PoliticsRe: Advanced Congress Of Democrats (ACD) Address by Seun(mod): 11:07am On Mar 06, 2006
Introduction: From what I can gather (Google News), the Advanced Congress of Democrats is a newly registered Nigerian political party formed by loyalists of Vice President Atiku Abubakar formerly in PDP. Alhaji Bashir Dalhatu and Audu Ogbeh, founding members of the party, have been detained by the EFCC at one pooint or the other.

If her size is not a problem for her club and the English national team, why is it a problem for the Super Falcon?

Such is what you will expect of them. These boys are all-round musicians, a complete package.
PoliticsRe: Wole Soyinka For President? by Seun(mod): 9:04am On Mar 06, 2006
The issue is not whether he can win. The issue is whether he can perform. If he can convince the majority of Nigerians that he can perform, then he wil win in a free and fair election.

But can he perform? I doubt it. I'm sure he just wants to contest to make a point. He doesn't actually expect to win. The organizations in which he has been a leader haven't done very well. Or am I wrong?

RomanceRe: He Left Me Because I Can No Longer Support Him Financially by Seun(mod): 8:40am On Mar 06, 2006
Helo Anjuli. No, Nigerian men do not usually behave this way.

Perhaps he's just lazy and was using you for the financial security? Perhaps he felt you didn't suport his initiatives wholeheartedly? Perhaps he would have succeeded if your assistance wasn't half-hearted? Perhaps he was cheating on you all through this time? Perhaps the relationship was never meant to be but your determination to remain with him made it last so long?

I don't know the answer to these questions. Obviously you must be going through a lot right now. I guess other more experienced people will be able to shed more light on this perplexing story. What is it about him that you love so much, apart from tiem time and money you invested in the relationship?

RomanceRe: Post-breakup Etiquette! by Seun(mod): 7:09am On Mar 06, 2006
Well if your relationship is not going to end in marriage, then one day you must break up. And if one person has more expectations for the relationship than the order, the break-up is going to be painful.

So there's no reason to make a big deal of breakups. This is like a driver expresing surprise and making a big fuss whenever his car runs out of fuel! It's best to keep it cordial. Nasty break-ups are just wrong; try to help your ex-partner to manage his/her emotions in that critical period of rejections. Something that is so inevitable should be managed properly.

For most relationships, break-ups are inevitable. So it's better to keep it cordial. Who knows where you may meet in future?

TravelRe: Nigerians Abroad Must Return Home by Seun(mod): 4:35am On Mar 06, 2006
I'm so sorry about these experiences. Perhaps they flaunted too much wealth in a poor locality in Lagos and this attracted robbers. So many deaths in one family? Terrible and rare.

BusinessRe: Young Enterpreneur by Seun(mod): 12:32am On Mar 06, 2006
Hello puncho. Welcome to Nairaland! You've come to the right place. If you want to be successful as an entrepreneur, you need to focus on solving pressing problems.

Young and intelligent entrepreneurs often make the mistake of solving problems that are "cool" or "challenging" rather than problems that people are willing to pay for. But if you want to guarantee that your business will be successful, you need to line up all your ideas and choose the ideas that take away the pain of people who are willing to pay.

This site, for example, is valuable because it gives you the oppotunity to read what a fellow young entrepreneur has to say! It also solves the pressing problem of the advertisers who want more visitors on their websites. Yet it's a site than any teenager can build. Most good businesses are as simple as that!

So what are the specific ideas you have? Perhaps we can help you choose the most lucrative venture! wink
