The most wonderful man you have met in the world is an atheist. That's great! You should convert to atheism so you can be equally wonderful. |
Doublez000:If God is real, surely he'll know whether your belief is genuine or not? |
adjoviomole:But that's not true. The fossil records show that cows and whales and other animals have evolved. We have the bones of their ancestors. |
sholay2011:What do the demons hope to accomplish by scratching the little girl's back at night? Is it to make the parents more prayerful since that's how Nigerians react to such things? |
4everGod1:I was thinking that light scratches e.g. rubbing your back against the sheets at night can cause deep scratch lines if you have Dermatographia. You seem to be an expert on skin lines. How many cases have you seen? How did you rule out allergies? What's the cause in your view? |
adjoviomole:What's the religious relevance of these endless biology questions? Will the details of how seals evolved change your view on evolution? |
adjoviomole:This page is a good starting point for answers to all your questions: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evolution_of_cetaceans |
Their was no witness to evolution, no one saw the lightning that struck d pond filled with bacteria. Is there any witness to creation? Did anyone see God creating the 'heavens and the earth' and forming man from dust? Do you have the video? |
One of the symptoms of religion is that it causes people to seek spiritual solutions to purely medical problems. Dermatographia is a condition also known as skin writing. When people who have dermatographia lightly scratch their skin, the scratches redden into a raised wheal similar to hives. These marks usually disappear within 30 minutes. The cause of dermatographia is unknown, but it can be triggered in some people by infections, emotional upset or medications such as penicillin. https://www.drugs.com/mcd/images/image_popup/DS00755_IM02553_mcdc7_dermatographiathu_jpg.png Most people who have dermatographia don't seek treatment. If your signs and symptoms are especially bothersome, your doctor may recommend allergy medications such as cetirizine (Zyrtec) or diphenhydramine (Benadryl). https://www.drugs.com/mcd/dermatographia |
adjoviomole:Whales and dolphins (which evolved from land animals) don't have gills. They breath through modified nostrils at the top of their heads, known as blowholes. They can hold their breath much better than we can, but if they can't get to the surface to breathe, they will drown, just like us. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wkX6Qn1XeBs |
adjoviomole:They moved into water because they developed mutations that allowed them to satisfy their nutritional needs by eating fish and plankton. 4everGod1:Actually, you don't have to be an expert on evolution to respond to the religiously motivated criticism of evolution that we often see here. |
4everGod1:It doesn't sound crazy to the vast majority of scientists, particularly biologists, who are very intelligent and rational people. So DNA can help fast track everything and in the process we pass through looking a cell to fishlike to then human all in 9 months yet you say evolution helps us adapt by altering certain features like giving fish legs right? So the baby in the womb was it conceived and start growing with legs in the womb? Remember ot began from a simple single cell so to you thats not what evolution depicts.Evolution alters the features of animals by changing the DNA code that determines what they will grow up to become. The process of altering the DNA is driven by random mutations and natural selection, which is slow. The process of development of an animal from DNA is fast. You also mentioned natural selection....Evolutionists declare that man is the pinnacle of evolution yet via the same law of natural selection man could not borrow the best from all other of his evolutionary processes. This is actually more of an argument against creation and intelligent design. The bible teaches that man was created in the image of a perfect God, so it must be baffling to you as a believer that God hasn't designed us to have the best eyesight, smell, jaw strength, regeneration, etc. The theory of evolution says nothing about man being the pinnacle of evolution. Some scientists would argue that bacteria are the 'pinnacle' of evolution because they are the most abundant creatures on earth. There are more bacterial cells than human cells in the body of a human. We don't have the best eyesight, smell, hearing, strength, healing, etc because the mutations to improve these features either never happened or didn't improve our chances of survival when they happened. Evolution is a process riddled with imperfections. It's not divine design. when you reason it deeply I am sure even you would have doubts about evolution as its filled with suppositions and probabilities and outlandish assumptions with questionable or no proof besides the cloak and dagger story of it taking billions of years to happen. For me it's easy to accept 'suppositions' that make perfect sense, are supported by abundant evidence, and are accepted by most scientists. So if we as humans are billions of years from the first evolutionary process this clearly states that we are still evolving which was why I I gave the example of human reproduction..... If 50 million people 1000yrs ago began reproducing then by now we would have had 250million or more reproductive cycles individually yet with no evolutionary change in sight or even the slightest hint of it.We have seen some evolutionary changes. I mean, why do different ethnicities look so different when we all come from the same ancestor(s)? |
