IKON360:I meant Tottenham should have scored more than 5 goals. You made a point of Countinho hitting the bar twice. Tottenham on the other hand should have had at least 5 |
Adiwana:Can you type clearly please? |
IKON360:They should have scored more than 5 goals! |
Shitty second half from Barca. Unacceptable to be very honest. I don't care if we use team B or not, Spurs should not have out played us in the fvcking UCL right at our backyard. We were lucky, those EPL cvntards almost raped us. Kudos to Cilessen and Dembouz. The rest of the team needs to understand what it means playing in a Barca shirt |
Why is Napoli playing like this for Chrissake? Let's flush these useless EPL teams out abeg. |
Ahn... See Barca fans sensibly making cases for and against Suarez's inclusion in the team with sense. Abeg na this kind discussion dey sweet person. Not Arguing Oponunaldo is better than Paco Alcacer ![]() More importantly, Messi is leading Barca's charge in the UCL this season. 3 games, 3 MOM awards, 3 UEFA POW awards. Man is putting his sweat where is mouth is. I like what I'm seeing. I hope the team and the coach step up performances in KO stages so we win this thing. Messi cannot do it alone. I don't give a shiit if we are relegated in the la liga this season, just bring the UCL trophy home. |
Seems Coutinho and Rakitic are back!
|
Even the best teams have bad days. The boys will bounce back. Besides, it's pretty evident that Barca's attention is more on the UCL. It's totally different how we play in the league compared to the UCL. There's this sense of purpose and drive in each UCL match we've played this season...same can't be said of all matches played in the Laliga... I don't think anyone should really be worried at the moment. I'll start getting worried if we start losing or drawing in consecutive matches. This Barca team will still wipe Tottenham at the Camp Nou anytime any day. |
Some squad rotation guys...
|
Awesome01:Naa bro... I bash only those bastard anti Barca fans like Lord Shameless ![]() We argue to dis argue as Barca fans... "Messi" que un club |
Awesome01:You are a cule, I'll give you the benefit of a proper conversation. Check this screenshot of my previous post.

The Barca fans on this thread are probably the worst set of football fans on nairaland. The double mindedness, and double standard is so shamefully disgusting. Valverde is shit today, Barca is shit tomorrow. Dembele is an idiot today, he is a chairman tomorrow. Raki this, busi that.... If you are only supportive of this club when we win 7-0 every match, you're just an opportunist. Yes I said it! You should worry about the coach and players if we have a consecutive run of disappointing results. Moreso, it should be understood that having a pool of quality players at your disposal gives lots of headache for coaches when it comes to squad selection. If you play FM, you would understand it. Valverde won 3 fvcking matches this week, against very competitive teams... Using largely the same line up.... The man knows what exactly he is doing. When it is time to rotate, I believe he will rotate. So calm your fvcking balls and allow the coach do his fvcking job. Wait till the end of the season to judge his performances....if you can't wait till then, you can as well go throw your phone into the lagoon and stop spamming this precious thread with your ramblings ![]() |
Has anyone seen scholes interview? |
How Ciro Immobile got omitted from that Fraudon d'or list with AbdulKarimu Benzema included, I don't understand. |
Netfilix:He is trying to play the privilege card. I get it. I have time to address whatever I felt important to address. And if you read my post well too, I addressed the fact that Messi has paid his dues to barca. And more importantly, he is still playing at the core of barca despite Xavi and co gone! |
LordAdamX:Inasmuch as this is your opinion, I have a problem with this logic not only because it is prejudiced, but because it does not also make too much sense. Here's why. 1st, you make it sound like Barcelona did Messi a very huge favour by signing him. Completely disregarding the fact that it has been a very symbiotic relationship. Messi has reciprocated the faith the club had in him, by deciding to play his entire football career at the club. 2nd, you seem to suggest that Messi's ability to perform in the EPL should be judged on his performances against small teams in the said EPL. If this makes lots of sense, then it means that Cristiano Oponunaldo's last 2 Ballon dor's should not have been awarded to him because he didn't decimate a very defensive Sassuolo on a cold night, he instead scored a controversial penalty against Juventus, Serie A's very best. In fact, he should have been denied the Ballon d'or because he didn't score a hatrick against Hoffeinheim in the semis, instead he scored a hatrick against a Bayern Munich, the Bundesliga's very best. You seem to have forgotten that FC Barcelona decimated a team coached by Sir Alex twice, in which Messi won MOM both times. In case it skipped your knowledge, Sir Alex's Orthodox coaching is the very epitome of English football (defend, run, run, cross, and score). I say this with all due respect. You seem to forget Messi's single handed ruthlessness against Assnal, Man city, Chelsea, and recently Tottenham. And more importantly, Barcelona has not played possession as much as we used to in the days of Pep, Xavi, and co. But Messi's relevance to the team has not reduced when we play direct football. Lucho, and Valverde are proofs that Messi can play in a team that plays direct football and still be relevant. In fact, since barca started playing less possession, Messi has been the focal point of our play. Hence the tag, pass to Messi Fc. How then is it logical to conclude that all of these performances against EPL's best teams should be neglected, but instead he should play against a relegated stoke city coached by Mark Hughes? I am embarassed for you Lord Adam. And finally, Messi is the reason why Barcelona is still relevant in Europe till date. Something no other player can boast of! His fiercest rival, Oponunaldo has done well to prove himself in Man Utd, Real, and now Juve (All respect to him). But these clubs have done just well after he left. Man Utd only started to fall apart after Ferguson's retirement, Real Madrid will do just fine without him. In fact, they became only relevant in Europe due to Zidane's management which was simply to get the ball to oponunaldo in the 18 yard, while all he had to was tap in. This is not to discredit his hardwork, I'm just stating the obvious. Remove Messi from this barca, all you have left is Marcelo Bielsa's Atletic Bilbao; |
How many ex barca players turned football coaches play possession/pressing football style? I dare say only Cryuff and Guardiola! One is dead, the other coaches in EPL never to return to barca again (In his own words) Cules should wake up to the reality that not all coaches are naturally inclined to possess and press relentlessly with utmost precision, even if they played under the barca system. The best the coaches can do is to adapt to the barca system. But even in a situation where there is so much pressure to get results, it is understandable that sometimes, the barca philosophy is thrown to the winds in a bid to get results. For those who opine that EV does not develop players, or rotate players... How exactly he was he supposed to rotate a team full of average dimwits? Last season, we had Gomes, Aleix Vidal, Paco Alcacer, Lucas Digne, an injured Ousmane, a non registered Coutinho in the UCL, and an injured Rafinha. Nobody gave barca a chance last season, especially given the circumstances around Neymar's departure. This man had barca fans hoping for a fvcking treble, something Real Madrid and Oponunaldo couldn't dream of despite having better a squad depth. This season should be used to judge Ernesto, not last season. He has a better squad, with depth...he understands now that barca is a team with high expectations. I dare say again, that in a fast paced, and highly competitive football world, it is wisdom for a coach to prioritise results over "style" of play. If it is needed to set up a team to attack in order to win a game, so be it. If it is needed to go through route 1, or use counters...so be it. Real Madrid's triple UCL wins should make us understand that in the end, it is the win that counts. Messi and barca have had enough Ls already. If Enersto can give us another W, I'd be more than glad...even if it means we have to play like Athletico to get it |
I'm hearing Oponunaldo was sentenced for tax evasion...and that he'll pay fine instead of seeing a prison cell... I think there's something about tax laws in Spain that is fishy. But as usual, these bastard fans of oponualdo will not hold him by the standards they held messi. |
Oponunaldo is having the time of his life in probably his last world cup. Let him enjoy it. He's earned all his accolades. Messi will have his time too, probably later in the tournament... I'd rather have him have a slow start and enter beast mode when it matters than the other way round The past 3 seasons are a reminder that despite Messi's consistency over the the football season, Oponunaldo beat him to the Ballon d'or only because he stepped up in knock out stages of the UCL, despite having slow starts Calm down cules. Messi will have the final say |

