Politics › Re: Nigerian Govt. Companies Listed For Privatization by Seun(mod): 2:47am On Mar 31, 2007
I have been touting privatization as the answer, but that's only part of it. The true answer is deregulation. Selling a public monopoly to a Nigerian company is not all: we need other companies competing with that monopoly.
Family › Re: Balancing Your Job And Your Home (Wives) by Seun(mod): 11:47pm On Mar 30, 2007
@hot chic: You should never marry a man that behaves the way you have described.
Instead of marrying such a man, you should just remain single, make money, and adopt a cute orphan.

I don't understand why so many women are ready to sacrifice their potential in order to get a sperm donor. wink
Family › Re: Prenuptial Agreements by Seun(mod): 11:39pm On Mar 30, 2007
Story story! make una marry first!
Actually, pre-nuptial agreements come before marriage. So you can't "marry first", see? wink

Business › Re: Opening A Chain Of Shops by Seun(mod): 9:46pm On Mar 30, 2007
Business Tips For Your British Friend:
1) "If you don't have the skills to run a chain of shops in the UK, you can't run one in Nigeria."
2) "Every chain of shops starts with just one shop. If that one succeeds, then you can think of expansion."
3) "Excellent Customer service and consistent pricing are the ways to differentiate your shop in Nigeria."
4) "You will have to live in Nigeria and monitor your shops closely to avoid losing your investment."

No Nairaland muslim has bothered to condemn this action,
therefore I must conclude that this is the nature of Islam. What a shame.
Christianity Etc › Re: Gombe Muslim Students Have Put Me In Sorrow By Killing My Friend by Seun(mod): 1:32am On Mar 30, 2007
'Liberal' muslims must come out to condemn such barbarism. Sitting on the fence will no longer be acceptable to us.

@coolskeelz: Thanks so much for being the first person to confirm my experience.

@others: Why not wait until this 'expansion' thingie is complete before you buy a Multilinks phone for Internet access?

Culture › Re: Igbo And Yoruba Marriages? by Seun(mod): 11:38pm On Mar 29, 2007
One could say that many Igbo girls are so beautiful that they make Yoruba guys forget about their tribalism. wink

It could also be that Yoruba girls are more tribalistic than men, so they don't accept Igbo suitors. Research needed!
It could be that Yoruba girls can't stand the idea of "bringing an Igbo guy home to daddy", so they reject them.

If they are paying tax on that gas, they won't be willing to just burn it off. They will exploit it properly.
Christianity Etc › Re: Why Are There So Many Types Of Christianity? by Seun(mod): 11:20pm On Mar 29, 2007
It's because the bible can be interpreted in so many incompatible ways.

Politics › Re: Oil Companies Are Not Responsible For Niger Delta Development by Seun(mod): 11:00pm On Mar 29, 2007
The government should tax the oil companies at the same rate on the price of the oil and gas they come accross. Once they are paying the same amount of tax on the gas, it'll be up to them to decide whether to flare it! cheesy

Romance › Re: My Cousin's Girlfriend Fell For Me Online by Seun(mod): 10:48pm On Mar 29, 2007
why would she be running after them in the first place, doesn't she have better things to do than travelling from one place to the other in "search" of "friends" can't she keep her behind one place??
It's possible that she doesn't have better things to do with her time, but that doesn't make her actions wrong.
Romance › Re: Could I Be In Love With Two Men? by Seun(mod): 10:45pm On Mar 29, 2007
You don't know that for sure. Those that would 'hit the roof' would probably not ask this question.
