Yes and no. Why? Kissing just like hugging can be used to show affection and fondness in which case it is not a sin; the fact that one may gain erec¤tion or sensual pleasure in the course of doing same. So when the sensual pleasure is a consequence of kissing done innocuosly, then no sin has been committed. (This happens mostly in ordinary kissing as opposed to french kissing.) BUT when a person kisses not as a sign of affection or fondness but with the intention of gaining sensual pleasure, (especially in french kissing) then to my mind a sin is committed. HOWEVER, it is usually counselled that members of the opposite sex who wish to remain single should abstain from exhibiting such signs of affection especially when alone lest they might be overtaken by lust which may lead to engaging in the main act. ALSO, one should understand and guard over oneself, as man may even gain an erection just by chatting or holding hands with a female. Prudence and discipline should be applied always. Shalom! |
In that case, information about Law in Nigeria may not be particularly handy. I really don't know what to tell you as there are myriad of things one may say about the course. Basically the course is bodacious and you will enjoy it if you have the passion. If you need any specific info about anything let me know. I can also link you up with pundits in the field should the need arise. Success in ur aspirations... |
SAFO: # confusedU are confused about what? |
beylinko: Men! Who is this guy? Cnt remember d last tym i read smtin lyk thisSorry, I didn't catch your drift. What were u trying to say? |
Messilo: I can only, respect med&sur graduate. How about Law graduates? |
razznaija: There is nothing special about being a graduate after all, there are thousands if not millions of graduates roaming around every street in Nigeria. Anyone can be a graduate, but its all about the knowledge that they acquired while they were in the University. Is your cousin late? |

*** Continues *** To my mind, you have to tell them explicitly what you want to do. Convince them as to why you guys should put a stop to the amorous affair. Have them know that it will be for the betterment of your future (ie you and them). Also inform them that you want to go back to God and cajole them as to why they may follow suit. Never forget to tell them that you really like and cherish them but that it is for the good of everyone that you guys jettison this malfeasance. Only through a firm resolve coupled with discipline can the above be achieved. Good luck! |
First off, I must remind you that you are not alone. There are other people having similar problem. There is more to life than sex. Stopping this will be sisyphean and onerous but it will pay off ultimately. One thing about sex is that it doesn't subject itself to the law of diminishing marginal utility. Thus, having sex regularly seldom diminishes the desire for it; rather reverse appears to be the case. In fact the more you indulge in it, the higher the tendency of experimenting with women of different sizes and shapes. In most cases you gain only fleeting, ephemeral and some minutes pleasure from it, after which you will be left empty, unsatisfied, conscience stricken and depressed. It is bodacious and cracking good that you have been able to identify this as something which has no bearing on your future. Because at this age your life's work is and should be your education having been enrolled in a varsity. It is expedient to note that there is time for everything and that time itself flies. That you want to stop this doesn't and shouldn't preclude you from having platonic relationship with women. But these women must not include these girls whom you have flings with; because the possibility of falling into the same temptation is ginormous. |
Mpetempe: Nigerian Educational System Is In Huge Shambles. 95% Blames On Government.Pardon me. But where is the indefinite article that should have preceded shambles-- shambles being a singular noun? |
hardbody: With your level of written English, I am not surprised that people around you think you have done so well, you must be sandwiched among mediocres. Having said that, where I stay and even my immediate family have rolled out so many professionals and professors that no one will bat an eye lid at the fact that you just managed a first degree. As I write, I have two masters degrees but the only thing that counts for me is the fact they seem to notice I am fairly successful as a lawyer and at my age. Bottom-line is, distinguish yourself and people will celebrate you, acquisition of first degree stopped being a big deal years back. Every family has at least one graduate, so what da phock are you yapping about. I am so incensed now. MtchewwwwwwwNice post. It's just that it see-sawed from humility to smugness and complacency. That word ''mediocre'' is grammatically aberrant. I will tell you why it is so if you want to know. It should be stated emphatically that 'no one is immune to solecism'. Nice post though! |
Sweetlemon: LMAO!What is hysterical? |
Adeniyi A.:I'm afraid. No word like 'slumiest' or phrase like 'most slumiest'. The word 'slum' is a noun, also a verb. Thanks. |
DANILSA: THANKS YOUNGKAHUNA FOR CORRECTING THE HOMOIDIOTA, YOU PROUDLY AND ARROGANTLY CAME TO DISGRACE THE GUY FOR HIS USE OF ANOTHER MAN'S LANGUAGE MEANWHILE YOU CAN'T EVEN SPELL THREAD, WHICH SKUL YOU CRASH SEF?He spelt it correctly now? |
Billyonaire: Cease e*j*a*c*u*l*a*t*i*n*g these innuendos. Its pathetic, the common mistakes you make.Which mistake? I think you are mistaken instead. |
Sweetlemon: My dear! That is no howler but a mere admissible peccadillo. So why the bedlam? |
O.T.I.S:Nairalanders with their superciliousness and megalomania. Didn't you catch the guy's drift. It's indubitable that the word graduate is used in the popular sense to mean 'one who has a varsity degree' So why being pernickety overmuch. |
Jutresbien: Not when the graduate can't tell the difference between there and theirThis is just a mere oversight and as such is admissible. The attitude of our pedantic and pedagogical ignoramuses in this site is becoming highly insufferable. |
Automatically, it gives you an edge over your peers who are not one say you decide to start business in a market where most of the traders are school leaver, automatically you will be a better candidate for secretarial duties and other posts. Same applies to myriad of situations. So if you have the opportunity of becoming one, what stops you? |