Guys... You need to read this write up on how statistics in football do not truly paint the full picture! Read it, thank me later! http://www.futbaltalktics.com/single-post/2018/06/12/Statistics-in-Football-Relevant-or-Not |
Happy married life to the hero of the Remontanda

LethargiQue:I be barca fan o.. But you can't take away Zidane's achievements. Oponunaldo and co were basically shiiting their pants prior to this man's appointment. Yes Ancelotti gave them the Undecima, but disaster followed the following season... He is the reason they're this formidable in Europe again... Man practically achieved in 3 years what took barca 7 years. He's arguably the most successful coach in the last 10 years, alongside Pep of course He's a legend! |
Gracias Zidane... Real Madrid's best coach ever. #respecto
|
Oh the shame when come Saturday the 26th, these white fowls go trophyless ![]() |
When Messi and Oponunaldo hang their shirts... Only one thing will matter... Who the world thinks was the better. And we know the answer already! |
It's good iniesta is leaving. He has definitely paid his dues. Barca needs quality CB backup... Suarez needs serious competition up front... Barca needs a successor to Messi...maybe Dembouz, I'm not certain. Still a very good season if you ask me. 2/3 trophies isn't bad at all |
Let's hope Bayern does the "impossible" tomorrow. This season has been the season of comebacks... If Bayern can pull a juve on Madrid, and referee doesn't sell the match... Maybe Madrid can go trophy less. On second thoughts, I see them in the finals |
![]() A won weyrey gbogbo. See how they spammed this thread with trolling. Anyway it's not you people's fault. I have never seen a more disgraceful match like that Roma vs Barca. But it's football, shit happens. As things stand now, Messi will win the Ballon d'or on only two conditions 1. He wins the world cup with Argentina, 2. Either Roma or Bayern wins the UCL. Liverpool too cannot afford to win UCL, cause Salah does stand a chance of winning that Ballon d'or. As a messi fan, I'd rather he even wins it than oponunaldo ![]() |
You e-rats said; he couldn't score Neuer, he couldn't score Buffon, he couldn't score Cech, he couldn't score Chelsea. We all know that he eventually put y'all to shame ![]() He will win the world cup, and will silence y'all once and for all ![]() |
God save the king!