Ochedi:How come Jesus, who is regarded as the Son of God himself, didn't have that special grace? Who is more anointed than Jesus? |
Why do you believe it's a cobra? |
4everGod1:This is a baffling question. Evolution alters DNA, of course. We are not to be compared to a computer system. We are 10000000 times more complex. If we can evolve from a single cell in 9 months with the aid of DNA as you put it then at what point in the evolutionary process did DNA come into play.We don't evolve from a single cell in 9 months. The DNA contains a biological code that makes a fertilized egg develop into a baby and after the baby is born, guides the development of the baby into an adult. What the process of evolution does is that, it takes the software for a particular animal and then alters it so it would develop into something that can survive better in a particular environment. So you could have a fish, and then the routine that develops the fin is altered so it develops legs instead. The routine for the tail could be halted if it's not needed. Different animals can look very similar in the womb due to the fact that all animals run modified versions of the same original DNA "software". Plus if DNA did come into play then surely evolution should not have taken billions of yearsDNA is written not by a programmer but by random mutations and natural selection, which take a lot of time to develop major features. |
Les:Knowing that the bible is riddled with errors, how can you be sure that the key verses you rely on for your salvation are not also erroneous? |
4everGod1:DNA is, among other things, is a biological "software" that guides the process of turning an embryo into a full grown animal. Evolution primarily alters this development process. It's intuitive that "writing" a piece of software takes much longer than "running" it after it's been written. 4everGod1:https://www.google.com.ng/search?q=lanugo+function "It helps to hold the vernix in place to ensure your baby's delicate skin doesn't become chapped by the long immersion in amniotic fluid." |
4everGod1:Actually, a bunch of naked people moving into current Eskimo territory would have just died. A slightly less unrealistic scenario is if we never developed the ability to make clothes to insulate our bodies. In that case, we would probably have evolved to grow thick fur for winter. if this were to be the case then how is it that all babies regardless of their region while in the womb have a fur like covering called Lanugo and this helps keep them warm while in the womb and they lose this fur around the 32nd to 36th week before birth....including those of eskimo babies...Isnt it logical and proper for evolution under natural selection to retain the fur of eskimo babies?Lanugo has nothing to do with keeping babies warm. Being inside the body of a warm-blooded, fully-clothed mother is what does that. |
It's very sad that this is the only way that this man and woman could get any human affection in their lives. I hope they have condoms ... ![]() |
4everGod1:They won't evolve fur on their bare skins unless hairiness increases an Eskimo's chance of survival. Since they have clothes, this isn't the case. |
4everGod1:No, that's wrong. The big brain evolved in Africa. The first eskimos who moved to the north pole already had the ability to make clothes. |
adjoviomole:Actually, lots of fish have kidneys: http://kidneys-are-us.weebly.com/fish.html |
adjoviomole:The Eskimos don't need to grow their own fur because evolution has already given them the ability to hunt animals and wear their fur. |
Ouwanisola:which network? |
I don't even know where to start. |
please get us the video. it must have been a terrible experience for the lady. To be slapped by a pastor in front of a congregation for such a silly reason. |
It's not about being choosy; its far better to be choosy and marry the right person. You probably aren't looking in the right places. Be tactical. |
Unbelief is the bomb, bro. |
Yes. Your phone should be silent in church, not switched off, by the way. |
ChemicalReaction:So that they will not be scammed. |
WORLDPEACE:May those communists be forever bleeped for giving ammunition to dishonest demagogues. |
GidiQuotes:If you promote yourself on TV as a hired assasin, the law will come after you. That's essentially what he did from the POV of someone who believes black magic is real. |