MainAttraction: So, my profile suggests that this is only my second post, but I used to frequent this site often a couple of years back. I decided to check it out again now that I have more free time, but could not remember my username and password, so I made another account. Anyway, I was a student when I used to come on here, but have recently just graduated from Uni on the 16th of this month. I have a B.S. in Psychology, with a minor in Biology. I'm applying to Law Schools and will be taking the LSAT in February. I just wanted to create this thread to see if there are any lawyers on this forum, or aspiring law students like myself. If so, feel free to leave any tips, suggestions, or recommendations. If you are a Lawyer/Law Student, do you enjoy your work? How was Law School? How did you prepare for the LSAT? Or anything else that you would like to share. Thanks!Hmmm! When you ask about lawyers or aspiring law students etc, I think you should be somewhat specific. Do u mean those in this country/abroad? |
It is execrable that Nigeria is rudderless. This move is quixotic and unfeasible and at best a hokum. Granted, averagely maturity may come with age. But this is relative. Were FRSC not green in road safety issues, the would have concentrated on schooling prospective commercial drivers on road safety signs and other things like the use of head lamp, indicator etc. |
I'm afraid, what do you mean by LSAT |
The girl is fly. But in the interview below: http://thenetng.com/2012/05/exclusive-genevieve’s-daughter-unveiled/ It was stated categorically that Genny had a daughter already in her twenties and a corper at the time the tidings were reported. They said she is called CHIMEBUKA. I doubted the authenticity of the above report, because it was nigh impossible for her to have given birth to someone of that age. THE PRESENT REPORT DOESN'T TALLY WITH THE INITIAL ONE. Some say her daughter is 16 and in the UK, yada yada yada. So I have qualms and misgivings as to its veracity too, having heard a lot of fabricated bunch of gibberish before. |
Never has anything great been achieved without danger. >Machiavelli. |
Our finest moments are most likely to occur when we are feeling deeply uncomfortable, unhapppy, unfulfilled. For it is only in such moments, propelled by discomfort that we are likely to step out of our ruts and start searching for different ways or truer answers. >Scott M. Peck. |
DANILSA: WOLE SOYINKA WHO PASSED OUT WITH THIRD CLASS AND LATTER BECAME ONE OF AFRICA'S BEST,IF NA TODAY, OMO POLICE SEF FOR REJECT SOYINKAAnd who said that Soyinka passed out with a third class? |
Teenage Money: Wit this ur gramma, Dnt Expect A Good Grade In English Language...Most Nairalanders are pedantic, pernickety and pedagogical ignoramuses. A typical case of butterflies thinking themselves birds. |

Beauty may attract a man but character will keep him. |
It is self evident that one doesn't need billions to be happy and live life to the fullest. It is also lucid that a woman musn't be intimidatingly pretty to make a man happy. |
