Ashirioluwa: If you intend to ship them to the US then don't buy them from Singapore because you will lose more money doing so.
Let us compare the cost of the iPhone 14 pro / 128GB as of today September 19 using the US apple store and Singapore apple store.
US Apple store / and other US retailers: $999 (Tax not included)
Singapore Apple store: S$1,649 (includes GST of approx. S$108.00). The final cost excluding tax is S$1541. This final cost of S$1541 is equivalent to US$1095
Even without tax, shipping, and US customs duty (if you ship it to the US) it cost more to buy it from Singapore.
Do your homework right. I already did my calculations. The IPhones from the US don't come with sim card so it's out of my plans. All the iphones you see in the market are from UK, Dubai and Hong Kong mostly. Plus I'll be able to claim the 7% GST while leaving Singapore |

TCD: Why not still bring them even with 20% tax. I assume tax is calculated based on using official CBN rates. If u buy each for $900 tax will be $180 x 483 official rate thats about 86k per device . I believe u plan to resell simply add that to yr margins. Hmm, this is another idea o. Are you sure the official rate for duty is 20%? Cos sometimes those criminal customs guys just slam you with any amount. If I am sure of all rates that will apply, i can calculate and if it will still be profitable paying the duty, I might even decide to import them in bulk (like 10pc) - if this will not be prohibited by the airlines themselves. |

Vocals: Seeing you with the latest launch in town is a flag if more than two. Your luggage would be subjected to further search.
Best bet is don't come with boxes(in this case you can't escape the fact that the phone doesnt have second hand value yet, so no excuse you will still pay 20% tax on each)
If just two are found on you, you can claim you got if for personal use, obliviously you can carry up to 2personal devices(phones) But you have to render you current device damaged or locked with passcode by your kids or PA, while you only access the phone via face ID which got damaged during a fall while in transit hence why you got yourself another device.
Don't give such excuse if carrying more than 2,else others would be seized and you might end up paying more. Thanks so much for this information. Helpful! I have decided I will just buy 2 only, unbox them and have the bare phones themselves in my pocket and put empty the boxes in my luggage. I can easily say one is for me and the other for my wife or even both for me sef (i can sha use two phones if i so wish). This hopefully should not be an issue. I also suspected anything above 2 will raise eyebrow. I don't know if there is a way to ship them to USA cheaply from Singapore so i can buy an extra 4 and ship to m USA address. |

sam4774: They will stress you in Naija when you get back. Shrink wrap your suitcase please oo, if possible roger them when you want to exit the airport because they will stress you unrealistically. In other news dont forget to collect your VAT refund form at the shop and collect your 7% VAT at the airport in Singapore before returning to naija. Wow, thanks for the information on the tax refund, i never knew about it. I will surely claim this. You sound like you are quite familiar with Singapore. Been there? I don't know if there is a way to ship them to USA cheaply from Singapore so i can buy an extra 4 and ship to m USA address. |

Vocals: You will definitely pay import dues on every piece of the device you are coming with aside it's not brand with box (your personal device). Anyother device from this you will pay I am thinking of maybe just unbox then, put the bare phones in my pocket or jacket and put the phone boxes in my luggage |

Ashirioluwa: The only problem will be Nigerian customs if they see the phones. They will be expecting bribe or they will expect you to pay customs duty since it is more than one.
What you can do is to rap it in one of your clothes then hide it in your carryon bag.
Don’t put the phones in your checked bag because you will not see the phones when you get to Nigeria. The airport rats will remove it if you do. Thanks for the Solid advice. My fear came after reading this https://guardian.ng/business-services/imported-personal-item-above-n50000-attracts-duty-says-customs/By the way, is it that they don't check the carry on/hand luggage? |

Ifeoba: You're expected to declare any cash on you that is $2000 and above with Nigeria immigration at the airport. You'll fill a form in that regard, but you can have more than that in your dollar Master card if you have one. It's a regular to guard against money laundering. I hope this answers your question though this is not what this platform is meant for. It is not the cash I am concerned about. As you said I will most likely not be carrying cash when going. My concern is with the phones when traveling with them in my luggage. Is there a chance of, say customs bringing up issues or asking to pay import duty or anything like that on the phones. |

