You can advertise herbal medicines that are NAFDAC approved but you must not claim that they can cure ailments that NAFDAC did not say that they can cure. You cannot register your herbal medicine as a food supplement and then advertise it on Nairaland as a cure for cancer.

We do! We allow ads to open in new Windows if users request it using ctrl-click on their computers or a long press on their mobile devices. What we don't do is force ads to open in a new window whether the user wants it or not. We respect the user's choice.

I've configured the forwarding already & used it before, but I have lost important mails because of it, so I prefer to use the gmail account directly. We are having some issues with the design. We are not satisfied with the ways of implementing home page ads that we have considered. It may be that the best way to target a wide audience will be to place your ads on the 10 or 20 or 30 top boards on the forum. These top boards are responsible for most of our traffic. If you place your ads on 10 to 30 of them, your ads will be seen by practically every Nairaland member, which is probably the main reason why you want to target the home page.

That would be the religion section,which has 3 serious Christian moderators. www.nairaland.com/religion

If you want to promote a Christian programme or try to convert atheists, you can target that section. You can also target the Islam section if you wish to evangelize to muslims.

WildChild00: This new AD method is commendable and far more better than the previous one, if I will wanna place AD, using this plantform, I should be targeting the days the Super Eagles are playing matches, lots and lots of viewers on that day.

Actually, you should target the sections where your customers are most likely to be found, and you wont gain much by targeting particular days with more traffic because you will probably be charged more on those days. The best advert strategy is one where you advertise all the time and target the sections where your potential customers are most likely to be found.

We will conduct a banner ad design contest very soon, and as usual, we will offer advertising credits to the winners so they can get customers.

ludot: Nice improvements but I have questions. 6 slots for adverts when like 20 people have paid.
Let's say the adverts are rotated, that means my advert won't be there for a full day. Why then should I pay per day or per week.

Only 6 advertisers will be able to place ads in a section at the same time. If 6 advertisers have placed ads, then other advertisers will have to wait!

Consider PPI or PPC as way of charging.

We considered PPC and PPI, and we will certainly continue to consider them. Our current system actually takes impressions into consideration.
