Is there strong demand for a beauty salon in your area? Is the nearest beauty salon doing well? Can you do much better?
IslamRe: Muslims: How To Make Your Husband Happy by Seun(mod): 12:00pm On Feb 20, 2013
maclatunji: You are someone that took the decision to move to this new Nairaland against the wishes of the majority because you knew it was the right decision.
I could only do that because Nairaland is my property. Are you suggesting that every family is the husband's property? cheesy

maclatunji: Based on this, why would she think that submitting to the love her life would translate to him misusing his authority and abusing her?.
Because power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely?

mr.drizzy:
Q.whats ur reason for hating her
Freiburger: The way people uses the word hate these days. shocked
You guys shouldn't kill yourselves because I used the words "hate". its obviously a hyperbole. Of course, I never actually hated her. I don't even dislike her. I just consider her to be far less significant than people made her out to be. Listening to her, I'm impressed that the undeserved attention she gets has not made her haughty. That's what I meant. no offence intended.
IslamRe: Seun's Comment On The Warning On The Islam Section by Seun(mod): 4:19pm On Feb 19, 2013
Are you telling me that Maclatunji's way of moderating Islamic is not admirable? or was the statement that he placed on the section is invasive to you and Nairaland in general?
I think Maclatunji is doing a good job. He is not responsible for the warning statement; that was added by me to warn non-Muslims.

This interview made me hate her a bit less. She's very polite and sounds like a good-natured person.
LiteratureRe: NYSC: National Year Of Sex And Comfort <<<Adventure of the year: 2013 Awards >>> by Seun(mod): 4:06pm On Feb 19, 2013
HotNaijaBabe: You just reminded me of a day far back in my past:
I was in Pri. 5 and less than 10 years old. I had started writing by then. So, on a very quiet Saturday I sat in the kitchen, closed the door and proceeded to write an erotic story as i always do. Well, I started this story( about a lost princess in the forest who almost got drowned in the river until a prince rescued her and gave a very delicious f.uc.k right there in the water).
Unfortunately, a guest came visiting and she kept knocking on our door with no reply, she came in but I was too engrossed in my own writing to notice her.. She opened the kitchen door, crept in on me and snatched my journal from my hands..
Needless to say the humiliation I went through when she later showed everyone in my house that 'sinful' story I wrote. Lol. Though they praised my writing skills, my dad warned me never to write such 'nonsense' or think about it at that tender age. grin

#So, u see gluv, the thing dey our blood oh. And pls u can call me HNB.
are you a writer now?

truth4meal: I so believe dis garbage will make d frontpage with dis stupid heading.
I corrected the title before putting it on the home page. I used a direct quote by Buhari "I will never quit politics as far as I live".
IslamRe: Lodge Your Complaints Here by Seun(mod):
There is no Christian and Atheist forum. We believe Christians and atheists can debate themselves without resorting to violence.
Quite a few muslims have felt that what I meant above is that muslims are violent. This was not what I meant to say, but my words came out wrong. Most muslims I have interacted with are very nice & gentle and not violent or aggressive. For example, mukina2, Jarus, deols, and maybe maclatunji. But the problem is that in the muslim community, there are quite a few extremists who tend to react aggressively to any perceived insult against Islam. Someone suggested that a holy prophet would marry a beauty queen and people were killed. Someone in Europe published a satirical cartoon and people were killed. We do not want Nairaland to be responsible for such deaths. That's why we have to warn people.

snubish: ah Seun, no hard feelings really; I'm okay with mac addressing me precisely and directly without pretensions. still, I feel the section was perfect as it was without the additional warning.
The section may have been perfect for you, but it was not perfect for the people who got banned because they were not fully informed.

The question was rather dumb. It's easy to overlook that because she is fighting for the right side. She was just performing for the press.
RomanceRe: Whom Would You Rather Marry? by Seun(mod): 3:13pm On Feb 18, 2013
The problem is with the measurement
I think that if the difference in the "love level" is obvious, then it's not going to work. If it's difficult to measure it, then it's not obvious.

RomanceRe: Whom Would You Rather Marry? by Seun(mod): 2:47pm On Feb 18, 2013
My answer to your question is "none of the above". I would avoid a one-sided relationship where one person obviously loves the other much more. I think such a relationship is unfair to the person who is loved less, regardless of whether that person is me or my partner. I would wait for someone who loves me approximately as much as I love her, and whose long term goals are compatible with and complement mine. It's selfish to go into a marriage knowing that you don't love your spouse as much as he/she loves you. And it's foolish to go into marriage knowing that your partner doesn't love you as much as you love him/her. I think an unbalanced marriage is bound to be unhappy.

Note: A person who loves you more today may love you less tomorrow. You may love a person you love more today less tomorrow. Let's keep that in mind!
