Quoting the bible makes it easier to communicate with people who believe that it's the word of God. Most of the verses I quote are verses I remember from when I was a Christian, but I still read the bible occasionally as an influential and funny collection of fictional literature.

Every thing in science could be wrong, but this has nothing to do with the word "theory". The scientific meaning of "theory" is different from what you think. The thing about evolution is that scientists have been studying it for 147 years. 147 years!! Many religious scientists have been trying to disprove it in all that time, and they have achieved nothing but woeful failure. Instead of disproving it, we've gotten more and more evidence supporting it. Any theory that remains standing after facing so much hostile scrutiny for so long, must be very close to an absolute fact. Imagine a boxer who has been fighting tough opponents for decades and remains undefeated. Would you doubt that he's the strongest?

It bothers me when I see religious people making fools of themselves by trying to disprove evolution, because they perceive a conflict between their religious views and the scientific theory. You should know that many Christians and Muslims in developed countries accept evolution as a fact. They believe that God created everything but evolution is the tool that God used to do the work. If prayer works, you should be able to ask God to do things that only God can do. Things that can't possibly happen by chance, e.g:

* To grow a major human body part that is completely nonexistent, such as a missing eyeball or an amputated limb, live on CNN & FOX.

* To empower you to pick up one of the huge rocks at Olumo in Abeokuta, and cast it into the sea as Jesus promised in Matthew 17:20.

* To grant you the ability to fly like a bird, so you can leap from the top of the Cocoa house, do some aerial stunts, and then land safely.

* To bless a bowl of sand soaked in petrol and turn it into garri and sweet milk in your stomach as you eat the sand and drink the fuel.

Are you required to pray elaborately five times a day with your head on the floor and your ass in the air while facing a particular direction? Are you required to cover your body from head to toe even on a hot afternoon in the desert? Could you be stoned to death for being raped, or have your hands amputated for petty theft? Are you forbidden from tasting wine or pork or listening to any music that uses instruments? If none of the above is true, then maybe the standards of your religion aren't that high?

Why not use the little money you have to buy out or lease the property from the people who want to evict you? Money is what everyone is looking for including those naughty people. I would be careful about borrowing money in an Emefiele economy.