Please I have a question for those who travel often in and out of the country. I will be going to Singapore in the 26th of Sept for 5 days and I intend to buy some of the new IPhone 14s when coming back. I will walk into official Apple store and pay cash. I want to know if there is any chance of having issues with immigration/customs at any of the airports (Singapore, Doha or Nigeria). Just like 6 or 7 Phones. I will obviously have my proof of purchase and they will be inside my luggage. Do they give issues in such cases please or I am good to go? Thanks |

erico2k2: well you can try and put ur hands in front of an extractor, not that hot but enough to alter the structure of the plastic abi u nor think so? You may be right. It's not my line. But I just think, since it's not the primary material that will conduct the heat from the extractor. There is another one that will take heat from extractor that will then be connected to this plastic inside the POP. I'm thinking by the time it gets up and especially the journey through the pipe outside, temp may have reduced. But I get your point, makes sense. We used what was recommended |

erico2k2: Bad Materia of choice, That pipe should have been metal. Plastic expand more rapidly when placed under heat strain! I don't think this will undergo any heat strain beyond it's capacity. |

Rany4all: The designs are lovely Sir. I have a question though... In the kitchen picture you shared, what is the use of the PVC pipe sticking through the POP? I assume it's for the cooker hood, right? If yes, what size of pipe is it and will the pipe just open up into the roof void or channelled somewhere outside the roof? It's a 6inch Pipe and it goes to that window side and burst outside. So comes straight from outside through that window side and a bend is put at that point that made it face downwards. Yes it's for the kitchen extractor. It will eventually be hidden by the cabinet. That one that comes out will even be removed later, it's just there so the POP guys know where to leave the hole. See the pix before POP was done.

mamawa123: Are flight tickets included in the 760k? My friend obtained the visa but was unable to find cheap tickets. The cheapest he saw so far for September vacation trip was about 1.3 million for tickets alone.
He doesn’t use agent.
Please where did you get the tickets from? Flight ticket is not included. It includes 3 Night Hotel, Visa fee, Airport transfer, half day tour and their service charge. Flight is very expensive now. Last week of September is a very busy time in Singapore. There is the Asia Crypto week holding there and also the F1 Grand Prix happening so flight currently is as high as $3500+ for economy, and still rising. I booked it for $1980 on trip.com Hotel cost too has tripped. |

I never said N400/sqm with spacer. N400/sqm is what we have agreed on the job since 2 weeks ago. I'm just learning about spacer tonight and I'm asking what will be a fair amount to increase the labour to, if I insist on him using spacers for a perfect job. Clear? |

They prefer sharp sharp work. sonnie10: Plastic toothpicks Cold141114: That's not what spacers are like....they cross like plastic and has sizes in different 2mm 4mm 6mm e.t.c
If a tiler is using anything like plastic tooth pick....maybe it's just for using sake....... Oh wow. Didn't know about it. Just checked it online. I already have a Tiler we've agreed on N400/sqm, Will labour cost increase considerably if I insist on my Tiler using it? If yes, what will be a fair addition in that case, just to ensure perfect work. And will I be the one to buy it or it's part of their materials for work. |

sonnie10: But why would the use of spacer affect the price of the job? Spacer is very cheap, its just laziness and lack of attention to details that would make some people not use it. Cold141114: Yes sir, it's tiler work to give neat work like this...... also the tiles quality too and use of spacers........using spacers for works are not common like that and it's reason why you see that work special.......plus work like this are not what you will get at cheap price....most tiler that takes #300/square meters will not give you this type of lay..... Please what are the spacers and what's it used for? |

mamawa123: A cancellation fee of $100 is not bad, but trust me, I am not made to throw away my hard-earned money. Anyway, best of luck. The reason I did this is, the flight ticket is part of the requirements for the visa application as you know. Yes i couldn't have used any of these reservation sites to get itinerary but every 2 days flight cost to Singapore has been increasing sharply. When I started this plan early in the year, flight was $1200. Below is the latest price. I saw it luckily for $1950 on trip.com so I decided it lock it down. Who knows what will be the price in a few weeks. It's worth risking $100 than paying maybe $1000 more later. Update: The exact flight I booked for $1950 on the same site on Friday is now $2850
