Youtube recommended this video to me this afternoon because I've been watching the Benny Hinn in Nigeria videos:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OcB8IfgXmak Anita is cute but she's not a very good actress. I fail to get the impression that the Holy Spirit is really turning her like a screwdriver.
marsoden: 1 Corinthians 2 vs 14 says " But the natural man receiveth not the things of the spirit : for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, for they are spiritually discerned." No matter how much you tend to make scorn of the word of God, they can never make meaning unto you until you inquire sincerely from the Holy Spirit.
You believe that (1) God created the human brain, and also (2) inspired the bible. Why would he make them so incompatible with each other?
Scholar8200: This wrong notion is based on hearsay and even contradicts the Bible! How did the people understand them in Acts 2:8-11 if what was spoken was language of angels?
That was supposed to be unique. The tongues that spirit-filled Christians speak nowadays are known to not correspond to human languages.
naijadeyhia: I suppose you have heard all the tongues spoken by all the spirit filled believers worldwide and have done a comparison or perhaps you also speak in tongues yourself.
I heard at least 6 distinct 'tongues of angels' while watching a short documentary about speaking in tongues. That's already 5 too many.
a baby born today does he speak the language of an adult? A baby believers tongues is it at the stage of a matured believer because I do know there is the stage of groanings and not words being uttered.
If the words spoken by people who have been filled by the Holy Spirit come from the Holy Spirit, who isn't a baby, then this shouldn't apply.
GoodMuyis: According to Bible Angel are Ministering Spirit, hence they interact with we Human. Now that we human has diverse language, the angels too need to have diversification of language so as to be able to communicate to people in their Jurisdiction (but I suppose angel should be able to speak all human language, if given the authority).
This implies that the tongues spoken by Christians are human languages. But that's not the case, which is why pastors don't make that claim.
We are told that when people speak in tongues or sing/pray in the spirit, they are speaking in the 'tongues of angels' and not human languages. However, we know that the tongues spoken by millions of spirit-filled Christians are quite unique. This implies that angels have millions of languages. This sounds very wrong, because it suggests that heaven is a place of confusion. If all angels are united under God's leadership, one would expect all of them to speak the same language. I can't think of any reason why God's angels would have so many languages. Can you?
Eleniyan15: They did not eat it just burn it, the were saying some kind of superstition talk like that...and what got me nervous kindoff was because a cameraman use his camera to take the picture but it was blur whenever he snap the owl!!!!
The owl scares people because (1) Its face looks human, unlike most birds; (2) It's active at night. That's the root of the superstitions. As for the cameraman who couldn't snap the owl, the most likely explanation is that he could not keep his hands steady due to his fear.
Please release it back into the wild. Where will you get the kind of food it needs? Pls give them some money and release the poor creature. While you still have it you can try feeding it with cockroaches; but not the ones that were killed with insecticide. Just release the poor creature.
Julian08: Just what kind of evidence can we all agree on to be a good evidence for the existence of a god? (This question is particularly for the atheist on here.)
Here's one:
Seun: If prayer works, you should be able to ask God to do things that only God can do. Things that can't possibly happen by chance, e.g:
* To grow a major human body part that is completely nonexistent, such as a missing eyeball or an amputated limb, live on CNN & FOX.
* To empower you to pick up one of the huge rocks at Olumo in Abeokuta, and cast it into the sea as Jesus promised in Matthew 17:20.
* To grant you the ability to fly like a bird, so you can leap from the top of the Cocoa house, do some aerial stunts, and then land safely.
* To bless a bowl of sand soaked in petrol and turn it into garri and sweet milk in your stomach as you eat the sand and drink the fuel.
* To etch the details of His Unified Field Theory of Physics on pure diamond tablets and drop them at any popular church or mosque.
* To rearrange a few hundred stars to spell the words Jesus Is Lord or Allah so that anyone with a telescope will be able to read it.
Another one: If God exists, he knows exactly what he must do to convince every single human being of his existence. So why won't he do it?
Horpz24: The quinine intake has caused you a slow auditory response which is ofcourse, affecting your hearing abilities & needs to be taken care of early enough.
