reselling the shops to other people different from the existing occupants as we have seen in other places like teju oso market and alaba suru markets that have ultra modern buildings that can't be occupied rather people sell on the streets in front of these buildings cos of the outrageous costs |

betiy: I don't just understand how Nigerian law enforcements think at times, must everything be "regulate", "regulate"? Is it only in this country that people do dangerous pranks? Any one that can't use his senses when doing pranks and end's up seriously hurting someone, I believe we already have laws in place to deal with such persons. Must everything be "regulate"? What exactly are you guys regulating? Is like the police have forgotten we already have laws in this country, anybody that kills or hurt someone in the name of prank will go to jail, simple..So I no know wetin Una wan regulate..
There have been incessant cult killings all over the country lately, regulate that...
We have Fulani herdsman killing and raping people all over the country, kidnappings and all others, Una no see those one's to regulate, Na person wet dey pour people water they Una more important.. You really don't know understand the dangers associated with these pranks do you? You carry out a dangerous prank on a person with BP, before you end telling the person it's a prank, the person is already dead that's when you'll understand. The one I hate most is that poor content creator pouring people water. |
