Thanks very much for your input. There is actually provision; piping and wiring for 2 ACs, it's just the cost if buying 2 ACs for just our room that's a thing. But I'll buy a 2 HP first and see. It'll be at the position right above the bed. As much as we don't like heat, We actually don't like very cold AC too. We hardly ever set them below 24.

I actually don't need conditioned air in the closet. I even wished there was a door that separated it from the room so cold air doesn't escape inside the closet as nobody lives/stays there.

The quality might be different. Compare the thickness for both very well, because some could be really thin.
But if they are the same, why worry? Just get it from the better deal store.

From what I could see, the thinness was same. But will still confirm from both of them again on Monday. Thinking of checking a third and 4th place too

Please I have a small confusion on my hands that I need explanation on.
I was at Dei Dei building material market in Abuja today to buy marble slab for kitchen cabinet. Attached is the Tiler's calculation.

1st Place I went is a shop I bought all my tiles and several other things in the past. They said they sell per sheet and each sheet is N35,000 and a sheet is about 4.5 sqm. So I can buy 2 sheets which will be N70,000.

The 2nd place I went got me confused as they said their own is N20,000 per sqm meaning my total will be N140,000. This was the same category of Nigerian marble. I tried to get clarification and asked how many sqm is in a sheet and he also said 4.5. I asked for price of sheet and he still said 20k. Later in trying to calculate, I got really confused and left.

Can anyone clarify which of them was correct and how exactly is marble sold, per sheet or per sqm and what's the avg price of Nigerian type. From the attachment, my requirement is 6.767 sqm, let's say ~ 7 sqm.

It will 2HP AC can cover an area up to 25msq and looking at the dimension the total area is less than 25msq. You are good to go for the 2HP.

Thank you. My concern is the fact that the closet doesn't have a door so alot of the cold air will be going into that place too.

Please is one 2HP Inverter AC manageable for this Master room?
Note that the door has been moved from right after the stairs to the main entrance of the room itself (after that sink) so the lounge is separated.

He's charging N54,000 for transportation and installation but it's installation of both the rails and the 3 bathroom cubicles.

Please what is the average cost of these stair rails. I got a quote of between 20 - 23k per meter for the ones I uploaded here, depending on design. Is it a fair price?

Good afternoon my chairman.
A drum of the floor paint is N30000. I usually say 2 years with vehicle traffic but I've been opportuned to return to a house we supplied and painted over 4 years ago and it's still very ok.
Although we used water based sealant as an extra layer of protection and to give sheen to the finish.
With the sealant, the client wash it periodically.
I recommend using mop stick and mild soap to clean the floor as brush may gradually abrade the surface.
The sealant is N40000 and a drum of it is needed for every 2 to 3 drums of floor paint and it's optional but I believe it improves durability and cleanability.

Do not use MDF for the cabinet carcass, rather use HDF for the carcass and mdf for the doors if you want to save cost.

If you can share the design and size of the kitchen, I can give you a guide.

Thanks guys for your reply. Here are pictures of the kitchen. Only the side with the window and sink will not have cabinets but all the other three sides will have full cabinet to the top. And then a small island too.

Honestly I will really have loved to do HDF too but I am hearing N33,000 in Abuja for HDF. Is it because of water damage you advice not to use MDF? Will it be really bad even with the mixture of the high gloss board that will be used. Also note that marble will be used on the top of the cabinets all round and the island too. This was not included in the quote. I am thinking the marble will provide some projection against water splashes. Let me know what you think.

So i noticed my screeder first of all used black Cement to do a first layer of screeding, then did a second layer with the white one. I'm only familiar with that white one, is this a new method these days? Or is it because of dampness to make it more durable?

Hello house. My Tiler should be done with his work by tomorrow or next at the most. I'll like to know, is it their job to sweep and clean the tile before they go? Because most places are very dirty with sand currently. I want to know before they leave so I can insist they clean up before going.