Stop posting your numbers. What is the remedy for the slow auditory response. Post it here for all to be educated & not scammed. Thanks.
Blessedmum: Hmmm.......can't believe he is gone. I lost my dad yesternight. The only consolation is that he got to see his grandson before he left. Rest in peace dad
KingEbukasBlog: RaphieMontella , an atheist , listed all the wars he could think of and claimed Christianity led to those wars . I didn't see you cautioning him bro .
Here's the thing , as long as atheists keep blaming Christianity for any wrong whatsoever , the atheist states (communist states) always come up as proof that atheism is never the answer .
And the ignorant Richard Dawkins has also claimed on his website that atheism shouldn't be blamed for the killings . Can you imagine that bro ?
This is about the rules of the forum. Don't break them.
Kalatium: I only said speciation is not a guarantee of macroevolution
Which is utter nonsense, at best. It's like saying that being tall is no guarantee of height. CoolUsername has defeated your argument.
Kalatium: Some are trying to say that evolution is different from abiogenesis, big bang and other cosmic evolution, but the fact is that they are wrong. They confuse biological evolution with evolution itself.
Apologists love to mess with the definitions of key words to create an atmosphere of confusion in which their nonsensical ideas can thrive. The theory of evolution, abiogenesis, the big bang theory, and star formation are very different and no sane purpose is served by conflating them.
Though Dawkins wasn’t a part of the interview process, and researchers didn’t ask about him, 48 of the 137 British scientists they spoke to mentioned Dawkins. Of those 48 that referenced him, 80 per cent said they thought that Dawkins misrepresents science and scientists in his books and public speeches, according to the study by Rice University, Texas.
Mathematically, that means just 80% of (48 / 137) = 28% of the scientists interviewed brought up Dawkins and "said they thought Dawkins misrepresents science and scientists". Note that this is not even the same as saying 28% 'dislike' Richard Dawkins. That's an extrapolation. Also note that this tells us nothing about the views of the (137-48)/137 = 65% of the scientists who didn't bring up Richard Dawkins. It's quite possible that the majority of those 65% actually 'love' Richard Dawkins. Haters are more likely to bring up a topic that no one asked about.
KingEbukasBlog: Unless atheists stop blaming religion for every evil , I won't stop talking about communism . Communism is still very much active in China and North Korea - their ideologies exposes how inherently nefarious atheism is .
Cheers to the logical atheists , Cheers to communism .
And Richard Dawkins ? That atheist high priest ? You obsequious atheists venerate that dude - always listening and regurgitating whatever he says . Why ?
This thread is about Richard Dawkins so if he is not a communist then I don't see why we should be talking about communism on this thread.
What's Kalatium's definition of macroevolution, since he is now saying "speciation does not guarantee macroevolution"? I don't know how we could possibly proceed without a definition of that.
Godgay: I am an agnostic but I dislike Dawkins and the rest of its militant atheist parade
That's like saying "I am a woman but I hate feminists". No one has fought harder and longer for your right to come out as an agnostic.
felixomor: The person in question actually became popular by spewing hate for God and everybody that has anything to do with God.
There's a difference between boldly speaking out against a belief that is popular, false, and harmful, and spewing hate. He doesn't spew hate.
winner01: I don't know Richard Dawkins personally, but I know he is deeply angry. I also dont think any sane person would be happy with a man who incites people against each other by advising some to mock and ridicule religious people with hatred and contempt. If someone is truly sick, do you mock such person. I think not. I dont hate him, but i definitely wont incite people to hate on another simply because they dont share my views.
Dawkins never said that atheists should hate religious people. You're putting words into his mouth. This is lying for Jesus. I think he made a mistake, though. He should have said "mock their irrational beliefs" instead of saying "mock them". Mock the belief, not the believers. Mockery is needed because some people are so thick-skulled that it wouldn't even occur to them that their beliefs could be wrong without mockery.
Kalatium: It's not that I am denying that it happens, but evidences for microevolution are not evidence for macroevolution. Speciation does not guarantee macroevolution. We are still yet to observe macroevolution.
If speciation isn't macro-evolution, then what is macroevolution? Can you elaborate on what you'd accept as direct evidence for macroevolution?
